《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 135: Fighting The Giant

Zhao Luo's sword kept on falling on the challenging disciple's sword, like rain drops.
The space around the stage itself was enveloped by the sounds of Zhao Luo ramming his sword, Ifrit on the broad sword.
The disciple who was fighting Zhao Luo was stunned as the only thing he could do now was to keep holding his broad sword and pray that Zhao Luo would tire himself out and stop these continuous barrages of sword attacks.
'What's going on?'
The disciple thought as with each strike of Zhao Luo, this disciple was pushed back by an inch or two.
It didn't make any difference even when he used all of his lower body's strength to keep his ground.
'Clang~'
'Clang~'
'Clang~'
Strike after strike, Zhao Luo never stopped for even a second.
In less than five minutes, more than five hundred strikes had already landed on the challenging disciple's sword.
That was a sword strike and another one which was already halfway in, every second.
The second challenger was already on the edge of the stage and his widened eyes looked at the Zhao Luo.
"Now you Go."
Zhao Luo said as he brought down his sword.
"CLANG"
THUD!
The disciple was pushed outside the stage with his broad sword falling on him.
"Next."
Zhao Luo looked at Mo Suo and said from under his teeth.
"Bastard."
Bang!
Mo Suo cursed and lifted his leg just to hit the ground.
The disciples who were around him shivered as the anger of Mo Suo was something that they feared even more than losing to Zhao Luo.
Mo Suo looked at his followers and finally, his eyes stopped on one of them.
Mo Suo pointed at him.
"You...Go."
He then sent this disciple to fight Zhao Luo.
"Heh."
Zhao Luo shook his head as he welcomed this new challenger with open arms.
The third challenger jumped on the stage.
Zhao Luo looked at him and found him with a nervous expression on his face.
"Are you scared?"
Zhao Luo questioned him with a condescending look.
This was one of the disciples who had just boasted about beating Zhao Luo to such an extent that even his parents wouldn't recognize him.
'He didn't know that my parents are long gone.'
Zhao Luo wondered as this thought made him angrier than usual.
'Gulp.'
Looking at the rage on Zhao Luo's face, the third disciple found it hard to swallow his saliva.

He bowed his head and clasped his hand in front of Zhao Luo.
"Let's have a fair fight, Senior."
The third disciple who himself was a level eight 'VIII' outer disciple called Zhao Luo a senior.
'Showing respect to me after seeing my strength.'
Zhao Luo understood what was happening.
"If I was weaker than you, would you have addressed me while showing me such respect, even then?"
Zhao Luo questioned him.
The disciple lifted his head and looked at Zhao Luo's questioning stare.
"I-i...."
The third disciple couldn't say anything further and closed his mouth while moving his eyes downwards.
If he had said yes, then it would have meant that he was lying, cause he didn't believe in showing respect to someone who was weaker then him.
"As I thought."
Zhao Luo told him and stored his Ifrit.
'He is going to go easy on me?'
The third disciple thought as chances of winning sprouted in his mind when he realized that Zhao Luo had stored his weapon.
Contrary to his optimistic thoughts, that was when his chances had completely vanished.
"Half Walk."
A voice more silent than silence itself was heard by this disciple.
Zhao Luo had disappeared from his spot and the next moment he appeared, the third challenger was already pushed outside the stage causing him to fall on the ground.
Zhao Luo gave a challenging look to Mo Suo who was clenching his jaws as he looked at his third follower losing in an instant.
One after another, the disciples following him would go up and the next instant they would be thrown out.
---- ---- ---- ----
In less than fifteen minutes, Zhao Luo had defeated all the disciples that Mo Suo had sent on stage to face him.
That is, only two disciples were left.
One was the big guy who was standing silently behind Mo Suo.
The other one was Mo Suo himself.
"Go, Big Bean."
Mo Suo said to the big disciple.
'So the big guy's name is actually big bean.'
Zhao Luo realized that the disciple named big bean indeed looked like a bean shaped monster.
thud!
thud!
thud!
Each of his steps were enough to rock the whole stage.
"A giant."
"He is so big."
"That handsome brother....will he be alright?"
Such shouts started rising from amongst the spectators.
"This is going to be interesting."

Some disciples were excited for this match while others were worried for Zhao Luo.
On the stage.
Zhao Luo realized that the disciple he was facing was not only at the same level as him but also twice as bigger than him.
"This will be hard."
Zhao Luo murmured as he looked tense after realizing the size difference between him and Big Bean.
'Shwaa~'
Zhao Luo brought out both Ifrit and Blackey at the same time and pointed them at Big Bean.
"Yo bean head. Don't expect me to go easy on you."
Zhao Luo said as he waved his swords in a cross.
Big Bean laughed as he looked down at Zhao Luo.
"Arrogant pleb."
Big Bean brought out a big and thick ax from his storage ring and pointed it at Zhao Luo.
"Come at me Little one."
Big Bean challenged Zhao Luo while calling him little.
"This giant..."
Zhao Luo pushed his feet down with greater force than ever before.
All of his weight was distributed equally between his toes while Ifrit and Blackey were lapped over each other making an X shape.
"Half Walk: Cross Slash."
Zhao Luo who had just found a new name for his random technique disappeared from the place he was on.
'Slash.'
'Slash.'
At the same moment, Zhao Luo appeared right beside Big Bean with blood on his swords.
It took a whole second for Big Bean to realize that Zhao Luo was standing next to him.
And another second was to realize that his robe had been torn open by Zhao Luo's swords leaving an X shape sword slash that followed from his chest to his lower abdomen.
"Akh."
Big Bean vomited a mouthful of blood while moaning in pain but that wasn't enough to bring him down.
"AHHHH."
Big Bean screamed as he waved his ax at Zhao Luo trying to split him into two.
'Woah.'
Zhao Luo was stunned as he found it hard to dodge the swings of Big Bean.
"You are not only big. Your speed is also quite good contrary to your size."
Zhao Luo complimented Big Bean because he felt impressed by his speed.
But this mid-fight compliment wasn't something that Big Bean appreciated.
"SHUT"
"UP"
BANG!
Big Bean brought down his ax with all his strength, splitting the stage into two.
"Agh."
The shockwaves that had transmitted from Big Bean's ax to the stage were enough to make Zhao Luo lose his footing.
While Zhao Luo had lost his balance, Big Bean kicked him right in his stomach.
The foot which covered Zhao Luo's whole stomach landed squarely throwing Zhao Luo away.
"Agh."
Zhao Luo cried out as he could feel his stomach being crushed when Big Bean's kick had landed.
Zhao Luo who was crouching on his fours while being on the edge of the stage vomited two mouthfuls of blood.
"Zhao Luo."
That was when he could hear, Feng Ma and Si Chen crying out his name.
Zhao Luo looked at them and then moved his sight over to Rose.
"Why are you looking at me s sadly?"
Zhao Luo mumbled but just moving his lips was enough for Rose to understand what Zhao Luo was saying.
She shook her head expressing that she still believed in him no matter what he did.
That is, she didn't mind if Zhao Luo accepted his loss.
Zhao Luo could also understand why Rose was shaking her head.
'But I am not doing this for only you.'
Zhao Luo showed a bloody smile to Rose and got up to face the giant Big Bean.
Giving a glance at Feng Ma and Si Chen, Zhao Luo nodded as he focused back on his fight.
Big Bean who had never fallen even after having the bloody 'X' wound on his body, wasn't in any better situation than Zhao Luo.
But he couldn't give up either.
"Give up or I will have to kill you."
Big Bean warned Zhao Luo.
He knew how much power he had and how much force his single kick, which could obliterate trees and rocks could do to an outer disciple.
Yet Zhao Luo, who he had never seen before in the outer hall was able to keep standing after such a hit.
Seeing this and being the disciples of the same sect a sense of fellowship had awakened in Big Bean's heart thus the turnaround of him Zhao Luo a chance.
"Kill me if you can but I will never surrender."
Zhao Luo announced loudly.
He wasn't looking at Big Bean but instead, his eyes fell on the one who had orchestrated this whole situation.
"Haha, Good."
Big Bean couldn't help but laugh at Zhao Luo's stubbornness.
'GRRRR.'
He pulled out his ax which was stuck in the crack of the stage and pointed it at Zhao Luo.
"Come."
Big Bean told Zhao Luo who was already ready to attack anytime.
Zhao Luo stored Ifrit.
With both of his hands around Blackey, Zhao Luo tightened his grip on its hilt while looking at Big Bean.

Will he make it back home in time to prevent a brewing war? ------------------- This is a gritty drama-driven, rambling tale that presents mysteries early on that the characters work to unravel throughout the story. It swings between action, drama, and sometimes some darker comedy. Warning: A whole lot of profanity, alcohol, drugs, implied violence, actual violence and mega-violence—the kind that involves knives sliding into eye sockets and brains spilling onto floors—the usual stuff, scenes of intimacy, mercenaries, pirates, lots of moral ambiguity, including a wizard that likes to make tea with the heat sucked from his victim's bodies and a heap of world-ending monsters ready to eat people. _______________ Expectations: Updates every Monday and Thursday. Chapters will be between 2,000 and 5,000 words. I'm Irish and write in "Irish English" which is to say that I don't use much of the letter "z"
