"And this is the last time, I will repeat my question."
Without giving them any time, Zhao Luo continued.
"Who sent you?"
The question landed on everyone's ears which was followed by the promised countdown.
"One."
Zhao Luo lowered his body and held the glass sword tightly by grabbing it with his other hand too.
"Two."
He pushed his toes while raising his ankle. He was more than ready to attack them.
"Ther-"
"It was Master Mo Suo."
All of the guards collectively said in a loud voice, with their eyes tightly closed and their jaws clenched as they shut their mouths after answering Zhao Luo's question.
The team leader turned around and glared at them.
"You foolish bastard."
'Phsshh~'
He shouted at them but just a moment later, a cold feeling enveloped him and an unbearable pain spread to all of his sides from the center of his body.
The team leader looked down and found an enchanting glass blade that was coming out of his stomach and as he slowly turned his head he found Zhao Luo standing behind him.
"You broke the rule."
Zhao Luo told the team leader who had a tragic look in his eyes as his life seeped out through his body.
"Phshh"
"Tap, Tap...."
Zhao Luo pulled back the blade of his glass sword in a swift manner while the drops of team leader's blood that were on the blade fell to the ground.
The other guards who had answered at the last moment were staring at the deep hole which was left behind in the team leader's stomach. Their mouths were open and their eyes trembled as right before them, their leader was falling.
"Thud, Thud."
The team leader dropped to his knees and took his last breath before his head struck the ground in the next second.
"You."
Zhao Luo pointed his sword at one of the guards and addressed him.
"The answer. Explain to me."
Zhao Luo said to the guard but before the guard could say anything, Zhao Luo continued.
"Take his body and go back to the bastard who had sent you."
Zhao Luo ordered the other guards.
Two of the guards, with hurried steps, jumped towards the corpse of their leader and pulled him up.
The other guards had a shaky smile on their faces as they were bewildered by Zhao Luo's order.

"He spared us."
They bowed their heads slightly before turning around and leaving with the body of the team leader.
Nineteen people had come, with the mission of assassinating Zhao Luo. Seventeen had left, one of them being dead.
Two were left behind, while one was blown to bits and the other,
'Am I going to die?'
The remaining guard mumbled with a tragic look on his face.
'I even answered truthfully. I didn't even get a chance to attack him. And now I will be killed? Like this?'
The guard was going through a self-questioning phase while Zhao Luo came to stand in front of him. He looked at the shadow of Zhao Luo while looking down and tightened the grip over his sword.
'If I am going to die anyway, I would rather fight back.'
The guard had such a thought as his shoulder twitched slightly but such a small action wasn't left unnoticed by Zhao Luo.
"Go on, if you don't want to live."
Zhao Luo said to him with a powerful tone as though he was telling the future which had been decided already for the guard.
"W-will you let me live if I answer your question?"
Listening to the question of the guard whose voice was breaking with fear of losing his life anytime, Zhao Luo took two steps forwards and pulled the guard closer to him.
With his arm over the guard's shoulder, Zhao Luo opened his mouth.
"Why would I kill someone who hasn't harmed me? So, don't worry and tell me what you know about."
Zhao Luo smiled at the guard while using the power of his handsomeness to calm down the guard's fear.
The guard looked at Zhao Luo with shocked eyes and even though he knew that Zhao Luo's words weren't the truth since the team leader had been killed when he hadn't even hurt Zhao Luo, the guard still nodded since he still had hope that he will be spared like the rest of the guards.
"So why did Mo Suo order you to kill me?"
Zhao Luo straight away asked what he wanted to know the most.
'Was the defeat too much for him or was it because she likes me?'
Zhao Luo wondered about the reason but he couldn't decide without listening to the guard's answer.

'Maybe it's because of the leftover stuff at the palace. What a cheap stake.'
Zhao Luo remembered the two bags that he had stored which were left behind by Mo Suo.
Before Zhao Luo could jump on to more conclusions the guard started talking.
"I don't know the reason since Lord Mo Suo didn't order us directly."
The guard slowly answered Zhao Luo's question but this also meant that he couldn't go back to serving Mo Suo.
"Then who was it?"
Zhao Luo continued his investigation while nodding his head.
'So it wasn't him. As I had guessed. It's just been a day, so there is no way that he would have planned something like this.'
Zhao Luo who was thinking about the reason behind Mo Suo's decision a moment ago was now looking at the situation differently.
"It was the Right Serpent."
The guard told Zhao Luo while looking away from him.
'It must have been hard to answer this.'
Zhao Luo thought while looking at the back of his head.
'But...'
"Who is he?"
Zhao Luo was confused as he had never heard of such a name or a person.
The guard was still looking in the opposite direction while his body started trembling.
"Hey, it's okay if you don't want to answer me, you don't have to act like this. Right or Left, I will find the serpent myself."
Zhao Luo said to the guard with a weird look in his eyes as the guard looked like a person who had just taken his first dance glass.
The information he had received till now was enough for Zhao Luo so he didn't want to force an underling to the extremes.
'But what kind of absurd steps are these?'
Zhao Luo wondered while taking his arm off the guard who was literally having seizures while standing.
'Hmmm.'
Right then the old man's sighing sound echoed in Zhao Luo's head and on the other hand the guard fell on his back, the moment Zhao Luo had removed his arm.
"What?"
Zhao Luo was alarmed as he didn't know what the guard was up to but when Zhao Luo's eyes landed on the guard's face, he stumbled back.
The eyes and mouth of the guard were open while blood was seeping out of his eyes, nose and his mouth slowly.
'He will die if this continued.'
The old man said to Zhao Luo who was in a state of shock.
"Master, I know that too."
Zhao Luo unconsciously replied to the old man while staring at the strange condition of the guard.
'Stab him.'
The old man instructed Zhao Luo.
"But where?"
While raising his sword and a reluctant look in his eyes, Zhao Luo asked his master.
'Just do it!'
The old man shouted and at the same time, the amount of blood coming out of the guard's mouth doubled as his body started shaking more viciously than before.
Zhao Luo closed pulled back his arm with which he held the sword and pointed the tip of the glass sword at the chest of the guard as he trusted it forward.
'Whoosh.'
The sword moved towards the chest of the guard.
'Hahaha, there you are little rat.'
Old man's laughter sounded out in Zhao Luo's head while the sword's trajectory shifted.
Before Zhao Luo was controlling the sword but now it felt like, the sword was controlling him, as his arm was forced along with the sword changing its direction.
'Slash.'
The next moment, the glass sword passed through the guard's left leg.
The position of the sword was right beside the guard's little brother which could have been sliced off if the sword was just a few centimeters off, and this scared off Zhao Luo the most.
'As a man, I could have destroyed another man's future.'
Zhao Luo realized the mistake that he could have made by believing in the old man's words but before he could take this up to the old man a high-pitched scream was heard.
"RRREEEEEEEEEEEEE."
Zhao Luo released the hilt of the glass sword and covered his ears as he looked in the direction where the scream was coming from which was obviously where he had sliced past with the glass sword, that is, at the guard's leg.
The guard had stopped convulsing and the scream slowly died down.
'Pull the sword out. He has already lost so much blood that he will die if he loses any more. Do you even have any conscience? Ruthless disciple.'
"Tsk, Why are you blaming me, master? You were the one who told me to stab him."
Zhao Luo complained but also pulled the sword out of the guard's leg hurriedly.
