Jakob sighed while rubbing his forehead. "of course you would fight that person how could i ever think you would do anything else." he said tired. nick noticed jakobs attitude but chose to ignore it. "so you want to go get some lunch its on me." nick said with a grin. jakob cheered up a bit at nicks offer while azdra also perked up when he heard the word lunch. "sure lets go to the local heavens pagoda since we can at least go up to the third floor so long as you host." jakob said with a grin. nick shrugged "sure I'm rather curious whether the food would be useful for cultivators at our levels." nick agreed to jakobs idea. the two men left the sparing area and headed to the the main office to check out. it was a short trip that only took them a few minutes since they were walking. walking through the door nick felt a bit of pressure on his neck which felt kind of like a mosquito landing on him so he smacked his neck where he felt it resulting in a loud crunch as a throwing needle was crushed under his hand.
nick grabbed the flattened needle and looked at it furiously before releasing his full power from his rage. "WHO DARES!" nick roared furiously as the pressure coming from him forced a large portion of the people in the building onto the ground while making it difficult for the people it didn't including jakob who had never seen nick so angry before. nicks transformed form stood over everyone in the room and unknown to nick each time he exhaled a small plume of silver flame came out making nick look even more intimidating. nick furiously scanned the room till he found a hooded figure struggling on the ground with a thin needle in their left hand. "FOUND YOU!" nicks voice rumbled through the air as all the pressure nick was releasing focused on that figure. the figure coughed up blood as the pressure started to crush them while they couldn't breath since the air was too heavy for them to breath in easily. nick walked towards the prone figure his every step cracking the ground under him as the space around him quaked as though in fear. nick stopped directly in front of the figure as his figure loomed over them they choked out three words "do your worst." before passing out.

nick grabbed the figures limp body and suppressed his power again transforming back into is normal form before he removed the figures hood to reveal a thin girl with short brown hair and an average face that was purple from asphyxiation but the girl had started to breath again causing the color to start to recede slowly. nick looked around coldly "does anyone know who this is?" he asked while holding the girl where everyone can see her face. everyone nearby looked at the girl angrily as they had all been subject to nicks wrath because of her actions. nick watched everyone's expressions before his vision locked onto another girl who had a stunned expression as she looked at the assassin girls face. "you there what do you know of the person?" nick questioned the girl coldly. "i-i k-know her f-from class." the girl stutters out fearfully. nick stares at the frightened girl anger still in his eyes "what is her name." he asked impatiently. the girl swallows her saliva "it was aria Redman "she said still highly frightened.

The Painter: A fantasy psych thriller and epic
*** June 21th Update ***- New chapters are being posted! I haven't figured out a schedule yet, but stay tuned!- Thank you to everyone who has read and reviewed, I'm happy to say The Painter is in the top 200 best-rated fictions. - Readers of The Painter have suggested reading through Chapter 6 before making a decision on this book.- The story takes place in the Lootverse, but you don't need a canonical understanding to appreciate the storyFinally, a warning or reader beware: This is not an action novel (despite the coming fight scene) but a slow-burn psychological thriller of sorts. For a time, the Painter's life was simple. He lived in the small town of Kinon (called Kinney by locals) with his wife, Kahriah and his son, Thesdon. The story begins with him alone and unable to travel more than a few hundred miles from his home. For 5 years he tried to chart his prison until one day a letter appears with a mysterious commission that will see him test his condition and his boundary. Set roughly 50 years before the impending end of days (from Loot canon), The Painter is a story about loss, grit, and exploration of a seemingly normal man in a world of magic and monsters. The Painter will follow the man on his adventure to restore his family, uncover his commissioners and discover the nature of his condition. Loot is the decentralized, global, community built fantasy world based on Dom Hoffman's art/tech experiment: Loot. Fun fact: The cover of our book is painted by the artist, who the MC is loosely based on and the same person painting the Banners (digitally) IRL for an art/worldbuilding project.

The Systems of the Multiverse - A Guide for the Multiversal Traveler
The Systems of the Multiverse have their issues. I, an observer from outside the multiverse have made it into my mission to tell you, the multiversal traveler about those issues and dangers. This is a relatively low effort NaNoWriMo and Writhathon project. I want to test myself if I can manage 55k words in a month, likely updating every single day until the end. This story is told in the form of an in universe book. Well, I say story... While this definetly won't be great, I still hope it will be enjoyable. I do my best to avoid grammar mistakes and spelling issues, but won't promise anything. Corrections are welcome, this is also an excercise to improve my writing from a technical standpoint. Not from a worldbuilding and character standpoint however, for that you need time. Oh, the keyboards (and computers) that the observer destroys are not real and only exists in story to have an excuse to easily end this story at the end of NaNoWriMo. I also personally like reading LitRPG stories, so this isn't meant to hate them. It might come over that way, but many of those issues are simply fun to think about: what would really happen if the world is so, seen through a lease of negativity :-) [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
