Minutes earlier...

As Adam was walking along the street of Batangas City, he noticed the few numbers of stalls in the area as it was already 3:30 am.

There were also fewer customers compared to its crowded and populated place during the daytime.

He occasionally encountered Chosen and common people going in and out of the restaurants or their respective apartments.

Minutes later, he finally reached the area with a tall building on it, and of course, it was no other than, Chosen Association Building.

The front of the building was also devoid of human life unlike when he first came here, where various Chosen can be seen shouting and recruiting party members.

Later on, he then stepped on the circular platform, or teleportation device, which was then followed by the device's announcement...

[ Assessing the Chosen's level... ]

[ Level 171 found... ]

[ You will now be transported to the first floor ]

As the announcement ends, Adam felt dizzy as his body was transported to the first floor.

Soon, as he opened his eyes, a scene on the first floor welcomed him.

'It looks barren!'

Before, Adam usually went here during the daytime, thus he was not used to seeing the room being devoid of human presence.

There are only 10 quests boards on the area, that are aligned on each side of the room.

And as usual, Adam planned on taking a quest on the nearby quest board.

As he was walking, a light on the corner of the room caught his attention...

The light was so bright that it illuminates almost the entirety of the room.

It was also golden in color thus enticing Adam's curiosity.

"Light? Is someone here?", he thought

Soon, as he heard no footsteps nor voice from the area where the light was coming from, he walked towards the area, curious as to what could it be.

Silence ensues as Adam walks quietly towards the light.

Shortly, Adam was led on the corner of the room, particularly on the quest board, where there are no people at all.

And as for the source of the light? It was an item or rather a quest scroll that's situated on the quest board.

"A quest scroll?! Why is it releasing a golden light?", he thought

There's only one quest scroll placed on that quest board, unlike other quest boards where multiple quest scrolls were situated on it.

The quest scroll also looked the same as other quest scrolls, with the sole difference of it releasing a golden light, illuminating the darkroom.

The quest board was also placed on the corner of the room, where Chosen tend to gather and get crowded during the daytime.

Curious, Adam reached out his hand as he was captivated by the light it releases, it also feels like he was bewitched by the golden light, fueling up his desire to know what the quest contains.

Soon, he touched the quest scroll, enticing a system's announcement...

'Ding!'

'Ding!'

[Chosen's rating has been acknowledged]

'Ding!'

[Do you want to accept the ??? Grade Quest]

[Yes/No]

'??? Grade Quest?!'

Adam was bewildered by the continuous announcement from the system, as unlike obtaining a normal quest, there's a lot more announcement this time, where even his level and rating were assessed.

But what baffled him the most was the grade of the quest, and upon giving it some thought, he could only come up with only one assumption...

"This quest, it couldn't be an S-grade quest right?!", he thought while furrowing

He could only think of that as E-A-grade quests normally have their rating stated, besides, the quest scroll illuminates golden lights that are unusual.

Soon, since he couldn't speculate further, he then tried looking for the quest details, hoping to seek hints, but alas, his face got solemn upon hearing the system's announcement.

'Ding!'

[The Chosen couldn't view the quest details unless accepted]

'Hmm, I couldn't view it ha', he thought

Soon, after pondering, he then decided to accept the quest as he couldn't think of anymore presumption...

"It's just a quest anyway and surely won't hurt to accept right?", he thought

Without further ado, he quickly uttered a word with excitement...

"Yes!"

'Ding!'

[The Chosen has accepted the ??? Grade quest]

[The quest details can now be viewed by the Chosen]

[The Chosen can accept another(1) quest that's of lower grade than the quest given]

'Ding!'

[Congratulations for being the first Chosen to accept an ??? Grade quest]

[As a reward, 500 remaining stat points will be given]

'Ding!'

[500 remaining stat points obtained]

"It must be an S-grade quest, right?", he thought

Since the system announced that he was the first to accept such a quest, Adam could only come up with such a conclusion.

He didn't even have the time to rejoice on the 500 stat points given as he was so eager to soothe his thirst on validating the quest's grade, thus right after the announcement, with no mulling over, he immediately checked the quest's details...

Continous sounds of gulping can be heard throughout the room as Adam gulped each time...

Sweats continuously dripped from his body as well, as he was nervous and heated at the same time to know the quest's details, specifically its grade.

Finally, words were then uttered by Adam...

"Quest check!..."

Just right after he let out the words and see the quest's details, a light hastily gushed out of the quest board that's before him.

It was the same quest board that the mysterious quest scroll was at.

The light was so blinding as it was so bright.

It was marble size at first, but within a second, the light reached enormous size and enveloped the entirety of the room, then second after, the light gushed out of the room and eventually, shrouded the entirety of Batangas City...

Residence of the City awake or not, were all bewildered by the sudden occurence.

Amidst that, two words were Adam could let out...

"An S-Grade!"
