Episode 64 - The Knights Destiny ‘It’s a Butt!‘
The fourth month
Empty trees stand lonesome without a color, reaching high up in the sky to absorb as much sunlight as they possibly could. All leaves have fallen, leaving trees empty and for the stems to fend on its own. Below the tree, the sweet crips of burnt leaves were dancing together with the wind to create a very magical flow, saying goodbye to the world as they left for their final destination.
Summer has officially ended with the fall of life, and with the end begins a new start for people of the Veria estate, as the one person everyone has been waiting for has finally woke up.
With a funny start…
The first scene Aeselak saw when she opened her eyes was darkness. With the darkness came a slight funky scent of… urine. Everyone thought Aeselak would wake up to everyone’s smiling face congratulation her on waking up but NO! There was a serious mishap on that plan! Who would have imagined, the first scene Aeselak would see upon waking up for the first time in 4 months was Aernest’s butt!
When she realized what the darkness she saw was, her first words too, involved the word butt!
“A...h. It’s a... butt…”
And that was Aeselak’s beginning of her new journey!
To everyone’s relief, Aeselak did not have any problems with recalling her previous memories or did not have PTSD.
PTSD is a post-traumatic-stress-disorder that people go through when experiencing traumatic events. This mental issue was first recognized to the world when Soldiers who went through war started having severe anxiety, going without sleep for weeks, and then eventually killing themselves from the accumulated stress. The aristocrats in Xenperia took this matter seriously and established a system for the soldiers who have enlisted in the war, to go through numerous therapies before sending them back into society once again.
From that, doctors started practicing therapy for traumatic patients and this included Adele Graeme who made sure none of the Great Noble children have PTSD by having the children visit her house once a week for a talking session. To her relief and surprise, Aeselak was alright and treated what happened to her as a passing event.

Having been asleep for 4 months, however, took an immense toll on her physical health. Aeselak had to slowly ease in with liquid food before being able to normally eat again. She too had to slowly go through physical therapy to be able to walk again and to be able to carry out daily physical activities because of her weakened state. Although challenging, it was what she had to do in order to work and live normally again!
What was most surprising to Aeselak when she was able to serve the twins again was how fast the twins grew! The 3-months-old twins, she took care of since they were born turned 7-months-old all of a sudden! To Aeselak, the twins were only able to sit up without support just yesterday! However, now, the two were able to walk freely around the room without any problem! Time passing by in a blink of an eye was terrifying!
Not being able to witness the twins achieving feat after feats herself, many people came up to her to brag about how they were able to witness the twin’s achievement! This included the rumor of Louis handing over his future Duke title to Eugene! Not only was Aeselak shocked frozen, she felt as if she had woken up to a different world! Her colleagues went on to tell Aeselak how Euria would prevent Eugene from walking because she herself couldn’t. So with no choice, Eugene had to help Euria walk as well before she could go on her exploring adventure. Euria being an incredibly fast learner only took 5 falls, before she could walk! And this was the legend of how the twins were able to walk at 6-months-old!
Eugene and Euria have recently been incorporating solids into their food. The first time Eugene saw her solid food, she was outraged and mortified because the food looked like something made in hell! It even had an aura of its own, showcasing the path to death for those who consumed it! However, upon trying, the solid food did not taste as bad as it looked. It mostly tasted bland with a tiny hint of sweetness.

To ensure that she gets used to her new body, every day, Eugene would do a mini exercise. This included at least 10 squads and 10 seconds of planks every single day! To Eugene’s surprise, Euria never followed or bothered her when she exercises daily. This made Eugene think that Euria was growing up to be independent, this thought however wasn’t shared with Euria. Euria dislikes planks and squads because it made her very tired hence she would rather watch Eugene do her daily ’dances’ than do it herself.
To pass time and gain knowledge, Eugene would go watch Ramon’s daily training. She would spy him from under the shades, and remember the instructor’s instructions. Skipping the sword training itself, she would remember the basic body training to help her with her daily training. After training, she would go bother Louis by watching and studying along with him and his teacher. Eugene would sit in the middle of Louis and his’ teacher whilst Euria would fall asleep on Eugene’s lap from boredom.
Sometimes, when Eugene didn’t have anything to do, she would observe the world she is currently living in. This includes having suspicions that she has been reborn into the past, however at the same time, she knew that Xenperia was a country that did not exist in the map or history of her former world.
Yet although it did not exist, according to Louis’ study books, the social hierarchy system her former world used to implement back in the days, is being used here. In this world, there are aristocrats, and below them were commoners. Women’s basic moral code in this time period are the Three Obediences and two Virtues.
Being from a world where she was able to do anything she wanted, and never had to think about getting married, the women’s way of life here was what puts her off the most. To be stipped off her freedom of those rights is not acceptable to Eugene. And for that, she will need to find a way to escape from this system, even if it meant using the Veria family and possibly abandoning them in the future.
“Abandoning…”
Eugene deeply exhaled. Will that even be possible? Will she have the heart to do that? She sighed as she glanced at Euria staring at her.
Her 7 months of living in this world may seem short, but contrary to expectations, Eugene felt as if she has been living in this world for years. Without herself knowing, she has been slowly accepting her new life as a baby and slowly putting aside her former life as an A-list Actress to the back of her head because after all, her career is useless in this world!
Even now, she still didn’t understand why she reincarnated or retained her former memories of her past life. But if she was going to live here, she will have to invest and prepare for her future, the sooner the better. Unlike her former world, this world smells suspicious, as if something dangerous was lurking around. As if something major could happen at any given time! She couldn’t guarantee an incident like 4 months ago won’t occur again because the Veria family has a close relationship with the Imperial family.
That’s why she has to prepare for the future. And if she doesn’t want to die again, knowing martial arts and being able to defend herself is a must. To do this, she will have to study the Veria’s martial arts style and remember everything about her former family that she hated so much.
To fight for her future.
“Fight...”
Eugene unconsciously muttered.
“Fight!”
Euria repeated, using her 2 teeth to smile.
