《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1381: Silver Pearl

Clang Khutch Khutch…
More and more injured begin to appear on its body, except for its head, neck, and heard; everything is getting injured, which does not affect it much; not to forget everything is healing at a crazy rate.
Khutch Khutch!
"Fuck!"
Suddenly my vines moved from its fatal spots and targeted its arms. Seeing that, 'O' couldn't help but formed on its lips and its cursed as it saw its impending doom.
Pachac!
At that exact moment, my third vines decapitated it as its Trident has become a little slow to defend.
Despite its huge experience, it had neglected to defend its hands, which were holding its weapon properly. I injured the hands with my two vines before targeting the neck, which I was not able to defend due to slight laxness in its hands.
As its neck decapitated, it turned into smoke like the rest of the Ghouls; the only difference is that the smoke it had turned into is Ghostly silver rather than the usual grey-black.
I caught its core and looked at it, which looked like the usual necrotic core except for a few faint silvery lines.
Hun!
I was looking at it when I suddenly got a feeling from inside me; it is from Nero who wanted to eat it. It is the first time Nero reacted in months; ever since I had entered this ruin, Nero had been silent in his cacoon.
If it had been other times, I would have given it, but not now; I will use this necrotic core as soon as I reached home before coming back to fight more Silver Ghouls. The cores I will get from those Ghouls, I will feed them to Nero.
Chew Chew!
I had just thought that when suddenly Ashlyn chirped and came below. I landed on her gently, and we streaked across the ruin with the speed that any Silver Ghoul incapable of following.

Ashlyn and I had been daily practicing this move for the past month. After reading the diary, I know I needed a running move to incase I had come across the Ghoul, which I could not defeat.
Even the two excellencies had to run away from Ghouls when they were run, so there was nothing shameful about planning my running strategy.
This time was not practice run like before, six silver Ghouls were coming toward me, and I had to run like hell from them as with less than 5% energy remaining in my Tower's storage, I am no condition to fight them.
So, I ran away as I practiced for a month, and honestly, instead of feeling shame, I am feeling quite proud of myself for running away from those Silver Ghouls successfully.
"I assume you don't have any cores from the Silver Ghouls you killed, do you?" I asked Ashlyn.
Chew Chew!
She said no, seeing that I couldn't help but sigh.
Ashlyn had fought the Ghouls as she usually does and consumed their cores right after. Unlike me, who could only eat the 'Green Source' that contain in the Necrotic Core, Ashlyn could eat the whole core without any problem.
When I saw her doing that for the first time, I had quite a scare as eating whole is like eating the table that had the full capability of turning you into Ghoul, and there is no surviving from it through any method.
Ashly had eaten the whole core and even burped after eating it. After eating hundreds, even thousands of core, there is no sign of her turning into the Ghoul. I would have really hated it if Ashlyn had turned it into some weird Ghoul bird.
Thud!
Soon we reached one of the hidden spots that Ive had marked on the map and take out my abode and went inside.

After coming inside, I removed all my Artifacts and clothes except for my underwear and sat in the center of the living room, and took out the Necrotic Core of the Silver Ghoul.
Krrr!
I looked at Ghoul for a second before placing it into the device, which smoothly cut the core into two and revealed a faint silver peal. Yes, 'the Green Source' of the Silver Ghoul is solid.
I took out the silver pearl and put it into my mouth without waiting; as I did, I felt a slight cooling sensation on my tongue, and other than nothing happened for a second before the whole pearl suddenly melted.
The melted liquid turned into energy. This energy is entirely different from the energy that was converted from the 'Green Source' before; it is thick, thick like coffee, which is filled with tiny sharp nails that will try to burrow deeper and deeper into you.
EHHHH…
The first time since I had suffered from the Ghoul, I wanted to open my mouth and scream as loudly as I can. The pain is blinding; I wanted to do nothing more than scream right now.
Still, I diverted my mind using all my willpower and focused on the energy that was flowing inside me. Ive already wasted a few precious seconds; I don't want to waste any more of that time.
I focused on the thick energy flowing inside me and began to divert a small part of it toward the veins of Supreme Combat Exercise.
I did not try for much; I only tried for 5%, which was even hard to control than I had imagined. I had thought of being thick and slower than it usually is, I would be easily able to control the energy and even planned to increase its amount, but I was so wrong.
It may be thick and slow, but it holds more power than a flood; I had to use every bit of my will power and them some more before I was able to move it toward my veins.
It is extremely hard and made me remember the first time I had tried diverting it to create the seals of Supreme Combat Exercise

Stranger than Fiction (Draft Edition)
Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Dragon Knight Prophecy
A hero, a dragon, and a love that breaks all bounds. A fantasy story of a man trying to save his homeland from a terrible war by completing a prophecy nobody fully understands. To complete his mission he needs a dragon but the road to the dragon’s lair goes horribly wrong, and when he finally faces the beast he stands alone. A deeply emotional story that deals with pain, regret, betrayal, and failure. Despite it all somehow our heroes discover they need each other and slowly come together. With the help of some dedicated friends they realize their love is special, and go on to forge a new world befitting their unusual union. If you like dragons, romance, a little magic and a lot of war this might be for you. This story eventually evolves into a very loving harem, where the women rely on and love one another just as much as they love our hero. Please note: I am an amateur writer who started this story as a form of therapy while my wife was teetering on the brink of death. Thankfully she survived but by that point I was so committed to telling this story I couldn’t stop. I learned a great deal about writing over time but I am afraid my early chapters were very rough. I have since gone back and begun to edit them, applying the lessons learned and cleaning them up. I hope you will still enjoy the story, as I love sharing it and I can’t imagine a better use of my time. Sexual content.. In seven books I have written two sex scenes, but one of them will be highly edited once I reach them with my rewrite. Overall I imply our characters are sharing their love but don't go into any great detail as to how. So if sexual content bothers you, it is only lightly touched on twice. Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.
