The spirit told nick that it would take a few weeks for the pocket dimension to become functional at which point nick had the spirit send him out back into the forest he was in before he entered the inheritance ground. nick arrived in the twilight forest and stood on alert immediately as he knew that if he wasn't careful he could die from the extremely powerful creatures that lived in this forest. nick observed his surrounding carefully and after ensuring that that he was safe he started making his way to the outer edges of the forest where he had came from by following the marks he had left as he traveled that while faint from the passage of time enough was left for him to use. after traveling for a few hours and the sun started to fall nick finally left the forest and breathed a sigh of relief as his nerves relaxed a large amount before he pulled out the one time use talisman that he had gotten from the welk clan to return to their clan dimension and activated it which caused the space to tremble before a portal opened.

Nick observed the portal for a moment before sending his divine sense through which confirmed that the welk clan did not play any dirty tricks with the talisman itself before he entered the portal while making sure that he didn't touch the ground on the other side but floated above it by an almost unnoticeable amount. once through the portal nick observed his surroundings carefully and after he saw no signs of foul play he walked towards the building in the far distance of the valley. what nick was unaware of was that the moment he used the talisman the leader of the welk clan who had a connection to the dimension knew about it immediately. the clan leader had a headache when he felt that nick had returned because the truth was that he was very tempted to try to capture nick but he also remembered the threat nick had given when he had confronted him shortly before he left. while nick was gone the clan leader had the welk clans elders search the entire dimension for any sign of whatever the basis of that threat was but found nothing meaning nick was either bluffing or he had whatever it was on his person at all times.

After learning about nick from jakob the clan leader knew immediately that nick was not bluffing which left him with the dreaded second option that nick had the thing on his person. the worst part about the second option is that it means that he cannot really target whatever it is because the only time it would be used would be if the welk clan did something untoward , in the end the clan leader had no other option but to play nice. the clan leader warped to nick with a kindly expression which threw nick off slightly but after thinking about it for a moment he snickered mentally because he roughly knew what the clan leader was trying to do.
