Chapter 53

Mei spurted her drinks and was coughing at the sight of someone entering the pizza place.

Erika wiped some that spilled on her arms and shirt with a disgusted face.

"What's wrong with you?"

"Speak of the devil." Mei pointed with her lips.

"That's one of the girls in the restaurant that I'd been talking about."

Erika looked at the direction and saw Donna.

The girl seemed to notice her too and gave a wave along with a smile.

"Erika, you're here." Donna cheerfully approached the table.

"Yeah, you're alone?"

Donna shook her head. "I'm with Andy. Mind if we share a table?"

Andy emerged as Erika nodded for her agreement.

Mei leaned a little to Erika and whispered, "Is she your Andy?"

Erika nodded.

Mei clenched her first.

How could she not recognize Erika's Andy and that girl in the restaurant are one. Well, maybe because her cousin only showed her a picture once.

By then, Mei curved a devilish smile and adjusted her position to squeezed closer to Erika and linked her arm around her cousin's, enough to brushed her busted breast intentionally.

Both Andy and Donna noticed it making them baffled for that instance.

As they were seated, Donna hinted Erika to introduced her companion.

"Right sorry, guys, this is…."

Mei grabbed Erika's sleeve forcefully than she intend to, to cut the girl off, revealing Erika's bare neck and bra strap.

Erika fixed her shirt quickly and glared at her cousin.

"What are you doing?"

"Oh, sorry that was unintentional," Mei apologized then faced Andy with her warmest smile.

"Hi, I'm Mei Trevor," she extend her hand to Andy.

"I'm Erika's future girlfriend." She added.

Both Donna and Andy's jaw dropped and wandered their gazes to Erika for an inquiry and back to Mei.

Erika hid her face behind her palms as Mei was stamping her feet under the table, signifying her to just stay put and go with the flow.

"I mean girlfriend to be?" Mei continued.

"No, soon to be girlfriend?."

"Ahh, what's the right word?"

"Right, suitor. I'm her diligent suitor." She finally concluded.

Donna faked a smile, tilted her head and reached out Mei's extended hand even if it was directed to Andy. Her friend was just seated frozen there.

"Hi, I'm Donna Rowan and this is my friend Andy Lewis."

Andy by then was able to give a nod and a smile.

Then Mei noticed something with the girls confused gazes to her linking arms with her cousin.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm the clingy type," then rubbed herself more to Erika.

Both again, faked a smile.

"Hmm soon to be girlfriend?" Donna reluctantly asked.

Mei let out a victorious smile. "Yeah, I'd been wooing her and she's just keeping me at bay."

"Guess, she'll be mine sooner so… yeah, soon to be girlfriend."

Donna could only nod and throw a glance at her friend in her side.

'If only Andy is this bold.'

"What was that?" Erika angrily confronted her cousin.

They were in her car driving back home.

"That's my scheme. I'm helping you." Mei answered.

"You're complicating things Mei!" Erika exclaimed.

She's really frustrated. She did not see it coming.

"I think she likes you too Erika so I'm giving her a push to confess to you."

"No, you're making her hate me!" Erika glared at her cousin.

"Sooner or later she's going to know we are cousins, so what am I supposed to do then?" She reasoned.

"Ugh, then you just have to explain angrily back at her, shout at her then kiss her. Just like that."

"Wow, you watched too much drama and read too much novel!"

"This isn't the case. This is reality Mei!"

"Then just confess already!" Mei shouted back angrily.

Erika gripped the steering wheel. "I can't."

Mei exhaled, "Then just trust me on this."

Erika did not argue anymore and Mei relaxed herself on her seat and turned her head to look outside the window.

'I think Andy is not the type to hold grudges anyway.'
