《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1350: Returning II

"I will miss you so much, babe." Mira had said it a hundredth of the time, but this will be the last time the airship had reached the Academy, and it is time for me to leave.
"I'll miss you too," I said as I gave her one last hug and kiss on the lips before flew out of the airship. She looked at me through it for minutes before the door of the airship closed, and it shot out like a rocket and disappeared in front of my eyes in a second.
I had asked her to come inside the Academy, but she had declined. I wanted to spend one more day with her, but unfortunately, we have reached the Academy.
Thud!
I landed in front of Academy Gate and walked inside it, and was let in without any problem, though I still have to show the proof of my identity.
"I am back."
I said as I entered through the gates and saw the life-like statues. I still remember the day when I saw them for the first time; I have got quite enthralled by them and still do; the artist who made them was amazing, she had breath the life in those statues.
I bowed slightly toward the statues before walking toward the teacher's office, flying would faster, but I like to walk and see the changes that had happened to the Academy.
There was no much change; the Academy looked just as before, having the wonderful combination of old and new architecture and people that are coming and going out of them.
Knock Knock!
Half an hour later, I reached the teacher's office and knocked on the door. "Come in." The teacher said from inside me, hearing that I opened the door and went in.

There I found a teacher sitting alone in the usual chair, in front of her four screens are floating, each having a different thing on them.
"Teacher," I said respectfully as I took a seat in front of her. She looked at me without saying anything; I know she is using her soul sense on me, but I could not detect it like always.
Her control is so fine that even some tyrants could not tell when she uses her soul sense. It is a thing Ive heard from a few guests that had come to the teacher's birthday party.
"There is something different about you, I could not tell what it is, but I am glad you have it; you will all the strength you have to survive the 'I' Ruin." She said as her gaze turned normal.
"Teacher, why is the 'I' Ruin is so dangerous when it is barren? It is because of the weird Cosmic Energy there?" I asked the teacher.
The 'I 'Ruin's information is strictly guarded since it is a resource site, but some tidbits still got, like it is barren and having strange cosmic energy there.
The teacher looked at me for a few seconds, and I thought she would not tell me about it when she opened her mouth. "Do you know why we named that ruin, 'I' Ruin?" The teacher asked, to that I shook my head; I have no about its name.
"The 'I' stands for 'Immortal.' That was whats its original name." Teacher said. Hearing that, I couldn't help but feel shocked as 'Immortal.' Is not a word that could be easily used; this word helps a great weight; one did not use it without having a proper reason behind it.
"We called it Immortal Ruin because anyone that dies in it became immortal; they will be there forever, like the Ghouls, never dying, no matter how many times you killed them." Teacher said.

Her words have shocked me again, and this time at even more intensity, as her words' implication is very deeper.
If anyone who dies in it became immortal, then how many of those Ghoullike beings would be there. This Ruin is in the hands of the Academy for nearly three and a half thousand years and opened twice a year.
So, how many people have died there, and how many have become a Ghoul? The whole Ruin will be filled with those.
"Hehe," teacher seemed to have understood what I am thinking and pearly laugher released from her
"The Ghoul like beings are very dangerous, but you don't have to worry about then that much."
"Their number and strength depend on the special type of Cosmic Energy present in the Ruin which increases decrease like a tide; we will be sending your there when that special cosmic energy in Ruin is at its lowest." Teacher explained.
Hearing that, I couldn't help but take a sigh of relief. Like every sane person, I fear ghosts or being similar to a ghost, and I don't want them ganging up on me when I reach their realm.
Ting!
"I will send you the file about the realm; read it in the privacy of your room." The teacher said as she sent me the confidential file.
I talked with the teacher an hour more with her enquiring about my days in the Miasmic Paradice in detail like she usually does when I came back from the new place.
A few minutes later, I flew to the lakehouse; it is just as I left it to be; it feels good to be back.
With my current power and being a headmistress student, I could get a better place. Hell, I could get a whole lake to myself with the only lakehouse in it, there are several those places in the Academy, but I did not.
There is no need to change it, I like it here, and I have good neighbors with whom I could talk to if I ever felt bored.
After freshening up, I lay on the couch comfortably before opening the confidential file that the teacher had sent me. I like to finish with it as soon as possible; the more I get to analyze all the information, the better my chances of surviving will be.

Meek
After failing as an apprentice cooper and a town guard, Eli finds his place at the Rockbridge archives. Sure, he's the oldest 'junior scribe,' but he likes the job. And he's good at it, too. Then he completes an apparently-insignificant project, and the brutal reaction shocks him--with consequences that eventually shake the world. Eli gains powers. Rare and inhuman abilities. He progresses slowly, steadily, and not without setbacks. He changes, too. Is he a hero, a villain, a human, a monster? Depends who you ask. Meek is an epic fantasy with elements of progression. The basic magic is simple: five Paths, each with a different powerset. However, complexity arises from combinations, and the protagonist wields a magic all his own. Meek is set in the Valley, the only (as far as anyone knows) human empire that survived a Final Battle against a terrible foe. The Valley is warded against infiltration, but the enemy learned how to warp human souls, to foment discord within. However, another soul is also ... changed. Perhaps even 'warped.' And that soul is starting on a long (long, long) path that might, one day, prove that the Final Battle wasn't so final after all.

New God
Who said being a God was easy. If you started omniscient; omnipotent and omnipresent then it might be. However, without those powers it would be a different story entirely. This is that story. Adam is thrown into a new world with no choice and no instructions. At least he is a God, whatever that means... Lovely Royal Road readers: Imagine a tutorial with no instructions and no idea what the game was meant to be and what you are trying to achieve. All you know is that you are a God (whatever that means). So this is quite slow to start; mainly world building for me; a bit of base building by the MC and some good old minion development. I'm developing/practicing my writing and love the format of RR to get it out of my head. So hopefully it gets better with time as I get better. All feedback welcome - but please critique and tell me why you don't like it (if you don't) I'd rather a 1-star review than a 2-star(plus) rating!
