《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 027

“What might that be?” I asked
"Mordred is crippled from the waist down and Merlin is now living with us." Iscarat said with an angry huff.
"It's not my fault that I'm crippled, you useless eunuch bastard!" Mordred yelled at him angrily.
"Well I handled Merlin far better than you did and I'm an old man, you cunt!" Iscarat yelled back.
"Both of you need to stop! We can't figure out a plan if we're too busy fighting each other." Compton yelled. Neither of them could think of a reply so they both shut up.
"Mordred is sadly unable to walk so it would probably be best if she stays inside of the amulet and rests. As for Merlin, this will be the perfect time to see if he has any weaknesses that we can exploit when we go back." Elysif said.
"I agree, which means you'll have to keep an eye on him." Compton said to Lou.
"Or I could just challenge him to a fight as some form of practice." I replied half sarcastically.
"That is true. You'll get better at fighting and we may be able to learn something about how he fights. However, we'll still need to keep an eye on him as we have no idea what he is actually planning to do." Elysif said.
"Are we even sure he has some big master plan? For all we know he could have just had a bad day and ended up killing Arthur. Then tried to cover it up and ended up down a rabbit hole he couldn't get out of." I said.
"You have a point but if that's the case then why was the future you trying so hard to stop him?" Iscarat replied as he began to pace around the room.

"I don't know. Maybe I was just trying to keep the timeline in check so that we could all survive?" I said with an unsure tone.
"That is plausible. However, I think that the future you would have left a note or something." Iscarat said.
"It doesn't matter. We just need to keep an eye on him. I'll see what I can do to possibly fix Mordred's legs. I doubt I'm skilled enough to do so but my blood magic may be able to help. For now I'll be inside the amulet." Elysif said as she touched the amulet and disappeared. Mordred touched it as well and disappeared into the amulet as well.
"And you two?" I asked Compton and Iscarat.
"I'm gonna take a nap. Let me know when there's something to eat." Compton said as he grabbed the amulet and disappeared. Iscarat didn't say anything and did the same as Compton, disappearing into the pendant.
With all of them gone I could finally rest. Between everything that's happened I think I've only had around three hours of sleep over the past three and a half days. I laid down on the bed and slowly faded into unconsciousness.

Arthur was in his room when a knock came from the door. Since he was expecting them he simply walked over and opened the door. Mordred was standing there with an uncertain look on her face.
"You wanted to see me?" She asked.
"Yes, please come in." Arthur replied as he opened the door more so that she may enter. She did and walked towards the dresser which she leaned against.
"I'm guessing I did something wrong." She said as she crossed her arms.
"Not at all. I was just going to ask you what you thought of the Masked Man that we took in." Arthur said.

"I think he's an idiot and will cause us nothing but trouble." She said.
"That may be true but I assure you he may be more useful than you realize. I have decided to make him a knight of the Round Table." Arthur stated.
"But father-" She started to rebuttal.
"It is the only way to keep an eye on him and be able to use him effectively. He is very capable and we could use him against the Saxons. For now I want you to pretend that he is an old friend that you forgot about until recently." Arthur said adamantly.
"Of course, but I want to know how he knew I was a woman?" Mordred asked.
"He's from the distant future. He also knows that you are my daughter."
"That's impossible. Magic that can alter time is impossible by all means." Mordred said with a tone of disagreement.
"Suit yourself. However, I would like you to keep this a secret from everyone. That includes Elijah Langston." Arthur said.
"I understand."
"Now, you should go and rest. Perhaps later we can play a game or do something together? I'm not entirely sure as to what I'm supposed to do to have fun with my daughter but I will try." Arthur said.
"Thank you, and I would love to have a practice bout, if you're up to it?" Mordred said with a smile.
"I would love that." Arthur said with an unexpected chuckle. With that Arthur opened the door back up and let Mordred leave. He heaved a heavy sigh after he shut the door back.
"I wonder how much time I have until I'm killed? Probably shouldn't waste it." He said to himself before laying down on the bed and resting.
