《Old Cultivation Record》Chapter 1 - Slap This Guy

“What do you think if this world, Taylor?” Hanz asks as he lounged on his thrown with his face resting on his hand.
“Ugh…” Taylor hums, stalling for time. Why did this asshole call me here? Just to bullshit? Taylor thinks with some irritation. “It's the world. What can I even say about it? It is what it is.” Taylor says, hoping he was vague enough to not indicate anything. Last thing I want is for me to have the wrong opinion. God forbid. He thinks, a smile unconsciously appearing on his face.
“You're smiling.” Hanz notices, causing an eyebrow to raise. “Is that happiness? Do you like this world?” He asks, his expression still looking bored.
Fuck. Taylor exclaims in his mind. Poker face, Taylor. Poker face. He thinks, hoping to avoid any traps. “I guess, yeah, the world has its good points. I mean, there’s a lot of happiness to be found for the patient and the sincere. As for the happiness of sinners… Then yeah, I guess the world is a pretty shitty place too.” He says honestly while trying not to lean one way or the other.
Hanz eyes open wide and a smile forms on his lips. “You and I are kindred spirits, Taylor. You’re right! There is a lot of good to be found in this place. But everything is mired in shit and heaven is hiding. But I won’t lose hope, Taylor. One day, I hope to see it. A perfect world.” Hanz says as some fervor finds its way into his eyes.
Some sweat begins to pour out of Taylor’s forehead. Yup. Those were the first words of a supervillain. I need to get the fuck out here. He thinks with some anxiety. “But the shit isn’t too bad sometimes, right? I mean sure it smells, but how else would there be room for everyone? The difference in people’s choices and what they do with their freedom; it’s beautiful if you think about how it all fits together. Right?” Taylor says with an uneasy smile.

Hanz lets out a sigh. “You’re not wrong, Taylor. If I was being honest, I’m impressed with the world. And if there’s a god, whatever’s looking down on us is definitely a genius. But I just can’t shake this feeling…” Hanz says, looking like there was something on the tip of his tongue that he wanted to get out.
Taylor gulps. “What feeling, Hanz?” He forces himself to say, hoping for something even half-way decent. Don’t go down this path, Hanz. It’s retarded. Just this conversation is retarded. I’d very much like to go now. He thinks with hurried thoughts as his anxiety build.
“This feeling… This feeling that I could do better.” Hanz says as he looks to the distance with shining eyes.
Tayloe unconsciously puts his hand on his head. Oh god. He said it. This bastard said it. Fucking shit. I just know this is going to be a thing. He thinks with some exasperation. “I’m ugh… Going to go, Hanz. I have ugh… Some work to catch up on.” He says, disregarding the possible disrespect. Fuck disrespect. I’d slap this guy if I could. He thinks as he exhales a breath.
Hanz opens his eyes. “Oh, you’re right. Where are my manners. You may go. But mark my words and wait for it, Taylor. One day I’ll let you see it. And it will be glorious.” He says before breaking out into a laughter.
Taylor gulps again. Yup. That’s a supervillain laugh. I’m just going to go. I hope this guy trips and falls into hell. Fuckin’ bastard. He thinks before turning around and deciding to ignore whatever Hanz had going on.

The life of a teenage hellworlder
We've all heard of the trope that Earth is a deadly planet by galactic standard; and has thus honed humanity into a ruthless species bent on surviving at all costs. As it turns out, that trope is true. Sapient species that evolve on safe planets develop to be peaceful and compassionate - and the ones that do on dangerous ones become violent and selfish out of need - usually wiping themselves out. But obviously, not every violent species drives itself to extinction - resulting in them being feared and ostracized - including humans. The life of a teenage hellworlder is a sci-fi slice of life story that revolves mainly around Thomas, a sixteen-year-old New Britannian attending a Xeno high school, who befriends a lonely apex predator named Javqua. Getting written by two amateur teen writers, things may sometimes be inconsistent or be confusing - feel free to comment and point out these problems. Gore, profanity, and traumatizing content tags are only for minor events in the story and do not happen often. Chapters are around 1k - 2k words - pretty short, but that's because we're all busy with our own lives and school. Trust us - we would gladly upload 5k word chapters if we could. We tend to upload new chapters every Saturday or Sunday. Please consider supporting us on Patreon!
