lo mia couldn't help but agree with nicks thoughts since the world has already been thrown into turmoil because of the demons. if word about this new school of alchemy and cultivation of the body got out either nick would vanish over night and become a wanted man or he would be forced to create a massive amount of chaos from the impact of the information.
"ok so you won't share the information with the world but why not me?" lo mia said slightly irritated. nick looked at lo mia calmly "that is simple , i am not friends with you neither am i family to you as such i trust you as far as my sword will reach." he said without emotion only pure cold truth. lo mia was stunned but quickly realized that he was right as to him she had only gone on a single small trip with him and even that was in order to try to get him to get into a relationship with her. still that didn't change how harsh it sounded when laid b.a.r.e.
"i see, i don't know what i could do to change or mind but i will try." she said trying not to sound hurt. nick heard her an sighed "it is not a matter of trying but rather of nature as these things cannot be forced." nick said honestly. "you want something but you don't want to wait for however long it would take to achieve , speak of what you wanted to discuss before leaving me be." nick said flatly.
"there is no need as your words have already told me your answer." lo mia said before standing up and leaving with tears in her eyes. nick saw this and felt nothing as he truly thought nothing of lo mia besides having had gone on a small trip with her. After lo mia left nick put away the table and chairs before taking out the divine blood an drinking it in one gulp.

*assimilate y/n?*
'yes' nick mentally commanded. A bitter chill spread from nick's heart to the rest of his body before he fell into a meditative state as he released his restrictions. unknown to him his body began to change from what it looked like normally when he transformed. his scales grew from a golden hue to an almost black purple with thin streaks of gold while his wings grew thick feathers that matched his scales. he actually shrunk by three feet in height while his frame also grew more compact. on his face two slits grew above his eyes as his teeth grew a little sharper and his ears a bit longer. black fog rolled off of nicks scales lightly like a shimmer of darkness acting like a cloak. After the transformation was complete nick opened his eyes , all four of them. nick was unable to cope with his new senses at first but gradually got used to them as he began experimenting with his new bloodline's abilities he discovered that he could enter a separate dimension without light that was just outside of the regular one where he could bypass anything in the normal dimension without effort.
besides this nick learned that he could teleport attacks between places of darkness such as his own shadow and the shadow of something else. the most obvious difference was how much sharper his base senses grew. if before he had the senses of a normal person without his cultivation now he could match any cultivator below void chasing with his base senses

(Un)Prophesied Heroes
A regular guy in his 20s gets sucked into a world full of levels, monsters, gods, and propchecies with nothing but his ukulele and the clothes on his back. Uke in hand, Wesley made his way to the local branch of the Bard College to pick up a few levels and hit the road to travel the new world. For a while its all magic forests and incredible sights, but as time goes on it seems more and more likely that Wesley is actually one of these "prophesied heroes" that the lore on this world is full of. Fortunately for him, whatever Dark Lord he was supposed to duel didn't seem to get the memo and the world seems to be at peace. So it's probably nothing, right? This is the story of Wesley's adventuring party as they do their best to get him to fulfull his destiny. A power-hungry [Rogue], a slightly evil [Cleric], a [Mage] that just wants to go home, and a [Lord] who just wants to study the blade. Hopefully destiny is on their side, because the gods seem content to watch them struggle. Author's Note: This story should update once per week, but it might update more.
