Episode 60 - Tears of healing 6 ‘A Fluffy Day! 4’

Fall wind blew through the Veria family members with a powerful passion, scattering leaves that had fallen all over them. It was as if the wind knew when to blow when things got awkward between Eugene and Aernest.

‘Can’t follow?’

This thought popped into Aernest’s mind when Eugene wasn’t following and understanding his inner mind.

Being the best brother that he can, Aernest of course had to give his ‘unable’ sister a helping hand so that she could walk right? Looking around past the leaves apocalypse, he locked onto his ‘target’ and ran towards it. Bowing over with his big belly, he grabbed his target and once again ran in front of his ‘unable’ sister who wasn’t paying him any attention.

“-cough-... Neia!”

Aernest yelled out really loudly, startling everyone who thought he was mad at Eugene for ignoring him. Of course, that wasn’t the case, he just couldn't hear himself due to the headphones he was wearing.

Before anyone could ‘calm’ him down, Aernest held out his captured target and handed it out to Eugene. His meaning is simple; Grab the end of the stick and follow me!

‘Grab the stick?’

Eugene looked at Aernest with her eyebrows raised.

Having an inkling of what Aernest wanted to do, Eugene slowly raised both hands up to carefully grab the stick. Although wobbly at first, Eugene felt more stable because of the support!

‘I will be able to walk again!’

A rush of adrenaline coursed throughout Eugene’s body, raising her little tiny feet up and stomping it in front of her.

Stable!

‘A little more!’

With courage and the same foot, she raised it up again and stepped out.

1 step!

Smiling at Eugene’s accomplishment, Aernest mood immediately lightened! His sister wasn’t so stupid after all!

Nodding in approval, Aernest watched Eugene’s every move and reaction, before taking one step backward.

“!!”

Wobbling because of the sudden pull, Eugene was almost too powerless to stop her fall. The step was too big! Glancing at Aernest, she pulled the stick back towards her to stabilize herself.

Understanding that Eugene almost fell because of him, Aernest this time stood still and waited for his sister to take another step herself.

‘....Alright..’

Although her heavy head was a bit troublesome, it’s only a matter of time before she could ignore her heavy upper body and walk with ease! Taking a deep breath in, Eugene once again took a small step forward towards Aernest.

2 Steps!

“.....” (Louis)

“Wow! Eugeneia!”

Ramon clapped to encourage Eugene! Also surprised that she really beat Louis!

“Aernest is such an understanding child!”

Moniqua, Levis, and Euria followed Ramon’s example and also excitedly clapped for Eugene!

This was more than a miracle!

‘I can do it!’

Eugene’s heart eased by a ton, feeling a sense of accomplishment.

Ever since coming to this world, she was limited to many things. It was as if she was stuck to a shell that was glued to her like cement.

However, at this moment, it felt as if the shell that was attached to herself was crumbling down! She was regaining back her freedom of movement!

Looking over at Aernest, her lips couldn’t help but unconsciously rise up by a millimeter…

Aernest and Eugene then slowly repeated the steps over and over again until Eugene slowly let go of the stick herself.

“Is she going to do it?”

Levis couldn’t help but look forward to his daughter smashing Louis’s accomplishment to the ground!

“If she does, she should take over the house of Veria as the Duchess...”

Moniqua unconsciously blurted out.

“Well…”

Levis hesitated. A bloodbath war between siblings isn’t something he would ever want his children to go through.

“......”

‘.... What are they all thinking of?!?’

All sense of accomplishment immediately left Eugene, staring at Moniqua and Levis in utter confusion. Just because she could walk, they were thinking of such a scary future?!

Taking a position in the Veria family would mean herself acknowledging that she was a family member of the Veria family! Although she has accepted that she has been reborn, she still hasn’t fully accepted the fact that she was someone's daughter and someone’s sister yet alright? That’s just like asking a Vegan person to start eating meat again!

It’s not as easy as it seems okay?!

Eugene attempted to shake her head to indicate that she wanted no such thing! However, ceased when she realized that shaking her heavy head might be a factor that fails her at her attempt in walking without support!

‘Calm the mind Eugene’

Calming herself down, and with great mental determination along with many supportive cheering, she took her first step without the help of Aernest.

Her hands clenching right by her side as tiny sweat started to fall down from her kind-of-bald head, she took her second step.

Success!!

“Eugeneiaa!!!”

Moniqua and Ramon cheered! Happiness overwhelming the two as they watched Eugene take her first two steps!

“Neiaa~~”

Euria cheered with her mother and brother, laughing happily at her elder sister!

“As expected of our child!”

Levis squeezed Moniqua's waist in excitement! Watching all his children growing up so fast in a speed of light still to this day flabbergasts him. It was touching, yet still carried a hint of bittersweetness.

“.. En!”

Aernest nodded in acknowledgment of his sister! Motioning Eugene to follow him, he turned around so that his back faced Eugene and slowly walked forward!

Step.

Eugene followed Aernest ever so slowly. Controlling her heavy head to stay still whilst at the same time concentrating hard on moving her two feet. Her small body steadily walked towards the unknown future.
