《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 185: 8 Palm Fighting Stance

At one side Zhao Luo stood whose attack had left something broken on the disciples as he handled him.
While on the other hand, Xiao Yu had taken down the same number of enemies but in a different manner.
The disciples defeated by Xiao Yu were looking at him with admiration.
They gathered up the ones who had fallen and while carrying them, they left the stage knowingly getting eliminated from the Open Battle.
'Drip, Drip.'
Blood dripped on the stage from Zhao Luo's fists but it wasn't his instead it belonged to the fifty disciples that were hardly breathing.
It wasn't because these disciples were suffering from asthma attacks but they were busy groaning in pain and spitting out blood because of their broken ribs and ruptured organs.
Zhao Luo had taken over the role of a janitor after beating the disciples black and blue.
'Thud!'
Zhao Luo kicked them out one by one as he cleared the stage.
"Anymore left?"
Zhao Luo said as he turned around to look for the disciples that he may have missed but none were left.
"He took down so many."
Zhao Luo said as he looked at Xiao Yu.
Xiao Yu, who was walking towards Zhao Luo, heard a voice and stopped in his tracks.
"Thank you."
Mo Anna slightly bowed her head as she thanked Xiao Yu for helping her.
It was something that Zhao Luo and she had to deal with but Xiao Yu still helped them.
"No need to thank me. You may be hating me soon once I kick him out."
Xiao Yu said with a deep and dark mood as if he was going to kill Zhao Luo.
Hering Xiao Yu speak like this forced some earlier images to pop up in Mo Anna's head.

She couldn't help but remember how softly Xiao Yu had dealt with the disciples who were attacking him.
"hahaha."
Mo Anna giggled at Xiao Yu's acting and Xiao Yu blushed after hearing her laugh as he had been caught off guard.
-
Zhao Luo who was a little far away from them looked displeased.
'Is he hitting on her?'
Zhao Luo thought with worry as he could see Mo Anna's eyes being curving as the melodious sound of her giggle traveled to his ear.
But he didn't know that they were talking about him.
Mo Anna stopped and looked at Zhao Luo who was staring at Xiao Yu intensely from afar.
"He won't lose to you nor anyone."
She said to Xiao Yu as he smiled at Mo Anna's declaration.
"Is this your confidence in him or your belief which has been blinded by love?"
Xiao Yu questioned her but didn't wait for her answer as he jumped towards Zhao Luo.
He knew the things going on the stage as his eyes had been on Zhao Luo since Zhao Luo's first fight with the disciple who had come to teach him a lesson in Mo Suo's stead.
So basically he knew that something was going on between Zhao Luo and Mo Anna.
He also knew how many disciples were in Zhao Luo's party that he considered as brothers.
'Nothing to do with me.'
Thud!
Xiao Yu thought as he landed in front of Zhao Luo.
Zhao Luo looked at Xiao Yu with a slightly angry face.
"You want me to fight you seriously right?"
Zhao Luo asked him as he also wanted to give his all so he could give Xiao Yu a beating.
"No, I WILL make you fight seriously."
Xiao Yu replied with a calm face.

He moved his hands upwards in such an odd fashion that his palm looked like they were sliding on the air.
"Come."
Xiao Yu said to Zhao Luo while pointing his palms towards him.
"Hmph."
Zhao Luo's muscles twitched as he didn't like how Xiao Yu was acting.
Zhao Luo didn't like arrogant people but he didn't know that to others, he also looked like a person who had extreme arrogance.
Otherwise, no matter how good-looking one was, he wouldn't have gone for the princess of Mo Family right after entering the outer hall.
Zhao Luo shook his head as he dropped all the irrelevant thoughts and focused on Xiao Yu.
Zhao Luo lowered his body and pulled his arms backward.
While pulling them back he bent his elbows inwards and clenched his fist while Xiao Yu who was opposite to Zhao Luo, looked calm and collected.
His hands hadn't moved not even by a subtle motion. If others looked at him, they would mistake him for a statue.
"We will see..."
'How long you can keep up your cool act.'
Zhao Luo mumbled as he raised his ankle and pushed his toes on backward.
Boom!
With a loud explosion, the tiles which were beneath Zhao Luo's feet flew in all directions as he had already vanished from his spot like a flickering light.
Zhao Luo appeared in front of Xiao Yu and threw a right fist at him.
"Explosive Fist."
Zhao Luo mumbled as his fist was closing in on Xiao Yu at a ridiculous speed.
The moment it was going to hit Xiao Yu, his left palm moved from its stationary position and intercepted Zhao Luo's fist.
"BANG!"
A single shrill sound escaped from the point of contact between Zhao Luo's knuckle and Xiao Yu's palm.
From the disciples on the stage to almost all the spectators on the Colosseum seats had to cover their ears.
'Whooosh.'
Zhao Luo had been pushed back instantly and he couldn't even fight back against the mysterious force behind Xiao Yu's palm.
'Cough.'
As Zhao Luo stopped he coughed uncontrollably as his organs had been rattled by the shockwave of the pressure from Xiao Yu's palm but it was not to an extreme level.
Zhao Luo looked up and Xiao Yu was bringing back his palms to their primary setting.
"How did you do that?"
Zhao Luo questioned Xiao Yu as his punch had been blocked before but not like this.
'He blocked my fist and deflected my own strength back to me.'
"How?"
Xiao Yu scoffed as he dropped his arms and slowly raised them up again.
Taking his stance again he looked at Zhao Luo.
"This is my 8 palm fighting stance."
Xiao Yu answered Zhao Luo's question while jerking his palms.

Toothpick
“Hello! My humble audience! I, the Bard of the North, am going to tell you a tale. Nothing new, nothing old. A story of a hero, some may say, others a poor boy who was hated by the world.” The storyteller paused as he waited, right timing was everything when telling a story. Pacing… Too slow and the audience became bored then left without tossing even the smallest of coins. If he spoke too fast and rushed the story. It would leave the audience confused and having no reason to be impressed. So like any good storyteller, the Bard has to do a balancing act of sorts. Not too slow, not too fast. Just perfectly in the middle. “In a shattered country in the south, a novice princeling has the ambition to mend a torn tapestry that is his birthplace. Struggling to fend off those who would usurp the throne in an unending civil war spanning centuries. A mercenary that left only death in his wake, unable to stave off the monotony and peace of life. He looks back at the path laden with bodies, wondering if it was all worth it. Wandering souls summoned by a madman, travel away from a wasteland in a foreign land, the first alone, the others as companions. A deity, ancient in her years, waiting to be freed from a duty she no longer enjoys. For all these people and their stories, none are the hero of this tale. No, the hero is not grand, not wise, not ready.. he was punished for nothing of his doing, who was an outcast that was unloved by many, including his father.” This was always the big reveal novices use to jump off into their story. He did not start here, instead, like any good fishermen, he set the bait and waited until the fish bit before pulling. As he saw the audience's eyes focus, he then started the backstory. The harness, that stopped the listeners from having metaphorical whiplash. The foreshadowing. “But that is not where the story starts. No, not even the hero's birth. Where the story begins, is the boredom of the deity, a deity many know of. She who hunts for the impossible, the guide for those who have lost the path, the Huntress of Mallon--” A small pause, a short breath. “--All old names for a single powerful being that has roamed the grounds of this continent longer than any line of kings or queens, lords or ladies. A being of worship for many an individual…” One last breath. And he began singing the first verse.
