Nick felt the space warp around him and could only curse his luck as he knew he was definitely going to take a while to get a stygian bear now or so he thought. the moment nick arrived at the end of the spatial point he landed directly in a large arena like area with a dome cover to entire thing and only a single door way on the other side of it. nick took a step towards the doorway and an voice spoke in his head. "welcome young man to the inheritance ground of the ill.u.s.trious lord of a thousand faces!" the voice sounded like many different voices both male and female which was disorienting at the very least. nick sighed "I'm guessing this is the part where you tell me how its such an honor for me to be here and how if I'm worthy I'll be the inheritor of your creators legacy right?" nick said bored. the voice was was silent for a moment before speaking again "well i was , way to kill the mood young man. no matter your first test is to defeat an enemy far stronger than yourself best of luck." the voice said before a flash of light blinded nick temporarily . When he got his sight back nick cursed loudly "are you f.u.c.k.i.n.g kidding me!" he yelled confusing both the voice and his opponent. the opponent was a massive pearl white bear the size of an elephant with seven crimson streaks down its back and two massive canines on it top jaw like daggers. the bears eyes were a deep purple and glowed faintly. this bear was precisely the creature nick was looking for a stygian bear , however nick didn't need the system to tell him that this particular stygian bear was a tier seven beast making it an entire tier higher than the one he wanted to kill. the reason nick could tell what tier the bear was the fact that stygian bears gained a stripe of crimson for each tier they were in. the stygian bear c.o.c.ked its head while looking confused since not only was nick not afraid of it he seemed angry instead which contradicted what it knew of humans. nick took a deep breath to calm himself before transforming into his released form however it was a little different this time as his hair turned white which immediately caught his attention.

"Well this is new" he said to no one in particular. seeing no other difference nick ignored it before looking at the stygian bear that stood tensed as its instincts told it that nick was dangerous. drawing yin yun nicks aura raged out making it clear to the stygian bear that the person before meant to take its life. the bear roared causing the air to shake before lumbering towards nick its great weigh crushing the earth beneath it. nick quickly used his experience from the terracotta bear to dodge to the side of the bear and slash at it leaving only a small scratch not even drawing blood causing him to frown. 'this is going to be a pain in the a.s.s.' nick thought before ducking under the claws of the stygian bear as it retaliated. nick skirted through the bears under arms were it couldn't strike him while on all fours slicing at the same spot over and over again eventually drawing blood and creating a weak point on the bears body.

Taverns edge - A mercenary's guide to Ley Line traveling
The taverns edge is a fiction that centers around a pair of unusual friends. A mercenary that happens to be a princess of fae, but prefers to stay in a well-known établissement instead of staying in the Sidhe. Moira. Being half a dragon doesn't really help getting along with snobbish elitists at her mother's court. Like all sidhe she likes to strike a good deal... Which has led into many a disaster... Though she always tends to get by, especially when she gets home to the Tavern on the edge. The mentioned établissement is run by the formidable Barkeeper and jack of all trades Tora, who happens to have a very interesting past. Which involves more than one sinister secret... Now add to the mix a totally clueless elven girl - a mortal, not a fae- on the run. Lunara. She has unknowingly struck a deal with the devil - quite literally. Now unable to handle the consequences on her own she enters the tavern on the edge. An epicenter for magic and the only place where she might find help. She talks Moira into helping her out. A race against time begins as the deal's symbols appear on Lunara's skin. The journey leads to the dwarven empire, the sidhe and wherever the crossing leylines under the tavern may lead. This fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood. English is not my native language, so please don't be harsh. This story is an adaption of an idea, that we, a friend of mine and me, have developed over a few months while taking a break from learning. Some parts were written by Emberspark. Thank you for allowing me to work with your ideas and letting me publish this as a whole. Updates... I will try to frequently update both of my fictions... Well in case you are interested I post it on Scribble hub, too. I really don't steal from myself 😂

The Animo Saga
Before history was well-recorded in the world of Ulakam, primordial animal spirits adopted humans, provided protection and developed deep spiritual connections with them. Millennia later, humans now host animal spirits and are split into tribes named for the species they host. Ulakam is slowly being consumed by a decades-long war pitting the main tribes against the smaller tribes and a group of bandits calling themselves "the resistance". Callida Animo was born into this world. Coming from a mixed family of generational soldiers, Callida joined the family business at a young age. In her words, she was practically bred, born, and raised to be a soldier. And she's good at what she does... which inevitably attracts attention that makes her unambitious self extremely uncomfortable. Love, loss, influence and growth. This is her story. Written episodically, this story focuses on relationships and character growth through a series of mini-arcs that connect to make a greater whole. (Honestly, the story would lend itself well to a TV series.) "Episodes" range from 3-7 chapters (at least so far), and average about 4 or 5 chapters. Author's note: I'm always thrilled to receive comments, follows, ratings/reviews, messages.... All forms of feedback are welcome and encouraged. However, I have no interest in begging readers for more engagement to get better visibility. I tried that with my last story and found the game soul-sucking. So! This constitutes my only self-promotion request. If you are reading this story, let me know what you think! I love engaging with my readers. We'll see if growing the readership organically is even possible. Thank you! 😘 Release schedule: Weekly on Wednesday afternoons
