《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Witch Trials - Part 048

Silva sat up on the bed and looked at the shocked Scott with empathetic and sad eyes. She knew he would hate her for this and was ready for it. Scott slowly walked inside and the Director shut the door behind him, setting the deadbolts in place. Silva knew what was coming next, the rage of someone who she betrayed. The sound of her begging for mercy. At least that’s what she thought. She was rather surprised by what he did instead.
Walking up to her he wrapped his arms around her despite them being broken and began to cry. It wasn’t a normal cry though, it was more like that of a scared child. Almost as if he had yet to cry since he lost her and this had set the floodwaters free. She couldn’t help but cry with him. It was a beautiful sight to behold. Two who had been apart for so long were now together in a loving embrace.
The tears continued flowing for nearly an hour before the two even spoke to one another. By that time though they were both a mess as their eyes were bloodshot and their noses had begun running. It wasn’t a very clean emotional moment. To make it worse, neither of them could properly speak to the other because they had been crying so much that any opportunity to talk led to even more emotional stress.
“Why? Why did you leave me?” Scott finally asked.
“I had something I needed to do. I couldn’t tell you about it or else I risked you getting involved.” Silva responded sheepishly.
“With the Masked Man?” he asked with a slightly annoyed tone.
“... yes... “
Scott got up from the bed and started pacing the small room in deep thought. He looked like he was in pain both emotionally and physically as he did. After a few minutes of pacing and making Silva uneasy he grabbed his flask out and drank a few swigs. Putting it back he sat down on the floor opposite of the bed so he could look at Silva.

“Did Compton know?” he asked.
“No, only Iscarat knew I was working for the Masked Man.” she replied.
“Iscarat knew, huh. Did he also know you faked your death?”
“Yes…”
“So he took advantage of the fact that I wanted revenge for your death and didn’t stop me from allowing him to destroy my body?” Scott said as the runes in his right arm began to glow and he slammed his fist into the wall to his right. A large indentation was created in the wall causing Silva to flinch in response. She could tell he was pissed now.
“So is it true that Lou Barret is in fact the masked Man?” Scott asked.
“... He is.” she said.
“Well then, is that the truth? Is any of what you told me the truth?” Scott asked as he stood up.
“Everything I told you is the truth. You know I wouldn’t lie to you.” Silva said.
“And yet you lied to me from the very start?I will accept that Lou Barret is in fact the Masked Man since your father told me so. However, I can’t trust what you have to say otherwise. You have been lying to me since the very beginning. I don’t even know if you actually loved me or if you were just using me.” Scott said angrily.
“I do love you! I always have! You need to trust me. You can’t trust Merlin or my father, they’re evil and have been using the Agency for their own personal gain!” Silva begged as she began to cry again.
“Perhaps, but they didn’t fake their death to go traipsing around with my apprentice. Until I have a reason to trust you again you can rot in this cell.” he said before knocking on the cell door.

“Please, I’m begging you to trust me. They’ll use you until you are just a shell before casting you aside.” she pleaded as she latched onto his back. She continued crying on his back as she did.
“...”
“... Please…” she begged softly.
As soon as the door opened he continued through it while she desperately tried to cling to him. He responded by sliding out of his coat in a swift motion before Director Langston shut the door and latched the deadbolts. She stood behind the door holding the coat with tears streaming down her face. Holding the coat in her arms she clung to it like it was something precious before punching the wall as hard as she could with her right hand over and over. She let out an angry grunt as she looked at her hand, revealing that her knuckles were now covered in blood and cuts.
The sight of the blood on her hand made her start to chuckle a bit before bursting into thunderous insane-like laughter. Wrapping her hand in the coat she slunk against the wall next to the bed and slid to the floor. “I guess, I’m still human. I thought for sure that I had become a monster after all that I’ve done but I still bleed and feel pain like a regular human. I just hope that I can still be redeemed after all of this. Maybe we can all be a family again.” she said before passing out against the wall.
