《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 025

“Can’t you just kill him now and end this whole thing?” Arthur asked.
“We can’t. The universe will fix anything that could alter something that I’ve experienced in a later part of the timeline. If we attempt to kill him it will simply fail. We also can’t expose him because he will still end up killing you and making it look like I did it.” I replied with a somewhat downtrodden tone.
“Well I guess that settles it then.” Arthur said.
“What’s settled.” Mordred asked.
“I will die and you will all go to the future and stop Merlin from whatever he is doing.” Arthur said.
“Sadly, that’s all we can do. However, we can’t leave just yet. That piece of shit God of time said we can’t leave for a while.” I said.
“Then I shall make you a knight of the Round Table and you can stay here until then. Everything will be done as it should and you can think of a way to stop Merlin. However, I still can't believe that Merlin would attempt something like that.” Arthur said with a grimm smile.
"Thanks but is that really okay?" I asked.
"I see no reason not to. You're my daughter's subordinate and have to thank you for saving her in some way." Arthur said unconvincingly.
"Father, you don't have to do something like that." Mordred interjected.
"Is there another reason you want me around? You seem way too easily convinced and it doesn't sound like thanking me is your only motive. Sorry if I sound rude but you seem way too trusting for someone you just met." I asked.
"You have a good subordinate, Mordred. He catches on quickly. You are correct that I have my own reasonings for keeping you close. You are very powerful and I could use your aid fighting the Saxon's. I also do not think it wise for someone from the future wandering around my kingdom. Even if you're pure hearted that doesn't mean you couldn't cause some damage. I also want to be able to talk with you and Mordred at any point as I have many more questions." Arthur explained.

"That's fine with me." I replied.
"I agree as well." Mordred replied.
"We're okay with it as well." We all heard Compton say from inside the amulet.
"So that's where the others you said you escaped with are? I find that amulet to be quite intriguing." Arthur said as he rubbed his chin.
"I should probably get back inside of the amulet now. It would be bad if my past self saw me, right?" Mordred said.
"That's probably a good idea." I said before walking up to her. She placed her hand on the amulet and like before she vanished into the amulet.
"Now that we have a form of agreement I'll have to introduce you to the others as a knight of the Table." Arthur said as he began walking towards the door. Pushing the door open he began walking down the hallway with me following closely behind. The knight that asked for my weapon walked up to Arthur and asked him a quick question to which he nodded his head. Having been given permission the knight turned to me and held my knife out.
"I am sorry for taking it but we have to take proper precautions." The knight said.
"Thank you. Though don't worry about it. You were just doing your job." I replied as I took the knife back and returned it to it's sheath. The knight bowed his head and quickly walked off.
As we walked I noticed a familiar face. Not Mordred's but Merlin's. He was standing in the hallway talking with a man in his early twenties. Even though I knew I wouldn't be able to kill him I desperately wanted too. I couldn't do anything though except to maintain my composure and have some self control. Hopefully everyone inside the amulet will do the same thing.

"Merlin, I have a request for you." Arthur said with a smile as if he had not just heard that this man was going to kill him.
"Yes, arthur. What can I do for you?" Merlin asked politely.
"I am to make this man a knight of the Round Table. Could you commission the Lady of the Lake to craft him a sword for me? I can pay any amount she wishes as you know." Arthur asked in the nicest tone I have possibly ever heard.
"You wish to make this man a knight of the Table? That sounds rather hasty." Merlin replied.
"He is worth far more than his weight in salt." Arthur said.
"I understand. If you think so then I shall ask her to do so. What is your name?" Merlin asked as if he was the guy in a video game character creator.
"Micheal." I replied as I extended my hand.
"Merlin." He said as he shook my hand.
