The first battle had ended.

[ 28th disciple, Chu Ming, it's your turn ]

The Elder announced from the podium, letting everyone know who was coming to challenge. 

Chu Ming, a female disciple walked out of the group.

'Uff, who do I choose...'

She was dressed in a glittering purple robe and her looks weren't in any way inferior to any beautiful lady that Zhao Luo had seen while being a traveler.

But she looked nervous as hell after seeing Zu Pan losing that badly which caused her to lose all the confidence that she had gained after surviving the Open Battle.

While passing Zhao Luo, she unconsciously glanced at him with eyes that were asking for help but they were in no way directed at Zhao Luo.

'Hmm.'

Looking at her expression, Zhao Luo hurriedly moved his eyes at the disciples who were standing around Mite as Chu Ming walked away.

They were the last of the top hundred disciples.

For some reason, he wanted to help her, maybe it was because of the uncomfortable look in her eyes or the fact that she was a challenger like him, Zhao Luo had already decided that he would help her.

'If she can survive the Open Battle, she should be able to win against someone around there.'

Zhao Luo looked at one of the weaker-looking female disciples and then looked back at Chu Ming who was walking towards the stage.

"Hey!"

Chu Ming who was just one step away from jumping on the stage suddenly stopped in her tracks.

She looked towards Zhao Luo as he was also looking at her.

"Challenge that disciple. The 87th."

Zhao Luo instructed her with a confident face.

'What? Brother Zu Pan couldn't even win against that monster who was even lower than the one this guy is telling me to challenge.'

Chu Ming thought as some of her mind was against following Zhao Luo's instruction.

'But then again, no one from the Chu family is here so either I win or lose this, no one will react.'

She pondered over Zhao Luo's words further and decided to challenge the disciple who Zhao Luo had instructed her on.

Chu Ming hadn't even glanced at the 87th disciple till now.

"Hmmm."

Mo Anna made a sound as she released her grip on Zhao Luo's hand.

'Why is he helping her?'

Mo Anna thought while looking at Chu Ming who was blessed with curves that were luscious to the male disciple's eyes.

"Brother, are you acquainted with the Chu family or Chu Ming?"

Si Chen's voice reached Zhao Luo and he turned around towards his right to look at him.

'Why whisper?'

Zhao Luo wondered as Si Chen was speaking to him in a very low volume.

"Chu Family?"

Zhao Luo wasn't acquainted with anyone from the Chu Family.

He didn't even know a single thing about the Chu family and neither did he knew about who Chu Ming was, as for helping her, it was without a cause or a demand.

"Chu Family is one of the five martial families of the third city. You already know that I am from one of the martial families as well. You must know that only the Royal families are higher than the martial families in terms of status."

Si Chen explained about the Chu Family to Zhao Luo.

"Ah, so she is also from a martial family."

"Not only that but she is the family leader's daughter."

"What?"

Zhao Luo and Si Chem exchanged words with Si Chen being on the answering side, while, on the stage, Chu Ming was ready to challenge.

The elder looked at Chu Ming from high above his podium and asked her, "Who do you want to challenge?"

Chu Ming looked at the right side of the elder and from amongst the hundred disciples, her eyes landed on the disciple she was supposed to challenge.

'It's her.'

Chu Ming thought while looking at this disciple.

Then she pointed at that disciple, the one who held the 87th ranked of the top hundred disciples. 

"I will challenge Ai Na."

Chu Ming said loudly.

'Whooosh.'

The one who was challenged jumped out of the crowd and landed on the stage in front of Chu Ming.

Zhao Luo looked closely at Ai Na who had an equal level of beauty, like that of Chu Ming.

'What a beautiful day.'

He thought as both Chu Ming and Ai Na looked mature and desirable to the other disciples.

Zhao Luo looked at Mo Anna who was glaring at him as though she could read his thoughts.

"Umm..."

Zhao Luo mumbled but Mo Anna turned her face towards the stage.

[ The 28th disciple, Chu Ming has challenged the 87th disciple, Ai Na ]

The elder announced to let the crowd know of the challenger and the defender.

"I never would have thought you would choose me."

Ai Na who was wearing a slightly revealing robe said to Chu Ming who looked somewhat out of shape.

"Elder sister..."

Chu Ming said showing that she was close to Ai Na, but before she could complete what she was saying, the elder continued his announcement.

[ One is from the 3rd martial Family, the Ai Family, while the other is from the 4th martial family, Chu Family ]

[ Let the Battle Begin ]

The elder hyped the crowd so much that they had gotten up from their seats.

This created an awkward situation for Chu Ming who had no choice but to give it her all.

"Come little sister. Let's play like how we used to."

Ai Na said with a calm smile.

"She hasn't changed..."

Chu Ming mumbled as a smile blossomed on her face.

Outside of the stage, Zhao Luo felt weird as he had just picked out a good match for Chu Ming.

'But they turned out to be acquaintances and even more, they are friends. Sigh~'

Zhao Luo realized how he may just have played a big hand in creating differences between two friends.

Thinking about that, a smile suddenly crept up to his face.

Obviously, no matter how bad he felt, in the end, he was a man just like the male disciples around him and in the spectator's seat.

"Nothing's better than watching two hot girls fight!"

A creepy sound of a drunk man entered his ears as Feng Ma opened his mouth.
