《Monster Integration 》Chapter 1946: Cleansing Drops II

Drip Drip Drip
Thirty-one hours had passed since I had been collecting these strange drops; when I had started collecting it, I had only planned to do it for the one hour at most.
I am on a very tight time limit; there is a freaking war going outside, and I could not waste too much time on the runes, but now, I had spent more than thirty hours doing a thing which I had planned to do for a single hour.
As for why I had spent more than thirty times more time on this thing, the answer is obvious, I am getting the benefits.
These drops are being consumed by my bloodline, and my bloodline is leaving me crumbs of benefits; it is very hard to see these benefits for few minutes, but when half an hour passed, these benefits became apparent, and due to these benefits, I have been here for more than thirty hours.
As for what these benefits are, they are different than I had imagined them to be. I had first thought this strange drop was strengthening treasure, but I was wrong. It is a cleansing type resource, not a normal cleansing but extremly deep cleaning, which makes this thing even more precious than a powerful strengthening type resource.
Due to this cleansing, my strength has increased further; technically, I am still at my absolute limit, and it had not expanded even a little, but my strength had increased.
The energies of these strange drops had cleaned the gutter that is very deep inside me, including some tiny black tar curse that had been somehow able to leak outside in an extremly small amount. It had cleaned and other things cluttering my body and soul from deep inside, making my body and soul freer.
And that is not even the greatest benefit; the most significant benefit is my bloodline's power increasing. My pseudo-bloodline has become even more powerful than before, which is a huge deal seeing how many times my bloodline had helped me.

Drip!
Another drip fell into the funnel, and a familiar sensation came over me; it was still as strange and painful as before, but I got used to it after bearing it for more than thirty seconds.
Fifteen seconds later, its effect wore off, and I finally took back my vine and closed the fully filled bottle, and stored it inside my storage. My bloodline had stopped consuming it one and a half hour ago, but I continued because I wanted to completely fill the last bottle.
I had collected a total of ten bottles worth of these strange cleansing drops, and I am sure they will be a blast, especially to those who had been stuck at the limit like elites and leaders class; they will love this stuff as it could cleanse their bodies and soul, which gives them higher chance to break into the upper level.
I have come to this hall in search of the divine crystals; while I did not find those, I have found lots of things, especially these strange cleansing drops.
I am a little disappointed about not finding the divine crystal, but it was a huge possibility. If finding the divine crystals had been so easy, many supreme wouldn't have gone to the search for every place they have found the hint of it.
If I had time, I would have continued collecting these drops, but I could not waste too much time on them. I had already spent enough time collecting it; it was time to leave.
I gave the one last look to the three clashing formations before I started to make my way back to the exit. It had taken me nearly ten hours to reach the end of the hall but only half an hour to reach back to the door; I would have been faster; if I had not been too cautious on my way back.

Chew Chew Chew
I was just about to open the door and walked out of the hall when she suddenly chirped, and her words shocked me. "What! You want to go to the center of the clashing point of three formations and bring the thing you need from inside it?" I asked as if I could not believe what she said.
I had felt strange a little earlier when she had not tried for the strange drop, Ashlyn loved that kind of treasure, and she still is; she is just vying for the bigger price.
"Absolutely not! You will die before you even reach the central clashing point," I said firmly, rejecting her request. Any one of those formations could kill her within a fraction of a second; letting her go there is akin to letting her commit suicide.
"Chew Chew Chew…"
She chirped back, saying she had complete confidence in taking that thing out without getting the slightest harm. She seemed very adamant about it, and if I tried to reject her, she might go for despite that.
She is behaving like a rebellious teenager; she will do it whether she gets it my consent or not. Its all made my head hurt.
"Do whatever you want, but if you got hurt in the slightest, you could forget about asking my permission. I will set you free then won't have to ask for my permission anything you do next," I said angrily.
"Chew Chew Chew…"
She chirped back at me and flew toward the end of the hall, and it took her a minute to reach there; as she did, I opened the door as she asked me. Before leaving, she said, as I should keep the door open as things might get dangerous.
She stopped near the clash of formations, and red crystal on the temple shone, and silver runes began to come out of it.
Seeing the silver runes, I couldn't help but get shocked; these runes were not normal runes but ancient runes; the same type of runes that came out of me when I had to harvest the bloodline and these silvery runes have covered her whole body, leaving nothing uncovered.
With the runes covering her body, she looked like some ancient bird; if not for being a little chubby and thumb size, I would have really felt some reverence towards her.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.
