《The Heavens System Subsidiary (I Was Chosen By The Word)》Chapter 26 - [Low S-Rank Danger Threat Dark Beast] (Part 1)

The Morning forest is colossal, far-reaching, shadowy, and Diverse. Canopies were provided by Various trees like cottonwood and maple. Through the canopies, Light was allowed to pass down to the flat grounds below. Unique variations of noises that sounded animal-like reverberated through the air and were followed by booming steps in the distance.
Through the tress passed a shadow moving at high speeds. Wherever the shadow passed the sound of an object splitting the wind followed. Vincent moved at high speed through the forest, He could only be perceived as a blur to those at the Earthbound level and Sky-Borne Level (Level 1 – 30)
Vincent has been Journeying through the trees and he has been regretting every single minute of it.
'I Should have just taken a carriage; it would have been so much faster. I just needed to wait a few more days (He thought in regret)
A Carriage was mostly used by elites or those that can afford it. Carriages are inscribed with Anti-Beast repellant mixed with protection and illusion. And if this is not enough, there are elite carriages that contain at least more than one [Middle Sky-Borne Level] (Level 20-25) for protection, some elite carriages may have a [Sky-Path Level] (Level 30-45).
A Carriage from the small city to the Capital would normally have taken 5 days, but when Vincent was in the city most of the carriages were already in the Capital or other cities, It would take at least 7 Days for a carriage to arrive back and that's if they don't encounter any [Dark Beast] the Protection struggled to defeat.
One was supposed to arrive a few days ago but it has not been seen, so it was marked off as Compromised
'*Sigh*, This was a very stupid plan' (Vincent thought in regret)
Originally, Vincent would have gotten to the city the day before but due to passing out on the third day, His trip got delayed. Now it'll take Vincent at least a day to get to the capital.
''I really should have just taken a~''
''!!!"

Vincent thought process was cut off by the sudden great sickly smell that assaulted his nostrils.
His senses got overloaded by the smell, it made him incorrectly calculate his jump which made him miss the next branch and plummet straight to the hard-unforgiven ground.
Vincent rolled on the ground and stopped when his back hit a tree, relaxing his body on the tree he could only focus on the pungent smell that caused a lot of Headache. After a while, the headache subsided, Vincent's breathing became less erratic and more stable.
Vincent gagged and spat out to the Ground ''Fuck!''
[I didn't expect you to be this affected]
''No Shit!''
Vincent gained his footing and stood from the ground, the smell in the air hadn't disappeared he had just gotten used to it...…Somewhat
Vincent covered his nose and squinted his eyes, ''Where the fuck is this smell coming from''
[I suggest you look behind the tree]
Vincent squinted his eyebrows, ''This Tree?''
Vincent rounded the tree. He was met with a scene that caused him to spill out his gut beside the tree.
The forest was littered with bodies, Punctured and limbless fighters, and weapons. Red was now the color of the forest. The air was filled with the thick smell of gore, death, and blood. A Sight that would bring Nightmares to most and unpleasantness to Vincent
It was a clear sight of the massacre, the remains of the Warriors who had fought against something they couldn't handle. Their faces were grim with horror and some with acceptance of death
''The destiny of the weak... Death by the powerful'' (Vincent said quietly with a grim tone)
''The [Dark Beast] that did this must have been quite a high level''
[Host. There is a mix of old bodies with new ones]
''Old Bodies with new ones... Meaning some of these bodies had been killed for a while before another''
[Walked into the trap]
'Shit!'
[Mana Burst]
BOOM
Vincent enhanced brain and quick reflexes narrowly saved him from a life-ending swipe to the head. With the help of [Mana Burst], Vincent tried to create distance between him and the threat to his life. But the Threat was quite quick, it appeared again before Vincent and reached out to him in an attempt to again end his life.

In Vincent's eyes, A claw approached him with a Normal speed. His Reflexes kicked in again and Vincent used [Authority of Flames] and created a blast of flames at the Threat.
The Blast pushed the threat backward a great distance, and Vincent released himself to the power of the Burst. He was sent through the air and by many Trees, deeper into the Forest.
In the Air, Vincent quickly tore off a piece of his shirt and dropped it on the branch of a tree he passed by, then he used [My Illusions Are Your Reality] and made the Tree look humanoid.
He then flipped himself and dug his feet into the ground bringing him to stop, thereafter he dashed into the Bushes and cast another illusion on himself.
This proved to be the right choice because a moment later the Tree that Vincent had placed an Illusion on was pierced by a claw then it was uprooted from the Ground.
Vincent quickly used [Status] on the Sudden Attacker
[Name: Arnaf Shadowgaze
Race: Danger Beast/Nightmare
Danger Threat: Low S-Rank
Description: The Beast is a….]
[FORGET ABOUT THE [STATUS], JUST RUN!!!]
Vincent took the Advice of the [Subsidiary System] and used [Consecutive Mana Burst] to dash in a random direction away from the Beast.
The Sound of the [Mana Burst] alerted the [Dark Beast] to Vincent's position, unwilling to let a Prey get away. The [Dark Beast] dashed after Him.
The Fight between Vincent and the [Dark Beast] became like a Cat-Mouse chase, Vincent continually spammed [Consecutive Mana Burst] to the Upmost Extent and was Slowly leaving the Sight of the [Dark Beast].
Vincent noticed that he was almost successfully escaping the [Dark Beast] and was about to use another [Mana Burst] but a buzz reverberated in his head, Which caused Vincent to reflexively twisted himself mid-Air to narrowly dodge a Fire spear that passed by him and hit the tree he was about to jump onto,
The Flame Spear exploded and Blasted the tree to Smithereens taking a lot of other trees with it.
Vincent stared with wide eyes at the damage and thought 'What in The Heavens Fuck! When did Dark Beasts get AOE Skills' (Vincent shouted inwardly)?
Another buzz resounded in his head again, He quickly used his expert control in [Ether Manipulation] to project a hard shield of Ether, another flame spear zoomed onto the shield.
Instead of absorbing the Impact, he used the shield to redirect the Flame Spear to another Unfortunate tree or Rather trees.
BOOM
Vincent ignored the effects of the spear and used [Ether Manipulation] to create a footing in the air which he used to land safely.
He braced himself for the approaching beast while using his minuscule time to come up with a plan.
The Beast appeared Infront of Vincent and slashed at him, Vincent immediately crouched and landed a spin kick powered by Ether on the Chin of the Beast, the [Dark Beast] flew into the air and onto the Ground scattering dust into the air.
Not through with the Beast, Vincent jumped high into the air and spat out torrents of flames onto the [Dark beast].
He landed on the branch of a tree and kept his sight on the position of the Dark Beast that was filled with smoke.
A flame spear zoomed out of the smoke dome and onto Vincent's position at even greater speed, the familiar Buzz came again, Vincent ignored it and crossed his arms, and braced himself for impact.
The flame spear reached Vincent's guard and exploded. This time the blast was so large that everything behind him went up in flames, Explosions, smoke, and dust.
From the flames, Vincent walked out naked. From his Expression, Vincent wasn't happy in the slightest.
'I Should have looked left before crossing the street' (Vincent thought in Regret)
