“So how was it?” Daryl asks with a smile.
“How was it? You mean life?” Taylor asks as he looks back on the last few years since he saw Daryl. Taylor smiles. “How do you think it was? It's life. I got pretty high a few times, I made a few turns, and I crashed pretty hard at one point. But you know how it is; always looking forward. How's the vampire life been? Or never mind that; how's the girl been? I'm more curious about that. For a couple, you two seemed to go all out for each other.” Taylor says, recalling his impression of the two.
Daryl lets out a sigh as he thinks about it. “Annie’s… Well, she’s Annie. She’s the best and I lucked out, man. The problem is me.” He says with a shake of his head, feeling some shame.
Taylor chuckles. “Why? What’s wrong?” He asks, curious. When I last saw him, his new life had just started… I wonder how it went… He thinks, his mind wandering.
Daryl chugs the last of his beer. “What do you think is wrong, Taylor? I’m a vampire! A goddamn vampire! I can’t fucking control myself!” He exclaims, his frustration finding a little release. “Annie, she’s… My god, Taylor, I don’t deserve her. I actually love her so much it hurts. But whenever I hear her mention another guy or if I see her glance the wrong way at one, I just can’t… I can’t fucking control myself, Taylor. I’ve tried to express it in different ways; I’ve yelled at her, I’d go to another room to masturbate, and I even raised my hand at her. She was so offended that she beat me within an inch of my life. Werewolves, Taylor. They don’t fuck around. I just thank god she tell her family. Anyways, she told me to come back when I’ve grown up. So I’m back. Trying to grow the fuck up.” He says as he grabs Taylor’s beer and takes a big chug.

“Fuck.” Taylor says, unable to hide a smile. “That sounds like a rollercoaster.” He says with a chuckle. “Life, right?” He says, amusement on his face.
“Fuckin’ life man. It fucks you and leaves you begging for more. What can I say? I’m a slut.” Daryl says as he finishes the beer. “Fuck, we need something stronger than this.” He says as he looks around. “Who’s the newest gang leader around here? Someone tell that bastard to get me a bottle of scotch!” He yells with no consideration.
Taylor continues to chuckle. “Fuckin’ vampires, man. You guys are wild.” He says with a smile.
