《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 033

Thankfully the only person there was Shera so I didn’t have to worry about others listening. She happened to be cleaning one of the banners on the wall with a duster-like cleaning tool on the far side of the room and was dressed in the same clothes that she was the last time that I saw her. Walking up to her she turned to me and it almost seemed like she scowled at me as I approached her.
“Shera, I have a request for you.” I said as I stopped in front of her.
“What can I do for you?” she asked emotionlessly.
“I will have to warn you that if you lay another hand on Medea then I will do far worse to you.” I said in a threatening tone.
“I see, however, I can do as I please. I have served this castle far too long to be told what I can and can’t do to my subordinates.” she said with an equally threatening tone and a prideful smile.
“You will do as I requested from you or you will suffer!” I said in a far more threatening tone as my mask began morphing around to that of a spiral of teeth and tentacle-like limbs reached out and touched Shera on the head. She gasped out of fear and uncomfortability as one of the tentacles caressed her face.
“I will not touch her again… you have my word.” she said out of exasperation stepping back the masked morphed into its usual form. She breathed heavily and clutched her chest as I walked off. I couldn’t help but chuckle to myself as I began walking to my room.
“Are you sure that that was the best way to handle that?” Elysif asked from the pendant.

“Of course not, but it will leave the longest impression. Plus, know nothing about her so it would be impossible for me to just blackmail her.” I responded as I exited the main hall.
“Okay, if this goes wrong though then I’ll be the first to say I told you so” she replied.
“I’ll remember that and I’ll have Compton or Mordred say it first.” I replied with a snarky voice.
“They won’t you ass, I’ll make sure of it.” she retorted.
“You two need to get a room.” I heard Compton say from inside.
“Weren’t you in the library, Compton?” I asked before hearing the sound of Compton being choked out.
“He’s going back to the library.” Elysif said after a moment.
“Is he… okay?” I asked.
“He’s fine. Just bored.” She replied.
“Alright then. Do you guys need anything?” I asked.
“We should be fine. Eventually I’ll need more bandages for Mordred but we should be fine for now.” she replied.
“Okay, I’ll talk to you later then.” I replied as I arrived at my room. I opened the door and walked in to see Medea sitting next to the bed. She shot up as soon as I walked in like she was waiting on me.
"Is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yes, would you... be willing to help me with something?" She asked with a tone of embarrassment.
"Of course. What do you need?" I asked before she held out a piece of paper.
"Could you teach me to read? I was asked to give this to you and I can't seem to read it." She said even more embarrassed than before.
"Sure." I said as I took the paper and looked it over. Every word was spelled wrong and I couldn't really understand what it said either. It was as if someone tried to write in a thick Scottish accent with a French twang. After a moment of trying to decipher the words they began to jumble together to form out a sentence in perfect English. I guess the mask was properly translating things as it should. It read: "meet me tonight near the woods to the east after dinner."

"It just says that someone wants to talk after dinner tonight. Though it's very poorly written, I think I should teach you the proper way to read and write." I said as I held my hand in front of the pendant. Nothing came out so I began waving my hand in front of it. Medea gave me a confused look as I did which was starting to make me feel very self aware. Then a few books appeared just above my hands.
"Let's start with these." I said holding them out. One was the Swiss Family Robinson and the other was the Iliad. Jesus, these books were long and I'm not sure if these could be considered beginner books. A 1883 English dictionary also came with it. Thanks…

Passing Onto Fog
This is another attempt at the world travelling reincarnator. I dropped my other story because I didn't like where it was going and I felt trapped in the Narutoverse. This time, I'm going to have the main character travelling to more than just one world and they won't all be action based. Have fun and thank you! The first chapters are rough, but I believe I'm improving! Please stick around while I find the style I wish to write in!
