《Working at an Isekai Office While Terrible Things Happen》[ARC 1] Chapter 9 - A Favor from the Demon King

She teleported into the Demon King’s throne room. She tossed Eichi in front of them.
“As promised, here is the Hero.”
The Demon King sat on his throne of bones. He looked like a demon, giant black twin horns, red eyes and black sclera, a giant muscular body, and adorned in golden armor.
He leaned in, getting a better look at the Hero.
“This is the man that brought down all four of my Heavenly Kings?” He looked skeptical.
“I can confirm this is him. Now as per our contract, you will execute him,” Eira took out her grimoire to hold up high. The skull was giving its ominous glow. “That is the favor I ask of you.”
“The Demon King!” Eichi had roused awake when he spotted the Demon King. He tried to stand but fell. The shackles on his wrists and ankles not only prevented him from standing up properly but using mana as well.
“When I get out of this. I will turn you into pulp! Pulp! Pulp! Pulp!” He snarled. “If only I had boulder-chan! I would do it!”
The Demon King turned to one of the two demon guards that flanked him. “Shut him up.” One of them kicked him in the head, the Demon King’s gaze went back to Eira. “You have given me a great gift. He will make a fine slave.”
“Not a slave.” The Skull Grimoire in her hand gave an ominous glow. “Dead. You have a contract to oblige to. If not, you will meet an unfortunate end.”
“Is that a threat?” The Demon King leaned in.
“A warning.” With her terminal a screen popped open in front of the Demon King. “These were men and women alike that refused to abide by the contracts they signed. Not only were they cursed, but I also dealt with them personally.”

She opened her favorite video. It showed her mercilessly destroying an army by herself. The Demon King paled.
“You understand now right? Kill him, right now, in front of me.”
“You…you’re one of them aren’t you?” She was surprised that he was still conscious with that level of beating. His face had turned into…to use his words, a blood pulp. “You’re one of those accursed gods that tossed me here! That took me away from my wife!”
“And your unborn child.” She added.
That seemed to inflame the man even more. The Demon guard kicked him in the gut as he tried to stand.
“A god?” The Demon King shifted his weight and narrowed his eyes. “And why would a god want a hero dead?”
She gave a slight smile underneath the mask. “A contract was formed. That is my bond. Will you-”
Her terminal beeped, notifying her of something of importance. Her heart swelled just like her smile. Her chance had come.
She opened a portal.
“You will do this. I must go, but I will find out if you haven’t killed the Hero. And you don’t want me to find out,” she warned him.
With that she left.

The god had ascended back into his realm. Despite what he said, the Demon King highly doubted he would be back. Gods were busy. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t be sending mediocre candidates here to impede him.
Though, he had to admit, he was curious as to why gods stopped the current hero. He wondered if the hero could be used to destroy them.
“Throw him in the mines. He will be a slave until I can think of what we can use him for,” the Demon Lord commanded.
“But my King, the God said to kill him. What of your pact?”

“The God is lying. He wants us to kill him because the Hero has secrets.” The Demon King stood and walked to the human. “Find someone that looks like him, and the man known as the Hero shall die.”
He lifted the Hero’s face, giving a demonic smile.
“I hope you like mining.”
“I will smash you into a bloody pulp! Your heavenly kings all underestimated me, and I smashed them like jelly!” The Demon King slapped the man with the back of his hand. He did not cry out but returned a look. His eyes were that of a wild beast’s. That would need to be tamed later.
“Ha! Whatever I-”
“Smash! Smash! Smash I will! Pulp!” He kept on yelling. His eyes were red and crazed like a rabid dog.
“I-”
“Bloody, wet, pulp! And then with your points I will slay the gods!”
“Okay, this man is crazy. Take him away please.”
