《Keep Your Pants On! I'm Trying to Study!》Chapter 8 - XXXFBI

The next day, Kyle borrowed his human mother’s car to go to his ship. There he picked up his vitamins, the fabricated sensors and a few fabricated dog treats he’d need for later. Something he realized he’d need after researching that security guard scumbag.
He hesitated at the opening to his ship’s small wall armory. This world wasn’t as safe as he’d assumed. And the host of his borrowed memories just hadn’t lived long enough for him to know enough about the dangers in this world. So, with reservations and the knowledge that he’d eventually have to use it to kill the Lisundai anyway, he used his genes to unlock the hidden panel. He picked out a very small plasma pistol. And stuffed it into the backpack he’d fabricated before going to the hospital.
Before leaving he checked on human Kyle. He laid in the stasis chamber, pale but alive. The chamber had done emergency treatment on him. But it would still take a long time to heal those injuries.
And although the human wouldn’t have lived if Tov Kyle hadn’t been there, he still felt a little guilty uprooting this person’s life. Because it may take anywhere from several years to several decades for his people to receive the emergency beacon and send someone for him. And considering they were in a backwater part of the Galaxy, even several decades was looking like it might be too soon.
It didn’t help that Kyle was a mere private with no actual backing. But the Federation never left anyone behind. Of course, that was relative since it sometimes took decades for a rescue to happen. Fortunately, his species lived hundreds of years so decades weren't that long to them… usually. Kyle wasn’t very old. Multiple decades to him would be over twice his life

But, since he didn’t have a choice, he would do his best to live in human Kyle’s stead. He would take care of his family, and when his species came for him, he’d release the still youthful Kyle whose aging would have slowed to a crawl while in stasis.

On his way back to the house, he stopped by a certain pervert’s apartment. The thing he hadn’t mentioned to his sister, was that he wanted to double-check this man’s house and work area to make sure he didn’t have any printed pictures laying around.
With his device out and blocking any of the CCTV footage that could incriminate him, Kyle made his way to apartment number 206. The guard was currently at work and had no wife or kids. He did have a roommate but according to his information, he was also at work during this hour.
So Kyle walked up to the door. It had a nice fancy number padlock on it, which he easily bypassed using his device again. Funnily enough, he would have actually had a harder time getting past a standard analog lock.
He stepped into the apartment and froze. A small dog came waddling up to him, tail wagging and tongue lolling. This was the roommate’s corgi. Kyle expected him and handed it a few of the treats he’d come prepared with.
According to his information, puppies couldn’t resist treats like this, and indeed the little dog gobbled them up.
He patted its head then he made his way through the messy house. Beer bottles lined the counter, dishes were piled in the sink, and laundry was laid half folded on the dining table.
Original Kyle had a bit of OCD, and it was also affecting Tov Kyle. He found that he much preferred living with the Ivy parents to such messy accommodations. But the layout itself actually wasn’t that horrible.

He made his way into the first room. It smelled of dog and had a cute little bed next to the large four-poster that took up most of the space. Since this wasn’t the pervert’s, he backtracked and opened the closed door to the other room.
The little corgi tried to get in, but he grabbed it under its chest and pulled it back. He then threw another treat across the room. It delightfully chased after it.
Sighing, Kyle stepped into the room. It was dark, but his vision was better than the human standard. The twin-size bed had black sheets that looked like they hadn’t been washed in months. There was a closet, a bookshelf, and a massive desk with two 32 inch monitors on top of it.
He also had a color printer.
It didn’t look like there were any extra images at first glance. But that was why he brought his device. He had it scan the room looking for a place where the pervert would hide a stash of ill-taken photos.
It directed him to an outlet. Apparently, it wasn’t an outlet at all but a hole he’d cut to install a tiny hidden wall safe.
He opened it. It did not contain any dirty pictures. Instead, it held a passport, a safe deposit box key, and some emergency cash.
Kyle stared at his device as if it had betrayed him. Then he thought better and looked deeper, taking the wall safe completely out of the hole. There he found several small notebooks. Each one was filled. The indecent pictures of girls—one photo glued to each page—some of whom might be [Warning! Under the Age of Consent]. Of course, Kyle didn’t flip through them, he just scanned each book and had his device tell him if any of these pictures correlated to Hanna.
Fortunately, they did not. So he placed them back inside the wall, put the wall safe back, and called the XXXFBI to report a pedophile.

Under a Boundless Sky
If you were to ask someone what they thought of Revian Snow, they would say that she's small. Cute too. Doesn't talk much. Average grades, and hard to find in a crowd, though you'd think that someone with her looks would be more noticeable. She also plays the popular VRMMO's for some reason, but doesn't like to interact with others too much, even online. In short, she doesn't stand out too much. She likes it that way—After all, it's much easier to keep a secret when nobody's looking for one. If you enjoy my work, please consider supporting me on Patreon. Following the philosophy of his teacher, Gin Kagan, Zeta intends to become a "Servant of Humanity," in an endeavor to protect mankind from its gravest threats, from power-hungry sigma-users, but most importantly, from itself.
