Reggie pounced at Scott only to be hit by Collin’s sword. The slash ripped off Reggie’s arm but it did nothing to stop him. The arm that was just cut off shot out an almost string like blood at Reggie’s body. Before their eyes the blood pulled the arm back into place as if it was never cut at all.

“Run!” Scott yelled as he slowly stood up. As he did, Reggie charged at Collin only to get his head lopped off. Like the arm it pulled itself back together.

“Don’t think I’ll just abandon someone. He may have been my friend but he’s dead now. For now we need to figure out how to survive this.” Collin said to Scott as he stood up.

“Okay, well we can’t kill these things with silver so it would be better to stop it. I have an idea that may work.” Scott said.

“Okay… what is it?” Collin asked right as I ran by. Followed by a blast of purple hued flame. They both looked to see where the flames had come from to see Mordred screaming and swinging Clarent to and fro. Compton had wrapped body in his chains and was desperately trying to stop her from going any further. However, she was stronger than she looked. She was slowly dragging him out the door as she was forced to attack me again and again.

“Nevermind…” Scott replied to Collin as he watched run away.

Each flaming slash she let out was hot enough to burn you even if you even got close to it. Thus her flames turned Reggie into a flaming monster. He desperately flung himself at Scott and Collin who were trying not to be set ablaze. I was also trying to not be set ablaze by my own boss as Compton held her back. Though he did give me enough time to grab Reggie’s magic prison. I pointed it at Mordred.

“Let go, Compton!” I yelled. He did as I wished, allowing Mordred to charge at me. When she did I tapped the button on the cube shaped device and while forcing some of my magic into it. The sides of it glowed a neon blue as it twisted open. With a flash of light Morded was gone.

“Hey why don’t you help us?” Scott yelled as he started climbing up the sides of the alleyway. Using window sills as grab points and foot holds. Collin was attempting the same thing but he was ineffectively swinging his sword at the flaming Reggie.

“What do you want me to do?” I asked.

“I don’t know! Stab it or something. That’s the only thing you’re good at anyways!” Scott yelled.

“Well now I don’t want to help you. Plus it’s still on fire. Attacking it would only harm me.” I stated.

“Just help us, damn it!” Collin yelled right before Reggie fell over in the fetal position. He continued to burn though.

“What happened?” Scott asked.

“Perhaps the fire was hot enough to burn out the infected blood?” I said, not sure of how it happened either.

As Scott and Collin both climbed down we realized something. The barrier was weakening. Running over to where we could see Iscarat, we saw him standing still and concentrating on keeping the barrier up. Several agents lay on the street. Many of them looked either dead or in serious condition. Medea, or should I say Medea’s double was currently fighting one of the agents. Strangely medea seemed shorter and I didn’t see Rebeccah with her.

She was probably in her late teens with her hair tied back. Adorning her was a blue and grey tunic and armor that covered her chest, shoulders, and shins. It almost reminded me of roman centurion armor. She wielded a hand axe in her right hand and in her left a spiked gauntlet. The gauntlet was black with red etching all over it. It reminded me of the etchings on my knife. It made me wonder if it was enchanted? Ten I got my answer.

As Medea attempted to slip around the agent, the gauntlet glowed red until a burst of flames shot out at her. Medea jumped back to avoid the flames but not without firing several needles made of blood at her. The needles exploded on impact, not with her but with an invisible force surrounding her body.

“Who is that?” I asked as we charged at Medea.

“That’s Ida, she’s a sorcerer and an expert at enchantment magic.” Collin said as he grabbed a random magic prison from among the agents.

“She’s good.” I said as I took my last shot at Medea’s double. This got her attention as she fired several blood needles in my direction. I tried dodging but surprisingly none of them hit me. Instead they hit every agent lying on the street. Six of them stood up. Some screamed like Mordred did and the others couldn’t say anything probably because they were dead.

“We can’t fight this many!” Scott and Compton yelled.
