It only took a half hour to get to the sparring arenas where there were several groups of people talking while they waited for either a partner or an open space on an arena. the area grew quiet when nick was noticed as a third tier student approached nick and jakob. the student was a large muscle covered man with with short blonde hair who stood a little taller than nick since nick had not transformed. "so you are the arrogant bastard who has most of the women at school swooning over , you don't look like much ." the man said with disdain. jakob looked at the man and shook his head in pity. nick felt the disdain in the mans voice and grew irritated "did you need something or are you only here to stroke your ego." nick said viciously. the mans face grew dark with anger before he released a small amount of blood l.u.s.t in order to try to intimidate nick. nick just laughed at the pitiful amount before releasing his own blood l.u.s.t. instantly the surrounding temperature dropped as an ominous red aura manifested around nick with ice forming on the ground at his feet.

the man and almost everyone nearby grew pale as they felt nicks blood l.u.s.t. the mans eyes narrowed in horror as he realized that he might have being poking a sleeping beast. nick suppressed his blood l.u.s.t again before nodding at the man in approval. "not bad you didn't retreat even an inch despite the fear you felt , well done." he said honestly. the man calmed his racing heart before speaking. "thank you for the praise sorry about that act before we all just wanted to test you out , no hard feelings yeah?" the man said nervously. nick nodded in understanding "i see in that case its fine , i thought something was odd from how weak your blood l.u.s.t was let me guess you haven't actually gotten into that many life and death battles right?" nick said pointing out the heart of the matter easily. the man shrugged awkwardly "yeah i typically train in peace like most of the people here." he said honestly. nick nodded "there's nothing wrong with that but eventually you'll face a life threatening situation so its best to try to get used to them." nick said before dismissing the matter "enough about that me and my friend here thought we would come get some sparring on since he needs to work on his fighting style." nick said while pointing to jakob next to him.

the man was stunned for a moment before he sized jakob up suspiciously before a look of confusion appeared on his face. "from you my senses tell me to run but from him." the man pointed at jakob "my senses say i could take him." he said confusion obvious. nick laughed for a good minute before he managed to regain his composure "ah sorry about that its just funny to me that i keep forgetting that those weaker than you are typically considered followers rather than friends. well to explain it simply we used to be about the same in terms of strength when we became friends but i rapidly grew stronger and he couldn't keep up which is how we ended up like this. to simplify we were friends before i became so much stronger and i just didn't see why our statuses should change." nick explained honestly. the man nods in understanding before speaking "well that explains that but what i don't understand is why you yourself are here?" the man asked trying to figure it out.
