《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Beginnings - Part Ninety-Seven

Merlin arrived within a few minutes with bags under his eyes. He was carrying a book in his hands and seemed to be teetering from side to side. His actions made me think that he hadn’t slept in days. “What is it, Mordred? You know I am busy at the moment.” he said.
“I understand, but I thought I would let you know that I am taking my leave to London so you will have to take control for a day or two.” Mordred replied.
“Wait a moment. Please tell me this doesn’t have anything to do with the masked man? Also I am up to my waist in books that need sorted, I don’t have time to look after the whole Agency while you’re away.”
“It does in fact have to do with the masked man but all I am doing is following up on a lead. You’ll be fine for a day or two without me.”
“Don’t you think it’s time you stopped thinking about that man?” Merlin asked. Mordred gave him a stare that I had never seen on anyone before and I definitely didn’t believe I would ever see it on Mordred’s face. It was of pure blind rage. She wasn’t entirely sane.
“Did you forget what he did? How he killed my father, your friend. He lied to us, to me and made us think he was an ally.”
“I just think we need to focus on the Agency for now and not on Micheal-”
“Do not ever mention his name. He is the masked man and we never knew him by anything else.”
“I am sorry. Go do what you must. I will do my best to take care of things here.” Merlin said before walking off.

“I’m sorry you had to witness that.” Mordred said turning to me. I wasn’t sure how to respond to her. Scott was right about that being a touchy subject.
“No, it’s fine. Shall we get what we need and head to London then?”
“Yes, of course.”
After that I was given a messenger bird. I was expecting a hawk. Instead I received a pigeon. A fucking pigeon. However I wasn’t going to complain since Mordred seemed to be in state of mind that anything would set her off. We boarded the train and received a few complaints about the bird. The rest of the trip was relatively easy. I explained the entire situation to Mordred starting with me getting captured and ending with our big fight.
She was very interested in the whole scenario but after finishing the story we had some idle chatter. After all that she fell asleep. I guess running an organization would make anyone tired. I hope Merlin does okay by himself. He seemed rather tired already. When the train finally arrived in London I woke up Mordred whom I realized very quickly wasn’t the type of person who was in a good mood directly after waking up.
We continued to the apartment which she was surprised to see. She seemed rather disturbed by how the outside of our building looked like it was a crack house. The inside wasn’t looking much better either. The stairs were rotting and the floorboards had holes in them. However the living spaces were still nice and livable. This building wouldn’t be sanctioned as livable in modern day but it still worked.
I opened the door of our apartment to see Scott on the couch asleep. His left arm was in a sling and his right hand was wrapped in bandages. I walked over and slapped him on his good shoulder. He opened his eyes in surprise and looked at me.

“I didn’t expect you to be back until tomorrow you bastard. What are you doing back so early?” he asked.
“Someone wanted to talk to you and insisted on coming urgently.” I said while gesturing over my shoulders at Mordred. Who was standing in the doorway waiting to be welcomed in despite me showing her in before.
“Forgive my inhospitality. Come in. I was unaware that you would be visiting Mordred.”
“You don’t have to be so formal. I am here to inquire about the masked man.”

Musical Land Trilogy
In an alternate universe where famous historical figures are all living in one era and musicals are their every day life, fourteen-year-old Marie Curie has been told that following her passion in science will lead to a future of flipping burgers and waiting tables. As hard as she tries, the arts remain an enigma to her. She is selected to attend Presley High, one of the most prestigious schools in the city, as part of a social experiment to help her grades. With budding geniuses all around her, she feels doomed to be forever an outcast. However, when she stumbles upon a secret which shakes the foundation of Musical Land, she realizes targets from bullies aren't as terrifying as targets from the president of the city. **This is a historical (fan)fiction, so technically I don't own these characters/real life humans. And I also take creative liberties with them, so they're not exactly who they are in real life, but that's what makes it fun!** Chapters every Tuesday and Thursday
