《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Witch Trials - Part 033

As I listened to their conversation I realized I had no idea what I was doing. What would I do once this was over? Usually I would just accept whatever was thrown at me and deal with it as it happened so I never really thought about what I would do next. Maybe I should do something fun. I have the ability to time travel after all. Why shouldn’t I go see something that you could never see otherwise.

“What are you gonna do after this, Lou?” Collin asked me.

“I don’t know. I’ll see what life throws at me.” I replied.

“That’s the sloths guide to do anything my friend.” Ida said with a smirk.

“Well, what do you suggest I do then?”

“Me telling you what to do with you life will not help you. You need to figure that out yourself.” she said.

“Although this isn’t a military so you will not be charged with desertion I would consider asking for leave before making any decisions to do so.” Mordred interjected.

“Well, I would say that after this they would deserve a little bit of time to themselves.” Compton said to Mordred.

“Fair enough. They would deserve some time off after this. However, that is ultimately up to their supervisor.” Mordred said.

“And I happen to be the supervising officer of Ida and Collin. Director Langston is the superior officer of Aaron and John but I am their supervisor. Then you have Lou, who’s superviing officer is Scott. I don’t really think Lou is going to get any time off but the others will.” Compton said.

“I’ll ask Scott to give him time off on my behalf.” Mordred said as she waved a glance at me.

“We’ve arrived.” Iscarat said as we reached a fork in the road. I couldn’t tell where Medea’s hideout was supposed to be and neither could anyone else so I pulled out the compass. It spun around for a moment before pointing towards the building directly in front of us. It was a two story building that had several boarded up windows and had moss sticking out of several places.

It reminded me of one of those haunted houses from an old kids cartoon or someplace a parent would tell their child to never go. The vibes that rang from this place were enough to send a chill down a few of our spines. The rest of us didn’t care and approached the building.

As we approach the building Mordred and Compton didn't pull out their weapons or even seem like they wanted to fight. I had assumed we would fight Medea but from the outside it did not seem that way. Mordred walked right up to the door and gave a strangely proper knock. Within a few moments the door was opened by Medea who was not particularly happy.

“Come to try and stop me again?” Medea asked with an annoyed look.

“No, instead we were hoping that ywe could come to some kind of agreement.” Mordred said in a way that made it sound like she was physically in pain from saying it.

“What kind of agreement?” she asked while raising an eyebrow in suspicion.

“As you know it is the duty of the Agency to protect as many innocent people as possible. In this instance it would be much better for you to use the prisoners we have at the Agency instead of the innocent people of London. We can supply you with every prisoner we have which are all powerful people and monsters.”

“An interesting idea, and if I refuse?”

“We will attempt to stop you.”

“Fine, but we are doing it where I choose and in order to make sure that there is no shenanigans I will keep one of your own as a hostage. You have five days to procure all of the prisoners you have and bring them to Aylesbury. I will perform the ritual there.”

“I am glad that you have accepted our offer.” Mordred said as she began to walk away.

“The hostage?” Medea said. Stopping Mordred in her tracks.

“Of course… Lou, go with her.” Mordred said. I walked up to Medea who stabbed me in the side with a blade-like bit of blood.

“What was that for?” I asked with a shocked but not necessarily surprised tone.

“Insurance. Can’t have you trying to kill me now can I?” she said as she gestured for me to walk inside.

“Fair enough.” I replied before walking past her and through the door. Mordred and the others gave me worried looks before walking away.
