Bellania grabbed the book before storming off upset leaving the rest of her family and nick behind at the table. "well since that's out of the way do go on." nick said calmly. victoria was surprised at how easily nick dismissed her daughter and couldn't help asking "are you truly not even slightly interested in my daughter?" she asked curiously. nick shook his head "i have no intention of settling down anytime soon." he said honestly. victoria nodded "i understand." she said before growing quiet. "back to the topic at hand the exact terms of the deal is that in exchange for my backing you will give only my family a improved idea that you have that is capable of allowing us to exceed the other ducal families." lucian said seriously. nick thought for a moment "only so long as you don't ask for another if someone else manages to copy it since after all if i can think of it there is definitely someone else capable of doing the same." he replied seriously. lucian frowned slightly when he heard the amendment nick made to the deal but still agreed as it was reasonable.

Nick casually walked up to the young man before speaking "it's just a heavy door." he said calmly spooking the blonde haired man who didn't notice nick walk up behind him. "good gods man don't sneak up on someone like that!" the man said angrily before freezing when he noticed who he just scolded. nick noticed the young mans response to him but couldn't think of a reason for such a response. "judging from your reaction you seem to know me somehow and yet i am absolutely sure we have never met so the question remains , why did you react like that?" nick asked in a cheshire manner. the young man swallowed his saliva nervously "i came to tell you to stay away from bellania hartfell!" he said nervously. nick raised an eyebrow "ah i see , so you must be the one who was trying to pursue her." nick said before laughing out loud.
