《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1202. Walking By The River I

Ting Ting Ting…
Thousands of needles started to clash against the Rose petals cover surrounding me, creating sharp sound as they clashed and dissolve around the petals.
Yes, these needles are nastier than I had thought. If they cannot pierce through the shield's defense, they will dissolve on it and attack it with their full power, like they are attacking now.
But these petals are not as simple as before; they still can self-refining the energy that came at the, but if the energy too much, they can now send to me for refining and storage.
The needles came at me in thousands, but the petals quickly dealt with all of them. Amethyst Ape had also tried to sneak an attack or two. It also failed, not to forget its attack was weak.
The needle attack was extremely powerful. It launched thousands of them; even if it is a powerful Peak Prince Stage monster, launching such army killing attack will make weak for at least a few minutes before it gathered enough energy to reach its peak.
"Let's end it," I said to it, seeing it will take him few minutes to recover, and even if it recovers, it will not have much to show me; it had already used its powerful army killing move on me.
"Growl!"
It seemed to understand what I mean and growled in anger before taking a jump back. Simultaneously, it seemed to have activated its defensive ability as a layer of amethyst energy covered its body.
Seeing that, I shook my head, and the next moment, the vine erupted from the ground and bound it before it could do anything.
The monster struggled, but the thin vine held on as multiple thorns erupted from it and pierced through its body, completely disregarding the defense of Amethyst energy and Amethyst armor covering its body.

As the thorns pierced through its body, the single vine started growing explosively by using the vitality of Ape monster that, within three seconds, the vine had wholly covered the nearly three meters long monster.
A second later, I killed the Amethyst Ape and stored its body inside my storage. "A good fight," I said. The battle with the Ape was quite satisfying; it was a very strong monster.
After finishing the fight, I continued my journey toward the center of Subterrain. By the evening or six am since it is always night here, Ive came across another two peak Prince Stage monsters who also gave me a satisfying fight.
When the clock ticks at 6 AM, I asked Ashlyn to find us a good hiding spot to set up an abode.
I am not feeling much tired, but I still decided to abide by my regular time table, not to forget I am impatient to enter the Tome; I need few more hours with the Tome, and I will be able to master the 6th recipe that I had been trying for past two days.
An hour later, Ashlyn had found the well-hidden spot, and we have set up the abode. After freshening up, I had cooked two of the dishes Ive learned in the Tome and ate with Ashlyn till our stomach full.
I took the first shift while Ashlyn slept; I first spread the sensors around the abode heavily before seeping my consciousness into the Tome.
As such, time passed, and by the time Ashlyn's shift starts, Ive mastered the 6th recipe and even tried the 7th recipe, which seemed very hard that I would need at least two to three days to master it.
Ashlyn took over, and I slept, and unlike my shift, her shift had some hiccups. Two monsters were idiot enough to come sniffing at out abode, and Ashlyn finished them off before they could create any trouble.

I woke up in the late morning; after freshening up and eating the leftovers of the last night, we continued with our journey toward the center of the Subterranine. I hope we found a way out of exit there; even though this space has pretty powerful monsters, I don't want to spend all my time Ruin here.
After half an hour of starting the journey, Ive come across the Peak Prince Stage monster, which I had killed after fifteen minutes of a good fight. An hour after that, I came across another Peak Prince, which was especially powerful, and I needed twenty minutes to kill.
The deeper walk into the center of subterranean, near the source of Cosmic Energy, the more Peak Princes I come across, not only the monster, but I also found many rare precious materials.
That now, I am spending more time picking them than fighting the monsters. Its a good thing Ive speed in my favor and quick hands; I could even pick the most delicate flower within seconds.
There would have been a lot more monsters I am facing but Ashlyn also fighting them; the ones I fight are her leftovers.
Chew Chew!
Suddenly Ashlyn Chirped and called me to her, saying she had likely found out way out; just as I heard that, an excited yelp came out of my mouth, and I sped toward her.
On the way, I even came across Peak Prince Stage monster, which I had killed in a record one minute. I had directly let loose my vines on it before piercing my sword into its skull before it even gets a chance to resist the vines.
Forty minutes later, I reached Ashlyn and saw what she had called me to see. "River," I said out loud with a smile; we have finally found something that could take us to exit.
There is River in the radiant grove, and I know it from its info that that small River goes underground. This River is likely the same small River, and if I walk the opposite of its flow, I may get out of the subterranean, and my instinct is telling me that this is the right way.

NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY: The Adventures of The Creeping Bam (BOOK ONE: The Job)
TAO is a broken world held together with nothing but magic and the will of the gods who protect it and its people. Then thousand years ago THE SUNDERING struck and Tao was almost torn apart by a terrible magical cataclysm which resulted in the planet almost being halted in its journey through the cosmos. It took all the power the gods of Tao could muster to restore its orbit and set it turning again, but in their efforts it was forever changed – its axis was drastically altered, and it now spins in such a way that one face of the world is forever turned from the sun it orbits, leaving half the planet in perpetual darkness. The various humanoid races that survived and now thrive within the habitable parts of THE DAY LANDS have come to live in perpetual fear of what lives beyond THE BORDERLANDS that separate them from whatever dwells within THE NIGHT LANDS, but for ten millennia it has kept its secrets. The land of RUNDAO languishes under the rule of their warlike Northern neighbours, the TEKTEHRAN EMPIRE, while a small, ragtag band of motley adventurers ply their mercenary trade fighting monsters and protecting the common man from the various dangers that haunt the night and prowl the hinterlands on the edges of civilization. THE CREEPING BAM have amassed a modest reputation in their years together, but they’re still just a small-time party of sellswords, thieves, outcasts and mages. They’re also exactly the kind of underdogs the people of Tao doesn’t yet realise are needed to save the world from the encroaching darkness they doesn’t even know is coming … This is a love letter and homage to the high-fantasy worlds of the tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and Warhammer and the sword & sorcery cinema and literature I fell in love with as a kid growing up in the 80s, from Robert E. Howard’s Conan the Barbarian (and the awesome Schwarzenegger movie, STILL my favourite fantasy film EVER), The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit and Ron Howard and George Lucas’ Willow, to the more grown-up and edgy worlds of grimdark masters George RR Martin and (my all-time favourite) Joe Abercrombie, as well as a BIG DOLLOP of Terry Pratchett’s immortal Discworld series. IMPORTANT: This story contains material which some readers may consider to be mature, such as battle violence, some strong language and occasional mild sexual scenes. If this is not your kind of thing, this story is not for you. I am also serializing this story on Tumblr, Wattpad, Quotev and Sweek.
