《The Werewolf Cheerleader》Book Two: Chapter 15

My hands trembled, turning cold. And my breath skyrocketed from my throat.
My legs were ready to sprint into action as I stood on my toes. I felt my fingernails grow into claws slowly.
I learned I didn’t have to fully transform my body to attack a monster. By breathing and focusing, I could change my body parts a little. Not so painful either.
Salina’s magic tattoo helped me channel my transformation ability to do that. Meditation and yoga also helped too.
The yellow eyes vanished, and something flew toward my face. I screamed and swung my claw through the air.
The creature dodged my slap and vanished in the air.
I stared at the dark sky, feeling my heart race. "What the hell was that?"
"It's just a bat," said Salina, grinning at me. "You look funny when you're scared."
I glared at her, thinking about scaring her panties off later. Then we'll see who looked funny when they're scared.
Betty giggled. "I actually think you look cute when you jump. Don't feel bad about that."
Well, at least Betty was being nice. And I totally like being called cute. Heeheehee.
"Let's move quickly to the castle," said Kevin. "It's already dark out here."
"Right. This way." As I walked, my fingernails shrunk back to normal.
I glanced at the bush where I saw the yellow wolf eyes, glaring at me. Maybe it was only my imagination, but I was totally sure the eyes were there. They couldn't belong to the bat. That bat would have to be freaking huge to have big ass wolf eyes. I just need to totally stay on my toes.
"Are you sure that was a bat?" I asked.
Salina shrugged. "My eyes can see through the dark."

As if!
"If there was a bat here, does that mean there is a cave here?" I asked.
"Maybe, but bats can fly for miles at night," said Kevin. "There might be a cavern not far from the lake."
I hate bats, especially the ones that suck blood from people. Worse than leeches in a river.
I glanced at Betty, noticing her yellow eyes gazed at my butt. She smiled while her tongue licked her lower lip.
My spine shivered. "What!"
She glanced at me and shook her head. "Sorry….. I'm hungry. I hope Brian brought a good buffet."
Right…..
Betty gazed forward. "Anyway, I got lost because nobody gave me directions to the castle. Good thing I ran into you."
"How did Brian meet your gang?" I asked.
Betty bit her lip. "We met at a bar near the highway. Some drunk was harassing me while my gang took a leak in the restroom. Brian was the only one who stood up against the asshole and threw him out through the window. I thanked him by buying him a drink."
Wow! Brian never told anyone about that, not even to his girlfriend. That story will totally make him more popular at school.
"He did asked me out, but I told him I was into girls," Betty continued. "Not to break his heart though. He is a badass."
I sighed. If Brian was having an affair, that would totally break Tiffany's heart. Then I would totally bust his bones apart.
"How long ago did you meet him?" I asked.
Betty stepped past a tree. "Two months ago, I think. We sometimes talk on phones to stay in touch. But I traveled a lot with my gang."
"So he called you to tell you about his party?"
"Yes, then my gang and I immediately drove to Moondale. We love parties."
Hopefully they weren't hooligans, planning to crash the party.
Square lights glimmered straight ahead behind the trees. We were almost close to the castle, but I still felt like something was watching us on the island.

Margrave's Divinity (Rewrite)
Power always comes with a price. Seventeen years ago, obsidian towers thousands of feet tall erupted from the earth near the world’s population centers. Strange magic accompanied their appearance—powerful and inexplicable abilities granted to lucky humans, called Embers for the burning in their eyes. Lyle isn’t lucky, though. When the recently-unemployed college dropout finally manages to get his hands on a Cinder, he is utterly disappointed to find that he will never be an Ember like his father or brother. Before he even has time to process his failure, a strange Ember shoves him through a tear in reality and into the cave of a dragon, where the titanic beast claims to be an ancient goddess of myth and legend. She has a gift for him, but it comes with a warning. War is coming. --- Posting Thursdays and Sundays at 8am Central. Confused about the rewrite? See my letter to previous readers here.

Summoned
“Per aspera ad astra." Death. Mercilessly, it comes for all. But when a young man is given a second chance – a second life – to experience what he never has, what will he do? Leave the burdens of his past behind, improving upon his faults? Or will he collapse back into old sins, wasting the opportunity given to him? Perhaps even he himself does not know. * Join Andre on his journey as he explores a new world – one ripped straight from the pages of a D&D campaign he's never played. He will face monsters. He will face men. And above all, he will face himself. The story’s genre is your standard progression fantasy, isekai: magic, a system, and a level of technology suspiciously underdeveloped. I’ve borrowed tropes from various books I’ve read like “The Second Coming of Gluttony”. The similarities are there (particularly in the beginning), but I assure you the story is my own. It’s in the first-person perspective and has its own quirks, characters, and world for you to become immersed in. The upload schedule for this will be different from the usual fictions on this site: I’ll release chapters in batches rather than so many a week. I’m a college student, so I don’t want another deadline to worry about. Depending on the popularity/demand of the series, I might increase or decrease the rate of releases. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the story! P.S. This is my first fiction so make sure to point out mistakes wherever you see them. I’m doing this, partly, to increase my skill as a writer. However, be kind! I’m fragile, you know? Warning: ***This is far from your happy-go-lucky, feel-good adventure story. There will be content that some of you might not be comfortable with. And if you're already feeling skeptical reading this, click away and don't come back. If you're still here, what are you waiting for?***

Multiple people, multiple ways
Sometimes things get harder, when people know their feelings TOO well. Which often results in (especially for teenagers) a very confusing time. If you pair that up with many many many personal crisis'... life becomes much harder than one might expect.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WE ARE BACK TO BASICS! If someone knows me from a long time ago, they'll know I used to make ALL my covers via very bad editing because I didn't have anything better. Well, I have nothing better anymore, so, the cover is going to be that until I get it changed somehow. This'll be POLYAMORY. I will say it at the start, I absolutely hate, when things get stupidly complicated because people can't decide in fanfics, unless it's done well.Welcome to the adventure of me making a story absolutely nobody asked for.

The Discarded
The Umbrae Lunae existed before man, beautiful abominations birthed in the nightmares of mad gods. They wait for humanity to misstep, for the angels to look away. For the moment when they can cloak the world in moon shadows once again. But even horrors have children. Even nightmares must feed. One child, unlike the others, finds his way to a school for young abominations. Will he be a sheep cast before the wolves, or a terror that wears the skin of wool to entice the wolf close? The flesh of his body was his only coin, strips cut to pay debts that never ended. Everyone has scars, stories in a life led, lessons learned, and licks taken. Luminous bodies touched by darkness. There are a cursed few that are the opposite, black shadows consumed by scars, twisted minds devoured by diseased hungers, bodies tortured misshapen works of gouged flesh, silver lines of blade thin cuts, ragged tears of teeth and glass. For them, the scars are marks of homecoming, the mangled wasteland the only place they feel at peace. Hell is a place. It's made of concrete, steel and glass. It's the sounds of starving kids crying themselves to sleep, huddling into small balls as creepers come and take their due of innocence and tender meat. It's eating rotten food and carrying ticks in your hair. It’s having no one and nothing while surrounded by everything. It's the life of a street kid. What abomination was birthed in the corrupt womb of man’s cast-off shit? Pretty people don't know the power of ugly. They can't see the strength in a broken soul or the power in a calloused heart. Those secrets are for the discarded alone. Only the broken understand the grace of darkness. The blessed folds that hide scars and tears, the protection of its concealing umbra.
