《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 24 - Look of Judgement

“Who the fuck are these assholes?” A vampire says as he watches three people dressed as superheroes enter the room.
“The Love Police, bitch.” Taylor says as he rushes in and punches the man. The man blocks with his arms, but the white light on Taylor's fist engulfs him and deletes most of his body.
“You didn't time your comeback.” Jesse comments from behind, a little disappointed.
“What are you, the comeback police? I tried to time it as best I could.” Taylor says with some disgruntlement.
“Can you two stop messing around and get to work.” Sylvie says with a glare.
“Yes, mom.” The two respond before moving forward to find their targets.
...
…
The trio fought their way through a couple hallways before finding themselves in an inner chamber. There were a bunch of random people tied up on the ground and several people were helping to untie them.
A crowman greets the superhero trio and raises an eyebrow at the costumes before deciding to ignore it. Taylor recognized him as the black-winged Gregory from his first vampire meeting. “It’s done.” Gregory says, causing Taylor’s shoulders to slump. “The ones here are the survivors, as for the ones who were in the process of turning… They’ve been taken care of.” The man says, avoiding the grisly details.
“Well, fuck. Does that mean the job’s done, then? Can we go home?” Taylor asks, not quite getting it all of it out his system.
“I’m told you owe the Demon Heart vampires a few more jobs, so it's possible you’ll be called in. But the war is starting to calm; the Mountain Climbers have grown quiet and we think they’re preparing to start the ritual to crown Hanz the Vampire King. Unless we find their base or the place for the ritual, it’s unlikely you’ll be called in again.” Gregory explains. “You might as well take this time to rest. A big fight is probably coming up soon…” He says, expressing his understanding of it.

“Ugh…” Taylor says, not liking the sound of that. This fight seemed like it would be on a bigger level than he was capable of. “Can we say no to the big battle? You guys probably don’t need us anyway.” Taylor says, looking for a way out.
“Your friends can probably stay out of it. But for you, I imagine you’ll have to partake, unless you want to owe the Demon Heart vampires a blood debt.” Gregory says with a grin.
“Well, fuck.” Taylor exclaims, feeling reluctant to be part of a big battle. This seems like one of those things where you can get killed just from the aftereffects of a boss battle… Taylor thinks with some worry.
“Don’t worry, Taylor. I’ll be there for you.” Jesse says with a pat to Taylor’s shoulder.
Taylor chuckles bitterly. “Nah, you should probably stay home. Thanks though. I appreciate the thought.” He says with a sigh. Some assistance would be nice, but I’d rather not risk anyone close to me. Taylor thinks to himself. Unfortunately, he didn’t have anyone else in mind to drag along either.
“Do you want me to come?” Sylvie asks with some worry.
Taylor smiles. “Nah, take care of little Johnny. I’ll just go and hide in a corner somewhere, waiting for the battle to pass.” Taylor says, ignoring the look of judgement that Gregory was giving him. “Anyways, that’s for me to worry about later. For now… Victory threesome?” Taylor says with an expecting smile.
Sylvie chuckles. “Fine. We might as well.” She says with a sigh, feigning reluctance.
“At least ask for my permission first.” Jesse says with a shake of her head.
“You guys are fucking gross.” Gregory says, his look of judgement now focused on all three of them. “And why the fuck are you all in spandex anyway? This isn’t a comic book convention.” He says with disgruntlement before turning and walking away. “Dirty little sinners…” He mumbles as he leaves, his black wings twitching along with his emotions.

Ocean Attuned - A timeloop LitRPG
In the mids of industrialization, Liana, a girl of almost twelve, awakens her flow and follows her newly awakened calling, the ocean, and thus the path of the last remaining god. With the advent of industry, one's status and the accompanying skills slowly grow to be secondary as people choose more recreational skills and classes. The clear exception are flow bringers. Humans with an increased affinity towards flow and attunements are the only real remnants of the age of gods and mysticism. Terrors on the battlefield, saints in hospitals, saviours during drought, are just some examples of the wonderous abilities they display. As civilization grows less dangerous so does the stress that is often associated with the awakening of the flow reduce and only the real talents remain. Please be aware that this is a first draft at best. Tag/Genre analysis: Action: A theme that will appear in the story at some point (probably 15+ chapters in) Adventure: Yes Fantasy: Yes Magic, Beasts, and other fantastical elements are totally at home here. Tragedy: Life is not always fun. For what is fun when there are no downsides. I don't know how heavily I am going to lean into this genre. I want to but don't expect too much. Loop: Yes, though I will not divulge anything else. Just be aware that there isn't nearly as much looping as in MoL for example. Female Lead: Yes, Liana is female. Dungeon: Yes, there are dungeons. Yes, they will get explored. LitRPG: Yes, read the first chapter if you want an example. Magic: most definitely because who doesn't like calling lighting down from the heavens. (Disclaimer: No actual lightning will be called down from the heavens) Mythos: There are gods. So maybe, I don't know if that is enough to qualify? Progression: yes Slice of Life: There is plot, and the story will mostly be about that plot, but there will also be downtime because there can't always be action. The first "loop" especially the first 20-30 chapters will be heavily SoL. And afterward there will be a lot less. Profanity: The ocean (see title) includes sailors and we all know how the stereotypical sailor is. Gore: Hmmm, some but I will have it be not graphic at all.

The Solipsist
Every novel needs a main character, and in this case, it's a young man named Jacob Bates. Jacob is your average guy who likes books, television, and long walks on the beach. One day, Jacob was diagnosed with a condition that made his body frail and weak. This drove Jacob to focus solely on his studies, ending up becoming a fairly capable guy, despite his condition. The road ahead was looking great! That's when a little scene occurred between Jacob's girlfriend and one of his male classmates. Jacob's mood was a little lower than dirt from thereon. His motivation to pursue his studies, gone. This event caused Jacob to fall into the death grip that is a job in retail. One day, while Jacob was mopping the cold floors of the grocery store he worked in, a strange blue screen appeared in front of him, notifying him that the world was going through a change. Now if this change was a good or bad thing, he didn't know. But there was one thing Jacob knew for certain. He didn't have to mop the floors anymore. Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
