《Totally Normal VRMMO w/ Absolutely ZERO Exploits》Chapter 20 - Everyone, pt. 3 [Prologue End]

As Ulna could walk and craft at the same time, naturally she chose to do so. She finished at fletching level 39 thanks to the well leveled bones she had stolen. She still needed to farm to level 2, but she had a method to do this and walk at the same time, too!
Since attacking while moving was possible in GTO, Ulna could initiate combat with a palm push to push the enemy directly away, then wind up her next melee attack to strike as soon as she and her target was in melee distance, followed by one last strike as they chased her.
By targeting only level one enemies with slow attacks, of which there were a decent number along Ulna's path, she could kill them without stopping movement and without taking any damage in return. She would need to kill two hundred such enemies to hit level 2, which was actually the precise experience ratio of at-level kills per level up for the first 99 levels of the game.
From levels 100 to 199 it was three hundred, 200 to 299 it was four hundred, and from 300 to 399 it was five hundred. It did not increase again at levels 400 and 500 - though the enemies themselves did get much tougher - so as far as anyone in the game knew so far, it would remain a steady 500 kills per level if one only killed enemies of their own level.
For now, Ulna could easily get in her 200 kills as she walked.

Following Sunshine, observing from behind a thick treeline, was the Lizardfolk and Ghoul.
“Looks like she's meeting with some other players,” said the Lizardfolk player named [Bigtaildaddy].
Said big tail was flopping a bit as he munched on a giant steamed fish with one hand and looked through a pair of binoculars with with the other. His overall appearance was fashionable, like a fancy butler, clearly he was a player who enjoyed spending money on gear that looked good.
“Make sure you keep a good angle,” the Ghoul player [Ultomato] replied. In contrast, his gear was extremely edgy, including in the literal sense.
“Better be worth those high level stealth enchantments we had to buy," grumbled Bigtaildaddy before taking another bite of the fish. “How the fuck did she figure out we were following her? She has no gear!"
Ultomato shrugged his overly large, spiked shoulder pads. “Maybe she's stream sniping."
“Right, because we managed to follow one of the six people who actually watch our stream. Hell, she could be your mom."
“Fourteen when we showed those recordings of her," Ultomato corrected. “We even got tipped five silver.”
“The five silver was definitely your mom. Wait, she's moving with her group now. Both look low level too. The orc is wearing bones. Guy's got gear, but it looks pretty shit."

“Quick, follow."
The two kept their distance, with Bigtaildaddy keeping an eye on Chan Si's trio. Both groups walked for some time.
“I hope they do something interesting soon. We're down to four viewers," Ultomato remarked. “We've been at this all day, I need a break.”
He bumped into Bigtaildaddy’s backside.
Bigtaildaddy said, “They stopped. Setting up to attack some wolves. Wait, those things are just level fourteen! Haha, wow, they really are new."
“So she's a noob who got lucky.” Ultomato shook his head. “When are we going to get lucky? Damn it, we wasted so much. Why did you talk me into this?"
“Me? You're the one who- holy shit!"
“What, what's happening?”
“Literally every time the dude kills one of them the orc is pulling out its bones before it even hits the floor. Then she crafts some shit and is at the next one the second it dies, too! These two are like a machine."
“What about the elf?”
“Cutting down trees.”
“So she's getting carried. Maybe she sold the information on the secret quest to a super guild, and in exchange two of super-guilders made alts to carry her?"
Bigtaildaddy didn't reply.
“Dude?”
“Huh? Oh. Spaced out. Their rhythm is weirdly hypnotic. I've watched the super-guilders play before, but this is something else.”
Ultomato accessed some in-game menuing. “There, changed the stream title. ‘Super-guilders, parentheses question mark, farm machine!’"
Around fifteen minutes later, Ultomato was screaming.
“Twenty viewers! We did it! We finally hit twenty viewers!”
"Looks like they're done farming.”
“Wait, don't say that! No, go back to farming! Our views!"
Half their stream viewership left immediately.
“Maybe they're just going to go farm in another spot. Keep tuning in to find out!” Ultomato begged the remaining viewers.
But about another thirty minutes later and all the group has done was travel some more, causing the stream to drop to only three viewers.
Bigtaildaddy yawned. “That's it for me, I can't handle anymore.”
“You're quitting?!”
“No, I'm getting something to eat and going to bed. We can find them again tomorrow.”
“Fine, log off then. I'll continue the stream myself.”
“Seriously? You were the one complaining earlier how you wanted to take a break.”
“Twenty viewers, Beeteedee! Twenty! Who knows how many we could end up with it. Thirty? Fifty? Maybe even a hundred?!"
“Whatever man, the elf's your mom, not me. Later.”
Ultomato did not reply, he was busy setting up the stream from his perspective.
Bigtaildaddy logged off.

Gearme's group managed to hit level 6 on Sunshine and Ulna sooner than it took Pickapart and Maybetasty to do the same, even given the head start in time by the latter. However, the former still had a longer travel time to the meeting spot than the latter, so it worked out.

By that level, both Sunshine and Ulna had gained an additional [Skill] each.
Sunshine's was a toggleable passive [Skill], Profound Light. While active it would boost healing effects cast by 20%, or 40% more healing when cast on self, but increase their mana cost by 100%. She did not plan to use it outside emergencies, as it was far more mana inefficient.
Ulna's was an active [Skill] buff, Bullying Strikes. While the buff was active, melee hits on enemies by the True Totem Demon would apply a small taunt effect and slow the enemy movement and attack speed by 10% for 2 seconds, which multiple attacks did not stack the effect, but did stack the duration.
It wasn't a great [Skill], but it wasn't bad either, as the buff lasted twenty seconds with a forty second cooldown and had low stamina cost, meaning Ulna would not need to worry too much about when to use it.
During these earliest levels, it was the plan for most of the party members to spend time crafting in the midst of farming sessions while the party was carried by Gearme, due to how many times more effectively Gearme could farm than the others. Only Maybetasty would contribute as well, as they did not have and could not gain the ability to craft.
Once Sunshine got her elementals, the group as a whole would shift into a more active role.
The basic level 1 bone gear that Ulna had crafted for herself, Sunshine, and Pickapart would be enough for them until level 10, for any combats where they could not level their background, such as a battlefield without trees nearby for Sunshine.
Once they reached level 10, Ulna would want to craft the best level 10 bone gear she could and give it to them, at which point Gearme would use his enchantments on any pieces of bone gear that were at least uncommon. At that point it would be worth it for them to join in regular fights, and Chan Si would only have them leveling gathering or crafting if they wouldn't be very useful in a specific fight, or if they needed some time off to regain mana or stamina.
The exception would be Pickapart, who would be forced to level Dissembler whenever the group's loot bags got too full, right up until the point they wouldn't be able to hold even a single item more. Situationally that would mean time to go to the nearest NPC merchant, but it could also be the case Chan Si would continue to farm without regard for most additional loot, if the advantages were great enough.
Thus, Chan Si wanted to acquire some basic elementals for Sunshine around level 10 or 11. The class of Dual Elemental Master could use up to Legendary elementals as pets, but of course they could use ones of lower rarity as well.
Common ones would be good enough for Chan Si's plans for a good number of levels, at which point she would go out of her way to acquire uncommon or possibly even rare ones. Legendary enemies did not start appearing until level 100, so Sunshine would need to wait at least that long to acquire ones, possibly longer depending on her luck.
Leveling her characters, leveling gathering and crafting skills, making money, finding bugs, traveling between points, figuring out the unknown legendary monstrous character evolution, doing any truly good quests and dungeons, gearing Gearme and otherwise acquiring useful loot, and more!
These were factors that Chan Si had to consider in every decision and plan. Many had overlap or synergistic effects on others, so she would need to figure out the most efficient order and priority at any given time, as well.
The further her plans progressed, the more likely things were to go wrong, and Chan Si would need to adapt to truly unexpected situations.
She had full confidence in her own ability to do so.
===
The area which Pickapart and Maybetasty had to cross through was called the Weeping Forest. It had many plant and fey type enemies, though was most well known for the large variety of mushroom based enemies with powerful strikes even at low levels.
They were slow enemies with slow attack speeds, but it was still possible to get unlucky and take a hit from them when trying to avoid them. If Pickapart hadn't spent the time to level, she could become paste in one punch from the area's weakest enemies! Thankfully she had planned a route to avoid anything more powerful.
Next to the Weeping Forest was the Laughing Forest, which had similar but different enemies. It was still plants and fey, and primarily mushrooms, but enemies tended to focus on attack speed over raw attack power.
It was actually considered tougher than the Weeping Forest due to enemies' high movement speed and relentless debuffing, but Chan Si did not plan to enter that area on her way to link her groups.
At the intersection of the two forests was the entrance to a dungeon, the Grotto of Endless Emotion. It was a dungeon that Chan Si was considering entering during her farm, for the rare loot, but she had yet to decide on it versus some other options.
After barely surviving a mushroom's strike and recovering with two health potions, Pickapart managed to reach end of the Weeping Forest.
Just a bit longer left walking and the two groups of Chan Si’s party could see one another!
The group play was ready to begin!
Full power!

A certain woman’s in-game messenger made a ding.
“Hey boss. Someone sent an interesting stream clip. This one of ours?"
She watched the clip. A smirk spread across her face.
‘This’ most certainly was not ‘one of ours’.
Yet.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

Tironia
Reincarnated on the world of Tironia, I find myself naked and alone. Apart from the fact that I've been linked with a less than helpful companion, through my own doing no less. All I want is a kick-ass name and some super-sweet magic. "Is that too much to ask for?" Apparently so. All I got, was a schizophrenic sidekick and a set of bad jokes. "Is it time to start shitting my pants yet?" Note: If you enjoy my first novel, please leave a rating or a comment. Constructive criticism is also appreciated. As of now Tironia is complete. I need to edit the chapters however as there are many, many mistakes. Once that's complete, I will begin work on Erins next adventure: Dungeon Igo. Current Chapter Rewritten: 1

YAOS 1 - Limitless Adventures - Yet Another OP Story Book 1
December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and at Amazon. December 30th 2018: V1.1.2 of YAOS Book 1 is out, some content additions, fixed typos. Amazon's enhanced typesetting now displays tables properly. YAOS is shown through the eyes of some genius athlete getting OP inside a VR, ah wait, Full Immersion game, ?F.I.O?. Not a Hero, not a Nerd, just a driven individual paying for mistakes made, biding time until he can return to the Real World. He isn't defined like you'd normally do it, you can pick his looks and name all on your own, just like you do in video games. Believe it or not, keeping his looks undefined is harder than you think. His backstory isn't expounded in detail, but it drives his choices. Book 1 isn't about depressing sob stories but about fun and rushing forward, pursuing new horizons. Oh, and you'll end on a cliffhanger! Well, most serials do, so you will probably expect that without being told explicitly. But it isn't that bad, there's a lot of reveals and more to come once this book, that is the first in a planned three-part series, is finally ready for release on amazon et al. The published version will have: 1.) Godawful speaker tags, I hate them, they make you stop thinking and speed up editing so much. In hindsight they should have been in to begin with. But I stand by my goals proclaimed earlier. You guys should think while reading, that is the whole point of the exercise. Apply the knowledge and ideas, improve yourself, get creative! 2.) Pretty colored tables, the damned blue boxes, a lot of work, 69 in one book. Finally fixed amazon's centering issue. Can't say I liked the hours needed to debug that. 3.) The promised Mitara chapters. 4.) A cover! 5.) And lastly, updated polished versions of several chapters. MC shares more of his past, some terrible chapters (esp. 32) finally work. Some new scenes, minor rewrites in parts. Text flow and other issues. The current challenge is to maintain essential ambiguity while satisfying people wanting to know more without thinking three steps ahead. Balancing one with the other is tough. The smut which was in remains, but the story told is not to be superseded by it. A 15+ rating for the first book is also important, not to mention, YAOS wasn't meant to contain any smut to begin with. If the Author can turn to writing full time his output should increase, so please support YAOS #1 once it does finally release. ~Thank You~ No maps so far, that should be in, but is really hard to get done right. Again, tips are appreciated. Update September 2017: Stubbed chapters, sorry guys, currently don't have time to upload them elsewhere, polishing book 1 and 2, writing 3, takes precedence. Book 1 is in heavy editing, too much to keep synced and continuing editing. I'd need a site which offers JS-free rapid managing of chapters and comments. Coding one myself or setting a premade up is out of scope until I'm done with the books. RRL-old offered that, nuff said. This is only here because the author believes in fairies, nobody reads this, most likely. October to December 2017: Life threw some curveballs. February 2018: Book 2 draft 1 completed, at ~150K words. Book 2 is fairly epic in scope, requires 1 rewritten chapter, some editing. Tables and miscellanea are in, but needs at least a grammar pass. March 2018: Book 3 at 28k words, first arc, rest needs serious planning for spin-off and satisfying conclusion. July 2018: Yet another proofing/editing session of books 1-3, 101+ chapters, ~300k words. B3 at 48k, starts out great, but no ETA, no wordcount limit, in flux. But prioritizing my writing cannot be done, I hate the delays as much as you, but you will prefer the whole released in a timely fashion rather than wait. Knowing myself how excruciating waiting can be, at least you'll get significantly polished versions and an ETA on book 2 by release of book 1. December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and in the process at Amazon et. al.. . To all who wait patiently, offered feedback, thanks again!

Challenged Dungeon and the Arrival of Mana
One day, a few spirits drifting through the astral plane discover Earth and decide to create dungeons to bridge the gap between worlds, and eventually make themselves the gods of Earth. After being created, Three has the misfortune of falling through a grate in an alley in New York City and making that its entrance. Suddenly propelled to sizes much larger than an infant dungeon should be it becomes the frontrunner of all its sibling dungeons, yet faces problems initially attracting creatures. Three's problems only worsen over time as its demanding and seemingly capricious creator gradually strips away its ability to be a true dungeon while compelling it to reach a nearly impossible goal: conquer all humans. Also follow Stan, the alcholic veteran cop and his pet cat Ms. Winters as they get embroiled into the arrival of dungeons and mana. I have most of the story mapped out, but it can still use some work, my goal is to release at least a chapter a week until I am finished. I would greatly appreciate any help proofreading or editing, and advice is always appreciated. UPDATE School caught up with me back then and I lost the thread, so this is now (definitely) dropped, sorry all, maybe I'll get back to it one day.
