[7PlayCool:
Hey, new player here! I just bought the game and I’m about to register my account, but I was wondering...
Do you guys have any recommendations on what kind of skills I should obtain in here?]
[EveryM4N:
That depends. What kind of character are you planning to make?]
[7PlayCool:
IDK... Probably an archer or a rogue would be nice. I'm okay with playing any race you recommend as well.]
[Zedi29:
I suggest the latter. The archery skill in here sucks.]
[7PlayCool:
Why is that?]
[Zedi29:
For one thing, it doesn't have any kind of lock-on system or a homing system like you’d see in any first-person shooter games. So unless you're a professional archer or have crazy accuracies like Hawkeye or Green Arrow in real life, you're practically a sitting duck.
A lot of beta testers used that skill and most of their attacks missed. Basically, it’s a stupid mechanic, if you ask me…]
[7PlayCool:
Oh... That's a shame...]
[EveryM4N:
Most players forget that they need to replenish their arrows via item shops or a trusted crafter before they can take a Quest. And basically, buying powerful arrows will cost them tons of money.
And let me tell you, the grinding in this game is tough.]
[Zedi29:
Yep, thanks for reminding me, M4N!
Case in point, I suggest you take any skills OTHER than archery. You should find posts that list the skills that you can and can't take. Besides, I doubt you’ll see any player in the game carrying a bow and quiver.]
[CuriousGossip2:
Sorry to butt in, but I just wanted to point out that I did see a brunette-haired kid carrying those on launch day. I don't know if that's important though since we do have an option to change skills midway through the game.

But if you're planning on taking a tanking job, I suggest that Shield or Axe skills would be the best option, as well as selecting one of the [Beastfolk] races to become. To be honest, it's the easiest role you can do in Isekai so far.]
[Zedi29:
Yep. Just... Don't pick the [Insignis] race. It's completely useless.]
[7PlayCool:
Okay… Well, I should think about it once the game is finished installing.]
[EveryM4N:
That's okay! Feel free to ask us for more advice if you get stuck again. Peace!]
[Zedi29
And make sure you link up your game account when you're done registering! We'll be waiting.]

Dungeons Are Bad Business
Vee Vales has been kicked out of his home and directed to make his own way in the world. Along with his friend Alforde Armorsoul, Vee travels to the city of Oar's Crest. Once a prosperous and well-to-do city, Oar's Crest has fallen into depression and disrepair. After finding a strange stone that takes up residence in a tattered top hat and introduces itself as Reginald, Vee and Alforde decide to open a dungeon in Oar's Crest to revitalize the city and, more importantly, make some fleurs. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: Dungeons are Bad Business (DABB) is a slow burn slice-of-life dungeon core litRPG citybuilder that's focused on the day to day experience of running a dungeon. There will be some action, but it won't be the focus of the story and Vee and his friends will usually overcome their problems with their minds and their pocketbooks instead of their weapons. Since I'm participating in the writeathon, I will probably be uploading chapters almost daily for the duration of the event. Thanks for reading!

Joie de Vivre
A modern man chased immortality and found it. In a mixture of good and bad luck, he was re-born as part of the Uzumaki clan from the Naruto-verse, some few years before their scheduled destruction. But if Daichi were the sort to allow a little thing like fate to get in his way, he'd never have survived in the first place. Dedicated, intelligent, chock full of ideas from a technologically advanced society, and perfectly willing to scorch the earth, he sets out to avert history. Can he avert canon, save the Uzumaki, and forge his people into a mighty nation? Or will he fail, dooming his clan to extinction? At the end of the day, all he wants is a good life. And considering even Death itself didn't stop him, he pities whoever gets in his way. ================== Tags: Naruto, Reincarnation, OC, eventual multi-cross. ================== Author's (Brief) Note: Back by popular demand. This was my first significant fanfic (and fic in general). I wasn't happy with the writing as time went on, and took it down, but years later am still getting requests to put it back up so I guess some people liked it. Newly re-released as I finish some minor editing, there are about 100,000 words (~360 RRL pages) already written, so releases should be fast until I catch up with the backlog. That said, it may languish in hiatus at that point if the interest isn't high enough to merit continuing, so if you're the type to only read finished stories (or ones where the author promises to do so), I am very specifically not promising that. On the other hand, if enough people read, like, review, comment, rate, etc. then it will get added to my writing schedule. Generally, the character is based on a “how badass could someone who hasn't done ridiculously crazy shit be? Or, how does someone with the potential, in another setting, with a lot of luck, to be a badass act and develop as a modern, productive member of society? And then how would they deal with the Naruto-verse?” Please, please do not judge my writing by this. Unless you really like it, in which case fine, do, but recognize my other writing is likely better (unless it’s that one MTG/ASoIaF/SW fic I did over on SB as a speed-writing experiment, which is also pretty terrible).

Earth's First Dungeon
Reginald Montgomery was a high class Rules Lawyer, specializing in the 'art' of Min-Maxing a Character. He had been the secret behind the ability of the Guild 'Eternal Gamer' being able to obtain the World First Clears of various MMOs for the last five years. The political entities of the world had hidden the imminent approach of a gigantic meteor, of similar size to the one that theoretically wiped out the dinosaurs, until it was able to be spotted by high powered astronomical telescopes. The United Nations sends nukes into a crater located deep on the meteor, breaking it into millions of smaller fragments, except for around two areas, where there was a building that looked like an old school Roman temple and one where there was a giant metallic cube. The cube crashed into Reginald's backyard, and his 'gamer' senses were itching at the chance of supremely valuable loot. Upon investigating, he is injected with a control crystal for a 'Construction Core', but when it releases an extremely high density of pressurized mana, his body seizes up and the Core draws his mind into it before merging the control crystal back into the Core and retreating into the Cube and digging itself deeper. Two months later, Reginald becomes aware again, only to find out that nothing is as it was and he is now the Earth's First Dungeon...
