Rhea was in her room crushing some different plants together in a mortar and pestle when she heard a knock. She called for them to come in as she set the pestle down and began wiping her hands off. To her surprise Morgana entered. Although she didn't look sad or really shower much emotion Rhea could tell something was wrong.
"What's wrong, Morgana? Did you have a lover spat with Arthur?" Rhea asked.
"I wish it was just that." Morgana replied as she sat on Rhea's bed with a huff.
Okay, it's a sitting down kind of talk. This isn't good." Rhea said not so subtly to herself.
"Arthur is going to get married to someone else." Morgana said.
"Okay, that wasn't what I was expecting at all. What was his reasoning? Because I doubt he would marry someone else unless he had no other choice." Rhea said calmly.
"The Anglo Saxons are getting bolder and Arthur needs help to fight them off. He had to strike a deal with the Welsh in order for them to aid him. The price was a marriage between him and the Welsh princess." Morgana explained.
"So it was a good reason." Rhea said. Morgana gave her a somewhat shocked look.
"He probably is having a hard time deciding to accept. You know he loves you and he is probably only doing it because he has to. He has the responsibility of protecting all of the Britons so you can't blame him for this." Rhea said with an empathetic tone.
"Is there a way he can marry me and keep up the deal with the Welsh?" Morgana asked.
"Perhaps, but if you do it then there is no going back and you would be betraying Arthur's trust."

"Give some time to think about it." Morgana said.
"I do want you to know that I would do anything for you but I must advise against doing anything like this. However, if you do decide that you will not regret it then I will help you through it." Rhea said with a caring voice.
“Okay, I’ll make a decision by the end of the hour.” Morgana said as she stood up and left.
As she had said Morgana decided to accept Rhea’s idea within the hour even though she wasn’t entirely sure what it was. She returned to Rhea’s room and asked what she should do. Rhea, knowing that it was a bad idea gave her a small vial. It contained a clear liquid that had no smell or taste.
“What is it?” Morgana asked.
“It’s a special medicine to make someone give into all of their desires. Give it to Arthur in some wine and sleep with him.” Rhea explained.
“But we haven’t been married yet!” Morgana exclaimed.
“Yes, but he will have to marry you in order to keep things quiet. As for getting the Welsh armies to join him. Well, I can discuss that with Merlin and maybe we can come up with an alternative.” Rhea said.
“Okay… but will this even work?” Morgana asked.
“Of course. I crafted the medicine myself.” Rhea said pridefully.
“Thank you.” Morgana said as she took the vial.
“You’re welcome. Now you should probably ask the kitchen if they can prepare a wine for you and Arthur to share after dinner.” Rhea said as she sent her off.
After Morgana left Rhea began mixing some more medicines like she had been before. Despite being in the castle she couldn’t help but want to make the medicines. The castle would then sell them to the people for a good price which helped the people quite a bit. It was one of the things that allowed for more friendly ties between the neighbors and humans as witches like herself were technically neighbors. As she began mixing some ingredients she heard another knock at the door.

“Come in.” she called. Merlin opened the door and walked in.
“Merlin, what can I do for you?” she asked.
“I was wondering what you were planning?” Merlin said questionably.
“Well, I was hoping to ask you how we could possibly make the Welsh reconsider their agreement with us. I heard that they wish for Arthur to marry their princess.” Rhea said.
“That is correct. I’m guessing you want Morgana to marry Arthur as well?”
“Correct. However, I don’t know all of the details.” Morgana stated.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
