《A Beautiful Woman of Science and Other Absurdities》Chapter 49

Case Carswell, founder and leader of the secret society he named “The Order of One Justice,” sat in his “office” hidden somewhere beyond the borders of the UEN with his armed bodyguard never far from him. Case’s office was not really an office in the typical sense of the word with four walls, a window and a desk. No, in fact, his “office” looked like a courtroom with a raised bench for the judge, two long tables in front of the bench for the prosecution and defense attorneys, a jury box for twelve jurors and a gallery in the back for the public. It was not difficult to guess, then, that Case thought of himself as the judge, so he wore a black robe and occupied the bench as his “desk”. His bodyguard acted as bailiff and sat off to the side of the bench.
A “court clerk” arrived in Case’s courtroom with a disk in his hand. “Your honor, please have a look at the data that was collected by our hackers. I think you will be highly interested.” The clerk handed the disk over to Case who inserted it into a computer terminal sitting on his desk.
“Thank you,” said Case to the Clerk, “You may be dismissed.”
Case looked at the screen of his terminal while the data on the disk was displayed one page at a time. As he absorbed the data scrolling by, Case saw something that grabbed his attention and he leaned forward to get a closer look. An evil grin crept across his face as he realized the value of the data now in his possession. He slapped his hand on the table with a loud clap on wood.
“This is fantastic! These are all the log files and archives from the UEN’s laboratory Transportal. All the experiments run and data gathered are recorded here. All the secrets of Leandre Renard are here and more! Do you understand what this means, Dillon?”

Case was asking his bailiff, Dillon, who was busy cleaning his finger nails. “What does it mean, your honor?”
“It means the power of teleportation is ours!” gloated Case. “Quickly, we must get this data to our scientists so they reverse engineer these datasets. It’s only a matter of time before we will be able to achieve 99.999999999% teleportation accuracy and challenge the UEN’s monopoly on Transportals which only serve their interests.”
“Is that your final ruling, your honor?” Dillon wanted be sure.
“Yes, it is my final ruling,” confirmed Case.

Arduous New World
Alright, so I'm using this as a whetstone to practice my fiction writing. I have dyslexia, so bear with me if I have any mistakes, if you point them out I'll try and correct them. The story is LitRPG, I'll try and avoid some of the tropes, see FAQ. What happens is that the world turns out to be a simulation coming to an end, and beginning on its new simulation, in this process the system of the universe declares that the new simulation will be rpg-based. The protagonist however is thrust into an empty space before the simulation comes to an end, he escapes and finds that the world as he knew it is gone.Chapters will come sporadically as I'm quite busy IRL. FAQ1: There will be no Harem. 2: If any sexual content, it will be be below the screen, example sentence [they made love - or - they had sex]3: I'll try to keep character motivations steady instead of having characters who says and does one thing in one chapter, only to change their mind in the next one. 3: Villains or "bad guys" won't be charicatures. Of course, as in real life, you can meet these people, but as far as big bads or antagonists goes, they will have some modicum of intelligence. 4: The MC does not have an encyclopedia of random knowledge. 5: OP'ness won't happen overnight, and it is something that I'm wary of in terms of adding it, of course eventually the MC will grow more powerful, but there won't be any cheats, except hard work; and the luck factor will be more or less similar to the rest of the population. 6: He won't be opposing the universe, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant7: he won't become friends with god/the ghost in the shell etc, no matter how powerful he grows, he is too insignificant, and an ancient simulation ai has no interest anyway, why would it ? Okay that's that for now.
