《The Supernatural Case of an Accidental Time Traveler》Round Table - Part 055

“Anyways, we have a day to ourselves. What should we do?” I asked.

“Good question. There isn’t really much to do here. Iscarat, is there anything fun to do in your house?” Mordred asked.

“Not really. Unless you want to read sorcery books.” Iscarat said.

“Before this little trip I would have been all for learning some magic but I am currently feeling a bit of resentment towards magic.” I said.

“That’s understandable.” Elysif said. Both Mordred and Compton nodded in agreement.

“I know of a group of hot springs in the forest that you could all enjoy.” Lily interjected.

We all looked at Lily then at each other. It didn’t sound like a bad idea. Since we had nothing better to do and we could use some time to relax in a hot bath. None of us seemed against the idea from our faces. The only thing I was worried about though was that it might be a trap.

“Where is this hot spring?” Mordred asked cautiously.

“About a ten minute walk from here.” Lily said as she picked up her tea cup and began sipping it. It was far too hot though and she burnt her tongue.

“We could go there for a bit.” Compton said eagerly.

“Alright then. I guess we will head out after breakfast.” I said.

With that the others all agreed. We took some time to eat and talk though so we didn’t end up leaving for a while. When we did though Lily changed into her faerie form and led us through the forest to a large clearing that was filled with boulders and small pools of bubbling steamy water. Compton, Iscarat, and I were told to go to one pool while the others all went to another. Lily attempted to get in with Compton, Iscarat, and I but Elysif ended up dragging her unwillingly to the other pool.

The water felt amazing and hot. I don’t think I’ve been in a hot bath since coming here. That is if you can call it a bath. Iscarat waded in the pool for a good half an hour before getting back and heading inside the pendant to lay down. Compton went inside the pendant as well fifteen minutes later. I finally had the pool to myself when Mordred, Elysif, and Lily all came over to me. However, I was a bit surprised as both Mordred and Elysif were just holding their clothes rather than putting them on.

“Did you want to get in this pool or something?” I asked.

“We want to go in the pendant. We forgot towels and are too wet to put our clothes on. We also figured that we could get some clothes for Lily here since she’s only been covering herself with her hair.” Mordred said.

“Alright, though I have to say the view is wonderful.” I said as I tossed the pendant to her. I received a quick slap to the back of the head for saying that before they all disappeared.

The pendant dropped to the ground in which I picked up and placed around my neck as it was before. I was all alone again and although it was relaxing I had gotten used to at least someone making noise. The silence almost seemed scary. Did I feel this way before traveling back in time? I wonder if I even cared about being around people or not back then? Who knows. It was so long ago that I can’t remember.

Just as I was finally getting used to being alone I heard the sound of brush moving around and twigs snapping. I turned and grabbed the practice sword so that it was at least in my hand when whatever it was appeared. To my surprise it was a rather muscular older woman. She didn’t seem to see me yet as she began walking over to the other side of the pool I was in and started to strip.

“Who are you?” I asked before she could remove anything. She looked around and then realized I was sitting down in the pool right in front of her with my practice sword in hand. The steam clouded much of my figure but she could still make out my body.

“I am the Lady of the Lake, and you are?” she asked with a look of curiosity. I couldn’t believe that this was Merlin’s wife.

“I am Sir Micheal, recently knighted knight of the round table.” I said as I let go of my practice sword.

“May I ask what you are doing here? This isn’t a place for normal humans or even neighbors for that matter.” she asked.

“I was brought here for training by Mordred who asked Oberon to hunt me for sport as part of my training.” I said. She chuckled at this.

“What an interesting way to train someone.” she said as she stifled her laugh.

“Well, I think she’s trying to kill me.” I said with a similar chuckle.
