《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Beginnings - Part Fourteen

Scott Langston stood in front of the old battered door of a first-floor apartment building in Farringdon. If he had opened the door it would open up to a small family enjoying dinner but instead, he inserted a key into the lock on the door and turned it to lock the door. Instead of a click of the lock, he heard a cackle that still freaked him out but it signaled that if he knocked on the door, Iscarat would hear the knock instead of the family. So he knocked and after a moment filled with the sound of a thousand bolt locks being slid away, the door opened.
Standing in front of him was a very annoyed and tired Iscarat. “What did I tell you? You have been gone an hour and a half my time. I need my bloody sleep.” he said angrily.
“I know and I apologize. It was urgent I spoke with you.”
“What could be that important?” he asked grouchily.
“We were attacked and the kid was injured by a changeling.”
“Did you take him to the witch?”
“Yes, he should be fine. Although he would have died otherwise.”
“I feel like death would have been better for him than leaving him with the witch.”
“Don’t worry, he passed her test. She will go easy on him. I hope.” the two sighed as if to give their condolences. Before Iscarat gave him a groggy but stern look. “But you didn’t come here just because of that. There’s more.”
“Yep, that changeling might be in a scheme against the Succubi made by a splinter group of the Leprechauns.”
“So, why should I care about that? Take that to your higher-ups. It’s none of my bloody business that a brothel and bank are at war.”

“The masked man was there too.” he finally said.
“...” Iscarat just stood there contemplating the words that left Scott’s mouth.
“He saved me and the kid from the changeling. Then he disappeared before my eyes, unlike any supernatural being I’ve ever seen.”
“If the masked man has appeared again then something big is about to happen here with the Agency. Every time he has appeared throughout history the Agency has suffered some kind of loss. So, before you say it was the masked man. Are you sure it was him?”
“Yes, the mask matched the paintings and descriptions to the letter.”
“Then we should do nothing except protect ourselves.” he said, climbing back into bed.
“What the hell!” Scott yelled, grabbing him and tossing him out of bed. “What do you mean nothing? We should tell the Agency at least.”
Iscarat got up from the floor dazed and stared him in the eyes as he tried climbing back into bed again. “Every time the masked man has appeared the Agency takes action, only to lose more than if they did nothing. So we should do nothing. It could be related to Mr.Barrett and his time travel accident or it could be completely unrelated. Who knows, just protect yourselves and don’t worry.”
“Fine, but the Agency needs to know about this little war. I spoke to Mama Louise about the situation and she had one of her own executed in front of me to show that war was beginning, although the one she executed was a traitor. Though, I did not want to see that. She is a terrifying lady.”
“So are you when you need to be.” Iscarat said with a yawn as he got snug underneath his blanket.
“Well, I will see you in a fortnight, my sleepy friend.” Scott said as he got up and left, shutting the door behind him and taking his key from the lock. Returning the door to that of the family who was behind it now cleaning up from their meal.

The boy who fell in love with a tree
This is a story about a boy who fell in love with a tree… A story about powerful people changing the rulebook to stack the odds and line their pockets… I aim to create a story that will transport us so we get a glimpse of what that boy felt. The first 4 Chapters might be classified as a prologue depending on how you look at it. The boy quickly grows and the story really starts when the System arrives on Earth. I’m trying to achieve a relatively slow power progression and guide what we learn at a pace following the people in the story. There will be fighting but It’s more focused on base building. The MC is not all-powerful and all-knowing but he has some significant advantages. I’m trying to create a universe that makes sense in its own context. Much of what you will find, are my own world views, in a magnified way, as to make it for interesting fiction. The story took a life of its own when I started to write and I’m really happy with it. Not all of the tags I have marked will immediately be applied. There is stuff planned for far in the future such as the Sci-fi tag. There might be some cursing and gore but it is not very often. -------------- English is not my primary language, so I ask everyone to be forgiving. If you see a glaring error I would appreciate a msg but it is not feasible to fix everything. And if the story offends you, I wish you happiness, reading what you enjoy. ------------- Img link: https://unsplash.com/photos/EwKXn5CapA4

These are concepts of outtakes/bloopers that could've been the perfect form of comedy and could've saved the Mixels show.
