Chapter 59

Erika laid down the beers in the table by the balcony and sat. Andy followed carrying the cake.

They sat in silence while looking up the moon above along with the sparkling stars. What a mood.

By then, Andy's hands begun to shake involuntarily. Erika noticed it as she opened a can of beer and as she laid her back on her seat , she was fidgeting; Erika noticed it too.

"You okay?" Erika worriedly asked.

"Yeah,"

As Erika wouldn't take her eyes off her, demanding a proper answer, she turned her chair facing the girl and just hid her face behind her palms.

"What?" Erika curiously asked.

Andy sprung from her seat, went inside and came back carrying a guitar.

"Yeah, I would love to hear some music." Erika uttered as she gulped her beer.

But she was taken aback as Andy sat back with the guitar, facing her and looking dead serious.

She could even tell that the girl was breathing faster than usual.

"Erika." Andy uttered and it set the surroundings to become really quiet.

"You heard me sing a couple of times."

"You see, I've got things I want to say to you but when I do, I suddenly lost for words."

"So I'm using songs to say those things instead."

By then Erika's heart begun to pump like crazy as though thumping out of her chest.

She knew where Andy is going.

"All the songs I sung with you around were all for you."

"And I'm hoping that they somehow had reached you."

Erika's tears begun to form and her chest tightened but she held her ground. She knew Andy had more to say, and she wanted to hear them all.

Andy smiled and begun to pluck the strings.

"So please listen to this song because the lyrics speak the words I fail to say."

A drop of tear fell on Erika's face as Andy plucked the intro. She knew the song and she's tearing in joy.

By then Erika's tears begun to fall, really flowing that she's wiping them with her palms.

Andy just smiled as she continue to sing and play the song. She knew those tears were of joy.

[We were sitting in a parked car

Stealing kisses in the front yard

We got questions we should not ask but...]

By then, Andy looked directly at Erika without wavering. Like telling the girl the importance of the next stanza with her eyes showing the sincerity of her intension.

It's just something that I want to do

She again curved a smile which made Erika to sniffed more.

Erika chuckled while she clutched her chest.

[We were sat upon our best friend's roof

Watching the sunrise replace the moon]

Right there, Andy took a quick glance at the moon above them which made Erika to half laughed at it then sobbed.

Her throat hurts from the suppressed cry for awhile by then.

Also, her stomach begun to hurt too with all those butterflies. Well, it might even be the whole zoo.
