《The Heavens System Subsidiary (I Was Chosen By The Word)》Chapter 44 - Encounter With [Taudar Maeth Mammoth]

Thus he went into slumber to reach the library. There he spent the entire night assimilating knowledge he had read.
///The Next Day///
Instructor Selussa's classes ended and Vincent was the first person to leave his seat, after absorbing the knowledge he had compiled in the library all he wants to do now is lay on his bed and head off to sleep.
Although he didn't make it far.
Before he could leave the room Instructor Selussa called all those leaving back for a serious matter
Vincent groaned quietly but regardless strolled back and settled, waiting for Instructor Selussa to leave
Selussa smiled slightly at the discreet displeasure from Vincent and addressed the class
"Sorry for the hold-up but I have an important announcement"
"3 months from now, the school will be hosting its annual [Dark Beast] extermination event"
The students digested the information and some were immediately filled with anxiety and some with fear.
They thought to themselves, that they were just new students and now they might have to fight against the ferocious [Dark Beast]
The instructor could sense the tense atmosphere she unknowingly rather knowingly created
Selussa smiled slightly, 'still childrens', then she looked at Vincent and was slightly startled, unlike the other student's Vincent on the other hand couldn't care less and be mostly indifferent and partly tired
Selussa shook her head in slight mockery and thought, 'let's see you indifferent to this'
"Of course participation in this event is completely voluntary and is not compulsory nor would it affect your overall grade" she addressed to the students.
All the students let out a breath of relief. Most of them now plan to stay away from the annual extermination event.
But Instructor Selussa had yet not finished
"Although, if anyone enters the competition and successfully kills a [Dark Beast] then he or she would be gifted Merit Points for the new school system that would be implemented after the event."

The student's interest was piqued again. A new school system was something that scarcely happens most of the students didn't even know the school could do such a thing, only those of noble/clan upbringing know about the last time the school changed its system.
They knew that they had to take this seriously, although the pompous ones chose not to.
"I cannot tell you what the merit points would be used for but I can at least tell you this... It Is better to engage in this activity or you will regret it" Selussa continued
The class went silent
Selussa stared at all of them with stern eyes, in face of those eyes, Vincent became slightly more serious.
The pressure in the room increased the longer she stared then she suddenly snickered causing all the pressure to evaporate like air.
"I'm just kidding. 3 months from now the event will begin, you'll get more information from other instructors as well"
"You are dismissed"
Instructor Selussa left after dismissing the students, Vincent soon followed after but was stopped by a student.
The student was a tall light-dark shade boy only a few meters short of Vincent.
The boy had brown wavy hair tight in a ponytail and begets a lean face furrowed in slight displeasure, Narrow gray eyes stared disdain at Vincent.
Vincent could pick up a composed, royal, and honorable aura around him but most of all a murderous one.
Like dust, the student malicious intent evaporated when he walked forward to talk to Vincent
He instead smiled curtly and walked towards Vincent with positivity and a tone of dominance.
"Greetings fellow student Vincent"
Vincent yawned while replying, "Hello student...''
"Taudar", he interrupted, "Taudar Maeth and I'll like to talk with you"
"Then speak" Vincent replied impatiently, 'I don't have time for this.' he thought

"I meant privately"
Vincent stayed silent for a while and quietly scrutinized Taudar before deciding to follow.
"Okay, lead the way"
Taudar led Vincent to the cafeteria that was surprisingly now deserted.
'He seems to be a big shot.' Vincent thought
Vincent was led to random seating and was gestured to the chair which he heeded without resistance.
Immediately they were served tea by two boys, they were both students.
The first boy was a migas by the two horns protecting out his head. He stood at average height, had black short hair, a chiseled build, and an unblemished smooth face.
On his vest pocket was the inscribed letter [A-B Rank]
The second boy was also a migas born but he only had one feature differentiating him being his dull orange slitted eyes, apart from that he had no other migas feature.
He had pale skin and a lean build, he looked like a person recovering from a severe sickness.
Embedded on his Vest-pocket was the letter [A-C Rank]
'A servant.'
[No, A slave]
'Oh,....'
The system was a little shocked by his host's indifference.
[Is this your reply?]
'You don't expect me to feel sympathy and try to save him, do you?' He inquired.
[Is it wrong to assume that?]
'No. But there are two reasons for my apathy.'
'One, I am too incapable to make a difference.'
[But with The~]
'Then comes to the second reason, How does it benefit me.'
[.....]
'Yes with [The Word] I can help him but is it worth it.'
'After all, if I use [The Word], I'll have to remove his memory since no one can find out about it, hence he won't remember about my deed so he won't repay me if we ever meet again.'
'Moreover, after I save him I'll still have to fend off the school'
'I thought you were smarter than this [System]'.
['Truly a reasonable soul'] The system thought to itself
'Although if I need him I'll help but enough about that show me the [Status]'
[Understood]

There was an awkward silence between them until Taudar began
"I will go straight to the point now"
"I want you to move to North of Aempleforth and stay there forever"
Vincent kept quiet for a while then abruptly laughed out loud, The two lackeys behind Taudar tried to approach but he signified them to stop.
Moments later Vincent stopped and stared at Taudar seriously, he displayed the KI he had that made the two lackeys shiver and lightly shook Taudar

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
