“An Elder Ones power you say? That would explain how he was injured. Do you know which Elder One?” Mordred asked.

“Yes, it was Freya. The Norse war goddess.”

“That is disturbing.”

“How so?”

“Freya was the one who crafted all of the swords for the knight of the round table. We all knew of her as the Lady of the Lake.”

“But someone inherited her power.”

“That power was supposed to be inherited by Merlin since he was closest with her but since he already had the power of his father he couldn’t have another it seemed.”

“So who inherited it?”

“Nobody knows. We have no idea how they work and neither do the Elder Ones.”

“So even now we can’t figure out who it was that attacked us?”

“All you can do is wait. On the other hand, after your encounter with the dwarf named Reuben Reubin Merlin and a few others went to talk with him and we found all of the Willowisps destroyed and Reuben impaled on a spear.”

“That doesn’t seem like good news to me.”

“It wasn’t supposed to be. I am simply telling you the truth. We are sorry that he is dead but we were able to take his entire library into our possession.”

“That seems a little rude to take all of that. Doesn’t it?”

“Yes, but it will aid us. I bet you have probably heard that we are low on funds. It’s why Scott is the only Agent in all of London.”

“What about Iscarat and Elysif?”

“Iscarat is more or less on our watch list and Scott is making sure he stays out of trouble. As for Elysif, she does work on the side and is mainly supported through Scott’s funding.”

“Why does Scott fund her if she isn’t an agent?”

“She is technically his adopted sister in-law. His wife had a strange habit of picking up children and forcing her father to adopt them. Director Compton was one of them and so was Scott, however Scott’s case was a little different.”

“Okay, I think I get it now.”

“Before I forget, I have been meaning to ask you how you defeated someone with an Elder Ones power?”

“We… didn’t.”

“Excuse me, how did you survive then?”

“The original Masked man showed up and killed him within a few minutes.” I said. Mordred stared at me with cold eyes. She didn’t say anything and I felt as if she was about to explode.

“Did you see him?”

“What?”

“Did you see him?”

“No, I was unconscious in the canal when he showed up.”

“Then who saw him.”

“Iscarat and Scott. They told me about him when I woke up.”

“Did he wield a sword?”

“Uh, yes and he had glowing armor on his forearms and lower legs.”

“So it is him.” she said to herself then called over one of the other agents in the room.”go fetch Merlin and tell him it’s urgent.”

“But Merlin is currently in the study hall helping sort through the books collected from the dwarven home.” the agent replied.

“Did I stutter? Fetch him now.” Mordred yelled. The agent ran off looking terribly frightened. “Now, Mr.Barrett I will be accompanying you on your return to London and before we leave we shall also give you a messenger bird since we forgot to give you one during your last visit. Is there anything you need while you are here?”

“Just a few more silver bullets will do.” I said
