CHAPTER THIRTY
Was the world always so full of things that want us dead?
~
Achievement: Rushing to Adventure
Just a boy of ten, and you’re already on your way
You could still be faster, but I’ll send some strength your way
There are still a lot of monsters much stronger than you
The challenges that lay upon the road ahead aren’t few
Leaf had never left the village without his mother
Avoiding straying for at the advice of his brother
Now, despite being the youngest brother of the five
He would be the first to out and try to survive
He couldn’t ask them for their help since Twig was not their friend
Even if they may have agreed to help in the end
Just like his mother, who had raised them by herself for years
He would take care of his own, through any pain and tears
“Do you think he made it far, after all, he’s quite slow
I wonder how far the System told that guy to go”
Sky thought for a moment as she quickly led the way
“I’m more concerned with where he spent his first night yesterday”
Achievement: Uncertain Quest
Your tenacity is really something to behold
System gossip even makes the gods up here feel cold
I won’t help you disobey direct orders from it
But chasing answers takes more gumption than they would admit
She noticed her attack stat go up and gave a wry smile
“I hope my weird new god can calm himself after a while
I know I went a little crazy when Twig was injured
But a slightly nicer class change would have been preferred…”
From what she’d heard about the system since the other day
It seemed unusual for it to chase someone away
Legends told of villains and empires who disappeared

But the System had never been something which children feared
“I think it’s a big misunderstanding or a trick
Twig’s god always made even his brightest days tragic
Maybe he was shown a status screen that wasn’t real
Or imagined it after that whole portal ordeal”
“It really was weird how the adults all just went crazy
The details of that System talk were all really hazy
My mother said to listen if a System message came
But didn’t seem to worried much about it all the same”
As they spoke they tried to think of where Twig might have gone
Sometimes straying from the mountain path they walked upon
They started to enjoy the feeling of the adventure
Thinking of what they might run into in the future
Leaf was confident that if he faced bugs like back then
He would be much faster and would not be stung again
Sky was confident as well, but worried for her class
And soon enough their first portal encounter came to pass
It opened up right near the trail, not too big or too small
It was just about as wide as the young Leaf was tall
They waited to see what came out as they were trained to do
Hoping it was not more bugs, or at least just a few
“Don’t go running into things this time, please use your head
Todd isn’t here now, so safety falls on us instead”
“You’re sure one to talk, try not to lose your cool again
I was scared you’d kill us along with those bugs back then!”
Out of the portal soon came but a single monster
Not a weak looking one, but not strong looking either
It was like a rabbit that had grown up big and mean
The boar-sized rabbit didn’t have the strongest stats they’d seen
~ Name: Unnamed ~

From a distance it may look like a rabbit, but big
But this creature does a lot more than just jump and dig
It could rip a part a careless traveller or two
And there is a high chance it can run faster than you

Our Chaoz; Our Reality (Completed)
Everyone has their own reasons, be it past events, personality or simply company. But most at some point divulge themselves into videogaming, be it for entertainment or more compettitive reasons. In this year and age there are many genres of gaming, one specific genre though still holds on tight to the ledge it was pushed to trying to pull itself back up. MMORPGs were once the top of everybody's list, adventure, combat, storytelling and endless grind in one single game. It was a different life for most, as if a parallel world to our own. You could be a knight indulging yourself in combat, a mage expertly crafting spells of mass destruction or creation. A ranger exploring the land and hunting down prey, an assassin completing contracts and hording the spoils. A troll scamming children out of their hard earned 10 gold and making more hardcore players rage quit for the day. Or something else. Kyle was a simple player, he always picked the strangest classes or jobs and his characters almost looked the same. He played for the combat, he played for the grind and he played for his guild but above all he played for the story. Kyle is a roleplayer, one who enjoys the simple parts of this virtual life. Whether his guild was starting a war or ending one he'd always have his drammatic entrence or exit, his decleration of annihalition or demand of surrender. After all that? He divulged himself in the game's story, the interaction with NPCS (Non Player Characters) and their advanced AI. He went through many questlines, many tales of heroics and many more adventurers of legend but one thing always remained true with his character. Kyle absolutely loved to the play the villain. But when game turns reality, what will he and his guild of twisted personalities do?

The ashes of his life coated his body, making him appear as a gray uneven statue, a monument to his own sorrow. Ages pass, Life returns to the barren world, but how will the sins of the past affect its future? Saora of Valskaar begins another routine patrol of Valkaars borders. Accompanying rising a star of the Long-Riders, Captain Luke, as his Shield Maiden, unaware of the spiraling events that will change her life, and possibly end it. (This is my first novel, though the idea for it has been in the back of my mind for years, This is my attempt to put it to paper. Looking forward to any constructive criticism, however, i already have in mind, the entire plot and tone of the story, any revisions based on feedback will likely only be considered upon completion. As of now starting out, i haven't really settled on a timeline for regular updates But I aiming for at least two chapters a week at about 2000 words each. I will promise at least one chapter of that size at least once a week, until completion. I'm rather determined to put this story on paper ( or web page i guess).
