《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 37 - Animals

“It's going to be a girl?” Taylor says with a blank stare as the life of this baby girl flashes through his eyes. “No, no, no, no.” Taylor exclaims as he begins to panic, pacing back and forth as he tries to control his anxiety. “No, no, no. You gotta abort this baby. I can't have a daughter. I just can't.” Taylor says, his anxiety leaking out of his voice.
Jesse watches Taylor with a raised eyebrow. “Are you fucking dumb? I'm like 11 weeks in; I'm not going to abort the baby.” Jesse says, wondering why it was even a question.
“You don’t understand, Jesse. You don’t understand.” Taylor says as he grabs onto his head and crouches down.
“What the fuck are you talking about? So what if it’s a girl?” Jesse asks, not seeing the problem.
Taylor stands up and takes a breath to calm down. “Jesse, if it was a boy it’d be a fine. But I can’t do a girl, Jesse I just can’t. This world is not a nice place and I won’t be able to stand it if I raise a daughter just so she can get fucked by it. Men are animals, Jesse. I’m an animal, all my guy friends are animals and I’m pretty sure my son is going to grow up as an animal, which is fine because he’s a boy. But if it was a girl… I just can’t do it. I’m asking you. Please abort the baby.” Taylor tries to explain his particular worries.
“Are you fucking dumb? So what if she gets fucked by world? She’ll find a good husband, suck some dick, and maybe have a daughter of her own one day. So what? It’s just life, Taylor. Relax.” Jesse says, somewhat amused by the matter. “Anyways, I’m not aborting the baby. My decision is final.” She says firmly; she wasn’t going to deny a life just because of her baby’s father was worried about something dumb.

“Ughhmmmm…” Taylor hums, suppressing his anxiety, unsure of how else to express himself. “God fucking dammit!” Taylor says as he exits the room and slams the door.
…
…
Taylor held the crying baby in his arms and sighs. I just know… I’m going to have to murder someone one day because of this baby girl… Taylor thinks with a sigh. He really didn’t expect anything good from the world. There were traps and predators at every step. It really wasn’t the place to be innocent. If it was his son, Taylor wouldn’t care; Taylor would prefer it if he grew up fighting and clawing for every piece of territory he could take. But if it was for a daughter… Taylor couldn’t stand to let her grow up that way. He would have to devote so much of himself just to keep her safe and comfortable, which was something Taylor didn’t care to sacrifice, especially since he was likely to fail in protecting her. But now that she was born… I have to fucking try… Taylor thinks with a sigh, once again mourning for his life. It’s going to hurt like a bitch when she starts dating… And I’m pretty sure she’s going to hate me for being overprotective… Taylor thinks with a groan.
