《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Not Forgotten - Part 032

Scott walked into the surgical room scared but determined. He laid down on the table that sat in the middle of the room like it was a normal thing. Iscarat on the other hand started laying out medical tools which he repeatedly ran over a candle to heat them up. Afterwards he grabbed several solutions from the shelves and began mixing them as the notes he had made and tacked to the wall instructed. Several times during the process he would get mad and throw the mixture away because he got the measurements wrong.
“Alright, now are you sure about this?” Iscarat asked with a concerned look.
“Weren’t you the one who wanted to do this in the first place? Just do it.”
With that Iscarat began drawing marks on his body with an ink brush that didn’t seem to bother him. After several minutes of drawing the runes he set down the ink brush and grabbed the scalpel. Upon doing so he slowly ran the scalpel over the marking he had just made. His skin opened up just enough to show some of his flesh and caused blood to drip out of it. Scott gritted his teeth but was still pushing through. Not once asking for Iscarat to stop.
Once he had traced over each rune with the scalpel he began pouring the mixture he had made before into the cuts. Its blue-ish colour ran through it like a canal. Finally he set the rest of the mixture down and pulled out a match. Lighting it he placed it against the mixture which had set into the cut and it exploded. Scott screamed through the gritting of his teeth as his entire body caught fire. It went out as fast as it caught but Scott was still writhing in pain.

“How do you feel?” Iscarat asked bluntly.
“Like I just got tortured. I bet you're going to tell me that that was only step one.”
“I see your sass hasn’t changed. That’s all, and make sure that if you don’t feel right you need to come to me at once.”
“I understand. Now how do I get it to work?”
“Just focus magic into your limbs. Each of those runes enhance physical attributes such as speed and strength. Like all runes the more emotions backing it the more power you’ll get but you need to make sure you don’t overwork them. If you do you could permanently damage your ligaments or muscle fibers.”
“Got it. Anything else?”
“Yes, if you can’t control these it may affect your health so I would suggest getting that figured out first.”
“Alright then. I have wasted enough time here. Before I go I just wanted to say thank you.”
“Boy, you sound like you're about to go and die on me. Remember what you promised? You have to live past this or else you will not have avenged Silva. Instead you would have trampled the life she wanted to protect.”
“I remember, thanks anyways” Scott said before getting off the surgical table, grabbing his bloodstained robe, and walking out the door.
“Is this really okay, Silva?” Iscarat asked.
“No, it isn’t But it needed to happen.” Silva said stepping into the surgical room from beyond a hidden door. Following behind her was the masked man.
“You know why this is necessary. I wish it didn’t have to be this way either but we had no other choice.” Michael said.
“Well, I hope you’ll be able to explain this to him when the time comes or else you may not be able to handle the repercussions.” Iscarat replied.

Silva leaned back against the wall and slowly lowered herself to the floor where she began cradling her knees. Micheal bent down and placed his hand on her shoulder to try and console her but she slapped it away.
“Don’t act like you can help me. I did this because I needed to and now the one I love is about to commit genocide in my name. You know damn well that I am not some frail flower that needs your pity so don’t even try. Just do what you need to and let’s get out of here.” She said.
“Like I would ever need to pity you. I pity the man who thinks he just lost his wife. I pity the innocent who are about to feel the same pain at his hand. This is not a good thing but it’s all we can do. You and him will thank me later.” Michael said before grabbing a towel and heading back into the door he had just come out of.
Iscarat looked at Silva for a moment before asking.”Does he know where the bath is?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, well I don’t know why you brought the Agencies most wanted into my home or why you faked your death but I can only hope that you know what you’re doing.”
“Just trust me. You hate the Agency and we plan on fixing it so you just need to act like we aren’t here.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice. If you’re sticking it to the Agency then I’m in.”
