Walking over the where jakob and nick were standing the clan leader cleared his throat in order to get their attention. both nick and jakob stopped negotiating temporarily and turned to look at the clan leader with semi irritated expressions. "first i would like to congratulate the two of you for obtaining the inheritance." the clan leader said ignoring the expressions on the twos faces. "next i would like to know what exactly happened for the two of you to obtain the inheritance so quickly as well as would got the main part of the inheritance." the clan leader then said seriously. nick looked at jakob who made a 'go ahead' gesture before looking back to the clan leader. "well according to the spirit in charge of the inheritance it has been observing everyone who entered this mountain for about a hundred thousand years but since none of the ones who entered fit the requirements set to obtain the inheritance it never called out to them or that was the case until your clan found the cave leading to the inheritance quite some time ago and sent miners in where it tried to call the worthy only for your people to ignore its beckons."
Nick paused so the clan leader could process all of the information before he continued. "after being ignored after having waited so long the spirit grew more and more impatient until eventually one of your miners found the entrance and reported it to you which led to this situation where the spirit gave the inheritance to the two most physically powerful youths you sent into the entrance which was both me and jakob. as for who got the main part of the inheritance that would be neither of us as the inheritance was in truth merely the treasure stores of the one who created the inheritance." nick explained calmly. the clan leader felt like hitting nick since the way he explained the situation made it sound like it was the welk clans fault that he obtained the inheritance due to their own incompetence. the thing that bothered the clan leader the most though was that despite what he thought the inheritance itself was merely some experts lifetime acc.u.mulation of treasure which granted was quite valuable it was by no means as useful as a peak cultivation or battle art to a large clan like the welk clan.

"in that case i suppose our business is complete so i will have to ask you to leave the welk clan now." the clan leader said to nick seriously. nick nodded in understanding before looking at jakob. "will you be returning with me or will you stay here for a while longer?" he asked casually. jakob thought about it for a moment before answering "i suppose I'll return after i divide the spoils with the clan as is proper as a member of the welk clan." he said seriously. nick nodded before handing jakob a talisman "this will let you find the current position of my residence back at the academy." he said before entering his own newly acquired space much to the horror of the clan leader who watched on in shock. once in the separate space nick noticed that the expansion was well under way to which he nodded in satisfaction before using the realm to sense the imprint he left at his residence back at the academy and opening a rift on his floating base before walking out and closing the rift.

Steamforged Sorcery [A Steampunk LitRPG]
This is a fantasy story in a steampunk setting, not a sci-fi. The Great War ravaged the face of the earth many years ago. In the years that passed, the world rebuilt, mixing machinery and magic to form something new. Great blimps took to the sky, belching steam and smoke as metal cities sprouted like weeds below. Angel, a talented mage, scours the desert endlessly in search of lost knowledge. When it unexpectedly falls into his hands, he quickly comes to realize that the world is far larger – and far more deadly – than he ever could have predicted. But no amount of danger is going to keep Angel from seeking out greater strength and traveling the world, claiming all the greatest treasure that it has to offer. To most, the desert is a dangerous threat to be feared. To Angel, it’s a land of opportunity, waiting to be exploited. Steamforged Sorcery is, as the title suggests, a LitRPG Steampunk story with heavy focus on magic and scenery. The main character starts out relatively strong (but far from overpowered) but will eventually grow in strength to incredible levels. It is moderately paced and does not progress at ridiculous speeds. Release Schedule: 1,500 words daily Monday-Friday

No seasons to tell us when to change,we just do. When it all started, we all change immediately or we die. It's change or die. I changed.
