《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Not Forgotten - Part 021

Scott returned to the apartment after visiting a series of stalls in the market for groceries. He also stopped by some of the more recognizable shops to get some canned food while he was there. After making dinner and preparing it for the three of them he waited a few hours before Compton and Silva finally showed up. He gave them both a look of concern and anger when they stumbled in drunk.
"Scott, we can… explain." Compton said drunkenly.
"You went gambling instead of working didn't you?"
"Maybe…" Silva said, also a bit drunkenly before falling on the couch.
"I swear you two are going to make me turn grey before I turn twenty-five."
"You know you love me." Silva said before bopping him on the nose and giggling like a mad woman.
"Anyways, I made dinner but it's cold so deal with it. As soon as you two sober up we all need to talk."
"I think that… you're forgetting that Silva's the leader." Compton said as he sat down at the desk chair.
"Well when she sobers up she can make the logical decisions. Until then I am the only one capable of rational thought. Plus I just want to discuss what we did today so that we are all on the same page."
""Okay."" The both said before eating their cold dinners.
After finally sobering up a little Silva stood up. Scott and Compton both sat on the couch so that they could listen with their full attention. "So I've decided."
"Decided on what?" Scott asked.
"Who is going to the Agency."
"..."
"Compton, you will go to Mordred at the end of the month. Until then you need to get ready and say your goodbyes to anyone you wish."

"Wait! I know you had to choose but you already made a decision. That was way too quick!" Scott interjected.
"I actually didn't make this decision. Compton asked for me to choose him earlier today."
"You were both hungover, and then you got drunk again!"
"It was my decision Scott." Compton said.
"Okay then, I guess I gotta get out the emergency fund and throw you a farewell party." Scott said.
"We have an emergency fund?" Silva asked, a little confused.
“Yes, after a few months of not having much money left for food due to your gambling addiction I started saving a small amount of our budget for an emergency fund. It’s the only reason we could still eat some months. It also has grown a lot over the past several years.” Scott stated.
“How much?” Silva asked.
“What?”
“How much did you save?”
“Several thousand pounds.”
“”...”” Both Silva and Compton stayed where they were unable to speak from the amount he just declared. Compton had been smart enough to do a lot of things and was definitely smarter than Scott but he never thought to save up some money for an emergency like that.
“It’s a lot but like I said it’s for an emergency.”
“But we could have fixed this place up with that kind of money. Every time people from the Agency arrive I get weird looks and usually get scolded for the lack of care.” Silva whined.
“I know and we would have a lot more if you didn’t spend all of it on your gambling addiction!” Scott said.
“Look we have the money and you don’t need to throw me a party. Just use it for something else.” Compton interjected.
“Also I have been getting a lot better with my problem.” Silva said, ignoring Compton.
“Like hell! I bet you just lost a bunch of money today didn’t you?”
“Umm… no, I made a little.”
“Lies!”
“Okay, I am terrible at gin but Compton made a lot!”
“Does it make up for what you lost?”
“... no.”
