Town of Savaria
Furius knocks on the door of his family’s house.
“Who is…”
“I hope I didn’t miss the wedding.”
“Big brother!”
Tears form on the eyes of Furius’s little sister as she hugs him.
“We thought you died.”
Furius smiles.
“Your older brother won’t die that easily.”
Inside the house, an older woman looks from a room.
“F… Furius?”
“I'm home, mother.”
Furius’s mother slowly walks to him for an embrace.
“I knew you were alive.”
“I’m just glad to be home.”
Mercator, who is behind Furius and is standing using crutches, coughs to get his attention.
“Ah, oh yeah, this is a friend I made in the Army, he’s Mercator. Is it ok if he lives with us for a bit? His home is in Industropolis and it isn’t really a good time for him to go back.”
“Of course! I’m going to call your father, he’s working in the fields. We are having a celebration tonight!”
A few minutes later, Mercator, Furius, and Furius’s family is at the dinner table.
“Son, ever since we got news that the Americans have landed and that your unit had been wiped out, we were extremely worried.”
“Well, we were lucky and barely escaped.”
“What exactly happened?”
“Well... you guys have read the letter I sent you correct?”:
“Yes.”
“Well, Mercator and I got stationed at…”
Through dinner, Furius and Mercator recounts their experience of the war.
“... we were able to get a ride from this nice guy who has a sister near Burdi.”

Near the town of Isca
A knock came on her door.

“Who is it?”
Pomponia slowly walks to her door confused. Usually no one would come to her house seeing that it is secluded. Recently, she had feared that the Americans would barge in during the invasion but that never happened. Even more surprising was that she heard that the Americans didn’t even pillage Industropolis when they arrived and won. Usually a victorious army would pillage and plunder a defended city.
Pomponia opens her door slightly and looks out. A man is there looking down at her.
“Nice to meet you, I am a diplomat from the United States of America. Are you Pomponia Industros?”

Crowds line the streets for miles. Confetti rains down from houses. Long columns of soldiers with bayonets shining from their magirifles march in formation. Behind them, magitrucks pull magiartillery and light, medium, and heavy magipanzers motor along. Squadrons of magiplanes fly overhead. The infantrymen are singing to their National Army marching song
“Our glorious Army marches on human land and sings this glorious song
A rifleman stands on human’s shores and silently hums along
Up and down we move forward
And the whole world may
Curse us or hail us
Whatever they choose to do
Wherever we are, let’s go forwards!
And we shall laugh like this:
Ha-ha ha-ha!
We’re fighting for elves,
We’re fighting for our leader
We’ll give the humans no rest.
Wherever we are, let’s go forwards!
And we shall laugh like this:
Ha-ha ha-ha!
We’re fighting for elves,
We’re fighting for our leader
We’ll give the humans no rest.
We are prepared to fight in many battles,
To the north, south, east, and west
And now we stand ready to fight against the human plague!
Our glorious Army will never rest,
We will destroy all humans

So that no one will disturb our good fortune
And when our ranks are thinned
For us there will be no retreat!
Wherever we are, let’s go forwards!
And we shall laugh like this:
Ha-ha ha-ha!
We’re fighting for elves,
We’re fighting for our leader
We’ll give the humans no rest.
Wherever we are, let’s go forwards!
And we shall laugh like this:
Ha-ha ha-ha!
We’re fighting for elves,
We’re fighting for our leader
We’ll give the humans no rest.”
On a balcony of a palace overlooking a street where soldiers are marching through, a young and tall person stands looking proudly at this display of strength.
“My leader, the Great Magus’s death is nearing. The doctors are saying that he will die within the month.”
“Send him my regards. He has done his duty for all elves. Finalize the preparations for surfacing.”

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.

The Last Death Mage
Since time immemorial humanity has always feared and shunned what it didn’t understand. Over time this changed a bit to encompass things that didn’t conform to their thoughts and ideals. Due to humanity’s stubbornness with which the enforced their ideals many lives were lost and changed. When humanity first clashed with monsters and the beings that use magic, this trait caused many bloody fights. Over time the fights escalated into battles and full on war on several occasions. Humanity due to their adaptability and persistence won many of these altercations, causing huge casualties to the magical beings. Humanity did not come out unscathed however; many of the empires and civilizations noted in human history fell due to these battles and wars. Eventually over time humanity and the magical beings came to a sort of agreement. Magic and the beings associated with it faded into the background of history, being relegated to myth and legend. Humanity meanwhile advanced leaps and bounds once magic faded, leading to our current level of civilization. Not all magical beings were content with this, thus they did their own actions and killed or fed on humans. This has led to many organizations to be formed concerning this, on both the side of humanity and the side of magical beings. They regulate and control the use of magic as well as protect humanity from the darker things that are now not but myth to them, but there is a reason humanity instinctually fears the dark. Unfortunately there are always those that are unsatisfied by the status quo, and those that are prejudiced against things that are different. This is a story of a young man who wanted nothing more than to be normal. Unfortunately Fate and the world he lives in do not easily allow that this, thus his life changed, not for the better. Everyone has heard of or read stories about monsters and legends, heroes and villains, this is one such story. Hi, this is my second attempt at a story here, the first was before the major overhaul happened and i lost everything related to that story due to PC troubles. I hope you enjoy this if you dont please leave some constructive criticism in the comments. An Editor and the like will be needed, but I will edit as problems are pointed out and as i proof read. This story will have no set schedule, unless of course I decide to type up a bunch in succession then i will note that in a chapter beforehand. ADDED NOTE: most sexual content will be in Interludes or sub chapters with a .5 attached. Profanity and gore however shall be plenty in the actual story, though the descriptives for the gore may be added later. (For example, in the prologue that gave a hint at what happened to the MC, will be enhanced so that the gore invokes more descriptive/complete mental pictures, though it may wait.) ~Tyroth Gideon
