《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Not Forgotten - Part 031

A little while earlier…
Scott rolled over in his bed. His eyes opened to see that Silva was gone. Getting up and throwing on a robe he went into the living room to see that Silva wasn’t there either. On the desk though he saw a note, it read:
Dear Scott,
I just wanted to let you know that I’m sorry. I have not been the best teacher nor wife and it’s because I have a secret. I learned of a secret that would destroy the Agency had it seen the light of day under normal circumstances. Thus I formulated a plan with a friend to reveal it without destroying the Agency. Things didn’t go as I had planned though and tonight I will die. I never told you or Compton to protect you both and I plan to keep it that way. Don’t blame yourselves and please take care of Elysif. She has become like a sister to me. I leave everything to you, Scott. You will understand why I had to do this eventually.
Please take care.
Silva
Scott dropped the paper and ran out the door. He only knew of one place she could be so he charged towards Canary Wharf only wearing his night pants and robe. His feet were cold and damp from the wet streets but he didn’t care. As he got closer to the wharf he could hear howling. Knowing that was rare he headed towards it.
By the time he finally reached Silva it was too late though. A pack of werewolves were stepping away from a mass of flesh and bones. A sword he knew all too well lay next to it and a ring which he had bought adorned one of the limp fingers.
“Nooo!” he cried out as he ran towards the fleshy pile. The werewolves which were just on it ran away as quickly as they could. Falling to his knees beside his wife, tears streamed down his face as he desperately tried to hold her hand. Only three of the fingers were still attached and blood soaked around his knees. Her body was completely destroyed but he clung to it and cried like a child.

He didn’t, no he couldn’t move. No matter what he thought all he could do was weep and cry out. Any words that left his mouth were mumbled and unintelligible. For an hour he weeped like this until the police arrived. They found him weeping and knew who it was at an instant. Removing their hats out of respect they stood around and let him continue to cry his heart out. It wasn’t until one of them walked up behind him.
“What did this, Scott?”
Scott raised his head. Tears still ran down his face while he was covered in blood. He hugged the officer and continued to weep for a few moments before answering with pure hatred. “Werewolves.”
“Then I suggest you go get them. This is your jurisdiction. We’ll take care of the body while you find the bastards who did this.”
“Yes sir.” Scott said as he tried to stop crying before walking away.
Scott slammed his fist repeatedly into Iscarat’s door after putting his key in. He could hear Iscarat yelling to stop from the other side but he continued. Iscarat opened the door with a pissed off look plastered on his face, but turned into a face of remorse at the sight of Scott. His night robe was covered in blood and he was still crying but he could tell Scott was enraged.
“What can I do for you boy?”
“Do you still want to try body enhancement magic on me?”
“I mean yes but why the sudden interest?”
“Silva was just murdered. I can’t do anything as I am now to avenge her so I need you to make me stronger.”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea boy. I know better than most that losing a loved one can disturb one’s mind but that doesn’t mean you can't stop thinking rationally-” he spouted before Scott grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall.

“I don’t care! I can’t, no, I will not be able to live after this. Compton left, Silva’s dead, I have no one left. Just let me get my revenge and die already!”
“I see, but what about Elysif and I? You may not realize it but you are not alone. I will do this for you but only on one condition.”
“What?”
“You have to stay alive afterwards. No matter how hard it is, you need to live for our sake. Maybe then you can find something worth living for again.”
“Fine. do what you must.” Scott said, stepping away from Iscarat and taking off his robe.
“Then let us begin.” Iscarat said as he grabbed a scalpel from off his desk and revealed a room full of surgical equipment.
