《Becoming God of a Dystopian World 》Chapter 205: She is Mine

Right before the golden sword reached infinitely close to Mo Anna's head that is, the blade was already touching her hair, a voice entered everyone's ear.
"ENOUGH!"
Along with the voice, came a young man flying with his left leg aimed towards Mo Suo's face.
That heroic young man was none other than Zhao Luo, who found it hard to control himself when the woman he loved, was extremely close to dying.
"Bang!"
Zhao Luo's foot landed squarely on Mo Suo's face.
Mo Suo was sent flying outside the stage along with his golden sword.
The reaction was indeed as Zhao Luo had predicted.
'I used Half Walk to close the gap. His jaw should pretty much be done by now.'
Zhao Luo thought while looking at Mo Suo who had just fallen outside the stage.
Zhao Luo knew that this attack of his may be considered, a cheap shot, by others but he didn't care about that at all.
Zhao Luo lowered his gaze and found Mo Anna with closed eyes as a tear rolled down causing the veil on her face to get a dark line on it.
"Are you okay?"
Zhao Luo asked as he brought his hand in front of her.
'Clap.'
Mo Anna grabbed his hand and got up.
"Thank you."
She replied with a tragic voice.
'I lost. But I didn't know that he would even go as far as to throw me away.'
She knew what had transpired.
'If Zhao Luo hadn't saved me, I would have died. The elder never moved from his spot.'
Mo Anna thought while she looked at the elder who was looking at them with a grim look too.
Zhao Luo who was looking at Mo Anna earlier turned around and looked at the Elder.

"Why didn't you atop the fight?"
Zhao Luo questioned in a loud voice as his anger was overwhelming him.
While around the Colosseum someone else was also angry but his voice couldn't be heard.
Mo Rong was staring at Xin Wang while moving his mouth and his eyebrows were furrowed as though they had been connected together.
{ What is this? I thought we had a deal. }
Mo Rong stopped moving his mouth as he had relayed this to Xin Wang and waited for Xin Wang's answer.
{ And? }
Xin Wang only replied with a single word.
'Bang!'
{ You didn't stay true to your words. }
Mo Rong smacked his leg with his fist and squinted his eyes at Xin Wang.
{ Little Brother, look at the one who interfered. Is he an elder? Has age blinded your eyes or is it because of your weird mustache? }
Xin wang slowly answered back after which he stopped looking at Mo Rong.
'If I knew that Mo Rong wouldn't stop his son from killing his own daughter, then I would have never agreed to this.'
Xin Wang mumbled as regret filled his eyes while on the other side Mo Rong looked shocked.
He had indeed been firing at the wrong person since he, himself had said that no elder was to intervene but he had never imagined that a disciple would be so bold enough to interfere in the matters of the Mo Family.
Mo Rong shifted his eyes towards Zhao Luo who was standing in front of Mo Anna.
He tightened his fist as ideas of killing Zhao Luo started popping up in his head.
On the stage, Zhao Luo was still looking at the elder while waiting for an answer but since the elder's expressions were clearly shouting that he couldn't help it, Zhao Luo didn't continue pestering him.

Zhao Luo turned his gaze towards the spectator's seats.
His eyes met the glare of Mo Rong who was already looking at Zhao Luo and Mo Anna.
Zhao Luo didn't back down as this was the Xin Sect, not Mo Family's court.
"If you can't protect her..."
Zhao Luo shouted after he pointed his finger towards the area where the Royal Mo Family was sitting.
"Then I will."
Zhao Luo completed his sentence.
The crowd went into an uproar.
Not only had Zhao Luo interfered in a battle, which was overlooked since things could have gotten a little uglier but now, he was also saying that he will protect one of the three beauties of the sect himself.
"We are not dead yet."
"Yes, I shall protect Rose."
"No, I will."
The male disciples in the crowd started arguing as they deemed themselves fit for the position of protecting Rose.
The drama had shifted to something else as different spectators shared a different idea.
Some thought that things were getting interesting while the others waited for Mo Rong's reaction.
Mo Rong's face was red while his Family was becoming a joke as the people started discussing the Royal Mo Family with utter ridicule.
'Who is he to protect her? What background does he have, that he thinks he can go against my Family like this.'
"Why would you protect her?"
Mo Rong asked in a heavy yet loud voice while glaring at Zhao Luo.
Everyone in the Colosseum was silent as they waited for Zhao Luo's answer.
A pressure descended on Zhao Luo which caused his legs to become so heavy that he felt like he was drowning in a sea an elephant was tied to each of his legs.
'Tsk.'
Zhao Luo clicked his tongue.
'This old rip-off with that shitty mustache is trying to scare me?'
Zhao Luo couldn't help but laugh as he moved his hand.
'Grab.'
Zhao Luo grabbed Mo Anna's hand and looked straight at Mo Rong.
"I will protect her cause she is mine."
Zhao Luo replied to Mo Rong's questioned under everyone's stare and gazes that were beaming at him.
"What?"
Mo Rong acted as if he couldn't hear what Zhao Luo had said and questioned again.
"I said..."
Zhao Luo raised the hand with which he was holding Mo Anna's hand and opened his mouth again.
"SHE IS MINE."
Zhao Luo said in the loudest voice possible.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
