Chapter 47

Everyone was chatting excitedly in the classroom and so hyped about the news they'd received.

A two days field trip.

Looking down on the pamphlet for their itinerary, it seemed that the trip will be just around Capital City but the second day tour is a little too far so they will have to stay in a hotel for a night.

As much as everyone was excited, Andy wasn't.

"Hey, why the long face?" Rina tapped her arm.

Andy smiled dryly. "Nothing."

Well, it's just that the first day of the tour would be one of vL's current main construction projects. Does fate mocking her?

Day of Field Trip

Early morning of the trip, everyone gathered for a briefing then proceeded to ride their assigned buses.

Sitting half of the bus from the front were the ladies and half to the back were the gentlemen.

There were three buses in total including other classes. Basically they were shuffled and unfortunately Rina was on the other bus.

Though, Andy and Erika were on the same bus, they were seated separately across the aisle but still enough to take glances if they want to. Both were seated by the window.

As they arrived in the project site, they were instructed to gather for a short briefing by the Safety Officer in-charged.

The man explained in detail some safety measures including the wearing of protective equipments like safety vest and hard hats.

"Oh right, I'm saying you are the luckiest batch of students for this tour of yours." The man said.

"Well, as the saying goes: timing is everything."

"It's just so happen that The President has visited us today and decided to give some face to you."

"Wow…" an awe and whispering were heard around.

"This has never happened before." The man proudly stated.

"The one to give you insights and wisdom, please help me welcome, vL Properties and vL Builder's president."

"President Kevin Lewis."

Around of applause resounded in the vicinity.

A man, in his folded long sleeved polo, walked gracefully with every stride. Equipped with a demeanor that shows he's at the top of his game; a successful business man; the most eligible bachelor in town.

All the ladies gaped in awe with sparkling eyes.

Who doesn't know Kevin Lewis in the construction industry?

Even the professors that were with them were fidgeting and restless as though they just saw something extra ordinary.

While Andy on the other hand has been gnashing her teeth and clenching her fist.

What the heck her brother thinking?

What the hell is he doing there?

Since when did her brother visited the project site?

Well, usually, the higher ups would come only for ground breaking and ribbon cutting and not on the stage of ongoing construction, especially not her family.

Him being there wasn't coincidence. She could tell.

So Andy concluded that her brother is up to something.

"Good morning Future Architects." Kevin greeted wearing his business smile.

He wandered his gaze around, as though looking for someone and teasingly smiled as it landed on his sister.

Andy stared at him. A kind of stare that could pierce through. If stares could kill then Kevin would be lying dead already on that podium. Hahaha

After awhile of inspiring his crowd with some flowering words, he moved to a topic that caught everyone's interests.

"So who would want to guess first?"

He was asking about that signature his company has; that thing on top of every building.

"I'm giving compensation who could guess it right and be assured that it's not going to be just some pocket money."

A fervent wave of whispers and discussions spread among the crowd.

"Guess I will just pinpoint someone."

Andy could see that grin in his brother's mouth and those knowing eyes directed at her.

"To this lady that caught my eye," Kevin made his way and stopped in front of Erika.

He bent down a little and held her hand then gently kissed it. Yeah, he kissed it.

Everyone's jaw dropped much more to Erika. She stood there frozen.

"Has anybody told you that your beauty is comparable to that of an angel?"
